We had an unexpected extended stay at this beautiful campsite by the river Thames, the staff couldn't have been more helpful in keeping us on one hard standing pitch near the river, it turned out to be a prime spot.
In my opinion the better pitches are in the Ash and Maple areas of the site, these are to the left of the site and away from the tent area. The site road leads through the middle for about half a mile to a well equipped play area and large paddock.
Large hard standings for larger RVs and 5th wheelers are on either side off the site road, plenty of service areas and motorhome service points.
Three good shower and toilet blocks with the newest one at the further end of the site, the toilets are cleaned first thing in the morning and in the afternoon, lots of negative comments in reviews on other forums regarding the cleanliness of the showers and toilets.
The toilets and showers were very dirty on lots of occasions, this was down to the people using them and not cleaning up after them selves. The toilets had been blocked with toilet rolls stuffed down them and security door entry locks rendered u/s.
During our 13 night stay I witnessed some very close encounters between cars and young cyclists riding around the site.
If your in a motorhome or caravan and want to avoid the constant blue haze of choking charcoal BBQs then the Harding pitches in the Ash and Maple area are the better choice in my opinion.
Some really beautiful walks along the Thames bank to, the small village of Hurley, couple of pubs in the village.
Henley on Thames is worth a visit and there is a Tesco supermarket on the west side of town, a small shop at reception for milk, bread etc, papers can be ordered for the next day.
The only negative comment I can make is the hard standings are constructed from recycled road surface and some of the newer pitches have sticky tar residue present, this ruined my ground sheet.
Very friendly and helpful staff despite being under a lot of pressure during busy times, if we are down this way again, this site is well worth a return visit.

Fantastic site with plenty of space and well maintained. Facilities were adequate but one shower was permanently out of action which made it awkward with children. The shop had everything you need for a good stay. The site was so relaxing and a walk down the Thames, the dogs thoroughly enjoyed. Will come again!

This has to be one of the best located sites we have ever stayed at. Very beautiful setting with the River Thames a stones throw away in a lovely countryside location. A haven for wildlife lovers, we spent ages watching the beautiful red kites circling all around. Also saw lots of other birds including a moorhen and her chicks, swans, geese, ducks and much more.
A walk up to Hurley Lock is a must if you like boats plus it has the added bonus of a lovely teashop when you get there. Plenty of benches along the way if you want to take it really easy and enjoy various views of the River.
The staff could not have been more welcoming, more helpful or more friendly and were absolutely excellent when we had to have the breakdown services out because of an issue with our hitchlock. A very well maintained site and one we will most definitely be visiting again.

We visited here for 2 nights camping. A pleasant clean large site. It is situated next to the river Thames with easy access to Hurley Village which has a shop, church and several pubs. Lovely picnic grounds and walking by the river. Pitches are a mixture of grass and hard standing, hedged and open. Most are large. There is some separation of caravans, Rv's, tents and motor homes. There are 3 toilet / shower blocks in good condition; plenty of hot water. This site is a quiet site and does not allow music. Lots of bird feeders and wildlife.

On the way to this site we got stuck in traffic due to a truck catching fire on the motorway which had us stranded for approximately 3 hours. This in turn made us late for the 8pm deadline (ETA would have been 9pm) and so we were refused entry. The fact that we had 2 young children didn't bother the campsite and so we finally found alternative accommodation that evening at 11pm! The reason for not allowing us in was because we would have disturbed the other guests despite the fact that activity in the campsite carried on well past 10pm when we finally got in the next day.
That aside, our nearest shower block didn't have any hot water. We then went to the 'family' shower block which blasted out scalding hot water! Not good for small children. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the established wasps next next to us which resulted in my husband getting stung and one of the children in the site next to us as well!
Needless to say, we will not return to this site. It is a picturesque site near a lovely village but the campsite owners of Cornwall and Devon are much more accommodating!

We picked this site purely for the location - we wanted to camp near LEGOLAND. To this end, the campsite was perfect - took somewhere in the region of 20 minutes to get there which was great for us.
The campsite itself was lovely. We were (by design or accident, I am not sure) in the middle section next to the toilet block with the family shower rooms. I have raved about these rooms and I have not been to a campsite which betters them. They had 6 showers which were in huge cubicles containing a toilet, sink, shower and hooks. Having a 6 year old who attracts mud like a magnet these were a total godsend. Big enough that we could take all of our stuff and not feel cramped. The family shower rooms were spotless each and every time we used them. The separate toilets were kept quite clean - the was at the end of a week which had horrendous rain ALL week, so considering the mud that was around, was a miracle actually.
Washing up sinks were located at each of the 3 toilets and were well lit, almost undercover, and plentiful hot water. Given the weather during the week it was amazing at how non-muddy the site got. Cars have to drive over the grass to the tents and at the entrance point to our section the ground had been quite churned up, bark chippings were put down and once the rain stopped, it didn't take too long for it to dry up. Aside from that spot though the ground drained really well so at no point did we feel the ground got boggy underfoot which was a bit of a concern.
We explored the surrounding area - at reception they have leaflets, which when stamped by the campsite gave money off. We had always planned to go to the Roald Dahl museum in Missingdon (about 30 mins drive) so we were very happy to find out we could get in for 2for1 because of these!
The only criticism I have (and it is not really that, more of a wish thing) is the play area. They field was lovely and they have a new trim track type thing but my children didn't really rate it as it is very small and got very crowded. Not a major issue as we just played Frisbee in the wide open space.
I have recommended this site to friends and we are planning on staying there again next year to go to LEGOLAND again.

We have visited this site on many occasions for weekends. It is a very well kept site within walking distance of two lovely village pubs, 3 miles river dog walk with cream tea at lock on the way into Marlow and a short drive into Henley. We love coming here to unwind and enjoy one of our favourite pastimes. Well done Hurley Riverside - ticks every box for us. Toilet and shower facilities are excellent and pitches are generous.

My wife & I enjoyed 5 nights on this lovely campsite in late October.
It's a big site with great facilities. Three newish toilet blocks were always clean and hot water was plentiful. When we visited it was really quiet, but that's because it's a week before the end of the season.
The reception staff were very helpful with any queries we had, and the lovely local village (Hurley) is just a five minute cycle or twenty minute walk from the site. There are 3 pubs within 20 minutes walk, the best of which was The Rising Sun in my opinion.
A bus running between Henley & Maidenhead stops directly outside the site, which is very handy for fellow motorhomers! Taxis into Henley are £10 each way.
Nearby places to visit are Reading, Windsor, Marlow, Henley & Maidenhead. All are well worth visiting, particularly Windsor & Henley.
We will definitely return!

This was our first trip away with our new to us van - we were booked for fri & sat night and were very excited.
For reasons beyond our control we had to delay the trip and on speaking to the very helpful wardens we were told we could arrive sat morning as early as 8. We arrived eventually about 10 - we had booked a premier pitch and were given 62 on maple. We were able to pitch whichever way we wished and the spaces around the pitch were excellent. There was also a large area in the centre with no pitches so plenty of space for my children to play ball and ride bikes (my daughter rode without stabilisers this weekend for the first time too! )
The toilets and showers were very clean and hot - the faintly cubicles especially good with shower, sink and toilet in a large cubicle so really easy for me and children to get showered etc.
The assistant wardens were staying the the same area and were very helpful as were our 'neighbours' who all helped us put our full size awning up for the first time - hopefully we'll be able to do it ourselves next time!
We made use of the play area which my kids 6 & 4 loved and we also did a short walk along the wooded track, we wanted to do more but had come to the area to see firings off site so did not spend as much time there as we would have liked - we will definitely be back and are just a little disappointed that as they shut on 31/10 (Middle of half term) we won't make it back this season.
All in all quite possibly our new favourite site!

This was our first visit to this lovely site and most certainly won't be our last!
Both myself & my Husband stayed for three nights, across a lovely weekend during third week of September. Our Daughter, Husband & our three year old Grandson Henry visited us during our stay & also thoroughly enjoyed it, as there are some lovely little woodland walks along a pretty little stream, which also leads to the River Thames, where there is a large picnic area with very pretty views, with plenty of space for a small active Grandson to have fun!
We pitched our caravan in the Maple 'premium' pitch area, where all pitches are fully serviced with hard standings. We ourselves had pitch number 60 which had small entrance to woodland walk directly behind us. In this area, all caravans have a choice of pitching either front facing or 'side on' which we felt was a nice option. This section of site was circular, with all pitches of good size, with a good sized grassed area in centre.
We ourselves used our own on board facilities, but had a look at shower blocks/toilet facilities on site, which appeared lovely and clean, with plenty of toilets and showers present.
Lots of wildlife present, with cute bunnies always hopping around, who seemed quite happy to wander around caravans! Friendly ducks too, who we fed by hand in our awning on more than one occasion!
Easy access to this site through pretty Hurley village. I believe that access can also be gained in other direction, but as we did not travel that way cannot advise what route is like, but guessing also caravan friendly, as several RV's seen travelling in that direction.
We found staff here friendly and informative.
Would definitely recommend this site and will certainly be staying here again, possibly before site closes for season in October.
