June 2005 Just got back from our visit to Hurley. We stayed for 5 nights, on what was our first real forray into camping. The site was lovely, well laid out. I liked the fact that there were lots of little camping areas instead of one large one.
The site shop should be open soon which will make a big difference. No play area for kids. toilet blocks were clean, plenty of hot water in the showers(too hot for my children to handle though).
The reception will freeze your cold blocks for 20p a time and a bag of ice can be bought for 70p - nice touches. Nice walks by the river and not too far to the village for the pub! We used the site as a base for visiting London, windsor and Legoland. Will Def go back.

May 2005 Week-end visit for me and my son. Nice layout of park in lovely area. Walked into Marlow and back along River Thames. Pitch ample size for 4 berth tent or bigger. Washroom facilities were clean, showers hot, free hair dryers. No play area though. Site shop is not up and running yet but Tesco store in nearby henley. Would go back for another visit.

March 2005 We have just spent the first outing of the year here & I can assure you it wont be the last,we were only going for a couple of nights & ended up staying a week. The site was lovely, all toilets & showers very clean, showers could probably be too hot for young children but our daughters just about managed o'k, the plus side was having two wall mounted hairdryers instead of one. The new reception & shop is now being worked on. The Rising Sun in Hurley village has recently changed hands & we found this to be a very warm & welcoming, child friendly pub that served very good basic food, even for a very fussy vegetarian like myself. There are so many places to visit in this area but one worth while trip is to the child beale trust at Pangbourne, the children loved it & we did, so many animals & birds to see in amongst the lovely walks. Hurley is a site we will definately go back to again & again.

August 2004 Just returned about an hour ago. I can clear up the problem with the camp site shop, ITS CLOSED!! The village shop which is a good 15 minute walk away is open from 7.30am to 5.00pm.
This was our first camping trip and enjoyed every minute. Hurley is a great base for seeinbg the attractions ie Legoland and Windsor and Henly.
Will go back again.

August 2004 we have just returned from a visit to Hurley, it's really nice, very clean, very friendly warden, we have 3 children 14yr girl and11 yr & 6 yr boys who really enjoyed it, they learnt to fish! Could do with a pub a bit closer! but we will definately go again.

July 2004 We have just returned from Hurley (our first camping trip). We stayed in our tent and were very impressed with the facilities. it cost us £11 per night and feel that we got a lot for our money. The campsite is well laid out, although it is big it is devided into small enclosures which are close to shower blocks which make it feel a lots smaller. A lovely place to base yourself for exploring London and surrounding area. Some lovely walks by the river. Ice pack freezing 20p and free toilets / showers/ washing up facilities.

July 19th to 26th 2004 2 Adults 2 kids 8yrs and 4 yrs Stayed here for second time (see previous review) as we enjoyed the last visit so much. Stayed here fo 7 nights and it was great. Kids again enjoyed the big open spaces and walks along the River Thames, especially the boat locks at Henley. Facilities still fine but agree with previous reviewer about tap water pressure (stand well back to avoid embarassing patches). Only minor negative point was that the shop was once again closed. Thanks to the young teenage lads and girl from Ayelsbury in the next tent (with parents I hasten to add) you were all brilliant with my two lads and they really enjoyed playing football/water fights with you for your four day stay. Would thouroughlly recommend site once again for a way from it all relaxing break.

23/7/04-26/7/04 A lovely big site with lots of space. Plenty of free showers, although I did end up with a cold one on Sunday morning - I'll go earlier next time-before 9:30! Still we enjoyed our stay there and so did our little one she could play football to her hearts content. A small shop in the village, although it was'nt open when we needed it, so went up to Marlow about 3-4 miles up the road to Sainsbury's & Iceland. We will go again as it's a lovely well maintained site and reasonably price, we will probably stay longer next time and enjoy more sights.
