Visited for a short weekend break 6th, 7th and 8th. It was a nice hot dry weekend which always helps. 2 adults, 1 Child and the half-blind hairy housemate.
On arrival everyone was friendly and instructions were clear as to pitch location and other facilities. The entrances are gated and you are allocated a fob (£10 deposit - although I didn't have any cash so was kindly excused).
The pitch was generously sized our layout is 7. 5m x 4. 5m, we had plenty of room to spare and park the car. Even as the weekend progressed and the field filled up it never felt over crowded.
As we are 'newbies' the facilities exceeded my expectations (clean, bright, warm, working, always room, always hot water etc), I do hope all the other sites we plan to visit meet this standard.
The facilities we close, even when the block was being deep cleaned, the next block was an easy walk - the layout of the park seemed excellent in that respect.
We didn't make use of any of the other facilities or particularly explore the park or local area as we were more interested in discovering and honing our new tent, pitching, cooking etc. Did get an Ice-cream from reception price was not inflated. The electric hook-up was close so a standard 10m lead suffices
Henley Town Centre is about 5-10 minutes drive to Car parks, Waitrose occupy the town centre with a Sainsbury's local. We found the Tesco Extra located on the main road toward reading for our additional supplies. Plenty of other shops, cafes and pubs to choose from.
Saturday was quite full, noise died down by 9:30 - 10:00 pm
Staff / security circulated often, occasionally in a car, mostly by bicycle, friendly and approachable.
Check-out on the Sunday was Midday, so had plenty of time to pack up, didn't feel rushed. Was exceptionally hot and learned a lesson - pack-up first shower last!
Will definitely be returning here especially as its only about 40 minutes drive from Home.
Top points from our visit:
- Security of site.
- Wash room/toilet facilities.
- Pitch Space and park landscaping/hedging.
- Value for Money, two nights, large pitch 2 adults, 1 child, 1 dog electric hook-up £34

Got to site on a wet Friday and was greeted with a smile was given a map of the site which they pointed out where out pitch was and where the nearest facilities where located.
The ground was wet so had been put on a hard standing only problem was that the hard standing was same size as the van so had to put 1 wheel on the grass otherwise would have stepped straight out onto the mud. There is a security gate that takes you out to the Thames valley way which made for a nice sunday afternoon walk.
The site has 3 toilet blocks which were clean and liked like they had recently been refurbished.
Well laid out site with plenty of room between pitches.
My key fob didn't work on my second and when I took it back to report the issue the person in reception was very abrupt and questioned me as to why had a key fob for a different pitch. Was questioned as to how come I had the wrong fob as if I had some how picked the key fob myself.
Good location for Windsor, Lego land and Henley on Thames.
Will be staying there again.

Stayed here for a couple of nights just after the site opened for this year and I'll be back.
There had been quite a lot of rain prior to my arrival but this wasn't a major issue, must be good drainage because I was expecting worse. The pitches are in sectioned off areas separated by bushes, I'd imagine that these make excellent wind breaks when they've some foliage on them. Shower blocks/toilets are spotless and excellent quality, even hooks and a bench in the shower cubicles (amazes me how this is alien to some sites). Washing up facilities at the end of the shower blocks and they're partially covered against the elements, hot water in abundance and it is hot, they even have those little plastic round things that stop the water draining away (again other sites should take note, does bug me when there's no plugs).
Staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful, even jumped on their bike to make sure I'd found the pitch and got to it on the motorbike with no problems (like I said earlier there'd been some heavy rain).
Prices very fair for my pitch with hook up and I'll definitely be back.

Just had the Easter bank holiday weekend here.
Arrived Friday and left Monday.
Owners/staff could not have been more helpful. We stayed through storm Katie. Staff towed so many people off who struggled or would have if they didn't own 4x4's
The people here are wonderful. Great reception, shop, facilities.
This is a lovely site. Will not be our only visit.
Cannot recommend highly enough

Hurley Riverside is not our usual style of campsite as we like something more quirky, but it seemed lovely and fitted the bill for what we wanted out of this trip i. E. Local, decent facilities and good value for the time of year.
First up is the location. It's a rural / riverside haven but surrounded by several decent towns with forests, leisure centres, heritage sites and plenty more riversides to while away your time. The lock in the village is well worth a visit and we actually spent a whole day in the immediate vicinity and exploring the site, which is a rarity for us.
One of the big draws for me as a lone female travelling with kids was the security of the site. The barrier stops people entering unauthorised and security wardens patrol in the evenings. Plenty of staff stopped to chat to us and we found everyone we encountered very welcoming.
I like the way the site is split into smaller fields which stops the place feeling massive, however it does mean you don't feel as though you're camping near a river which is a shame.
The facilities themselves are good quality, clean and well located. The bonus of being a tenter amongst so many caravanners / motorhomers is that most units have on board facilities so we didn't have to share much.
Overall a lovely site which I have no doubt we will return to for a quick getaway. I can't really fault it but it has to lose a star for being a just a bit too. Normal.

Just had a weekend at Hurley. Nice location right on the banks of the Thames with walks along the Thames Path for as far as you want to go really. Facilities good, clean and plenty of hot water. It helped that the weather was good and we were able to cook and eat outside on both evenings before it got dark. Reception on arrival and departure was fine, no problems. Other than that we were left to ourselves.

The location of this site is just perfect. It is right next to the towpath near to the quaint and beautiful village of Hurley. Excellent facilities for dog walking on and off the lead. Plenty of bins for dog waste. Fantastic base for exploring the Thames area and within walking distance of 2 pubs in Hurley Village. We only tried the Rising Sun which was very welcoming and dog friendly. The site itself is a bit dated and nothing special. It is such a large site that it is rather impersonal and after 8 pm there did not seem to be any wardens there to uphold the site rules re quietness. The hardstandings are small and need to be relaid. Even though we stayed out of school holidays there were lots of children on bikes and scooters. I would say that this site would suit a family with kids very well but for 2 adults who have facilities in their caravan we would have been better off on a C. L had there been one in the area. Not sure if we would return as I think we will try the ones in Henley next time we are up that way.

This was our 1st outing in the caravan, having just upgraded from camping.
The site was very clean but did want to use the trip as a trial weekend with the van. The pitch we were placed on was very small and due to this we were only able to erect the porch awning and not the full awning. (we couldn't even get the car down the other side of the van due to the neighbours awning. )
Apart from this, its a nice site.

A great site in a great setting. Nice river side setting with good walks along the bank. Large site but split into lots of smaller areas which work well. We have plenty of space on our pitch and the site didn't seem crammed even though it was fully booked and it was Bank Holiday.
Toilets and showers were clean and tidy at all times.
Would return.
For a site of this size I think a shop you could go in and or a cafe/bar would be useful save having to drive. That said the Rising Sun pub did great food in the village.

We Used Hurley Riverside Park after a search for a camp site close to Legoland. They offered a two day pass for less than a one-day (gate price) ticket to Legoland.
Hurley was a great site. The layout made you feel like you were in a village, each area contained 8 to 10 vans/tents, as well as some hardstanding areas and services pitches.
The shower blocks were very clean and well maintained, but hot water in the gents was somewhat spasmodic. Apparently the female showers were hot at any time of day.
Clean water points, grey water and Elson points were ideally placed, with a hose or top to clean anything down. Pot washing facilities looked to be amazing, although only used them twice to clean a frying pan and grill.
Great climbing frame and play area for the kids, as well as a field for ball games. We flew a kite and thoroughly enjoyed it!
This was a fantastic site that catered for all tastes, from tent/caravan pitches, serviced pitches, electric hook-up (or not), to static homes you can rent by the week - whatever you needs it all seems to be catered for at this site.
Only wish we had booked for more days so we could have explored the local area more, especially Windsor, saw the castle from Legoland, as well as Heathrow Airport!
