An absolutely beautiful, immaculate and well kept countryside site beyond our expectations for the London area. The site is divided into small enclosed fields and the pitches are very spacious.

The toilets and showers were spotless and spacious with endless free hot water. The riverside location is spectacular, and you can walk for miles in either direction along the river.

By car you are in Maidenhead in 10 minutes and then Slough and the M4 corridor into London. The only negative would be that some days, but not all, the area takes its turn as the flight path into Heathrow, as does every other village within 50 square miles.

The sight of airliners makes up for the noise which is not too bad, and stops at night. Highly recommended for the London area.

Visited this campsite for three nights just before the first May bankholiday. I have nothing but praise for the sheer beauty and layout of this David Bellamy award winning site.

Nothing could prepare me for the cleanliness of the shower block with its new mordern facilities it was a pleasure to spend a penny in such pristine facilities.

Everywhere I looked was spotless from the toilets to the showers and outside sinks right through to the pitches itself, the owners work hard at keeping this site in tip top shape and it shows!

The site has a small shop where you can purchase a few treats and basic camping necessities the staff there were very friendly and helpful with advise on where to go shopping for a towel that I had forgotten to pack.

Maidenhead was just a ten minute drive away with everything you could want including cinema and leisure centre for those who felt the need to tear themselves away from the beautiful walks and nature trails along the Thames tow path

Woke up every morning to beautiful bird song- birds here have lot to sing about so no need to set your alarm just gently awake to their chorus. It was so wonderful to enjoy the wildlife from the rabbits peeping in the hedgerows to the squirrels, red kites and ducks.

A lovely mapped nature trail is available for those who really want to get to grips with nature. Great long long walks for those with dogs I saw a number of dogs who if they could talk would say they were having a great time.

Plenty of space for them to play and exercise. Weather was absolutely fabulous which just added to the splendour of this first class site.

I have no hesitation in strongly recommending this site to those who want to enjoy nature at its finest.

My only comment and it is just that, not a criticism, is that there is no on site playground for the little people, not an issue for my teenage son but may be significant to younger families.

In my opinion and the opinion of my 15 year old this is one of the best kept campsites we have ever been to. We left on the friday morning just as the bankholiday campers were arriving so can't comment on how this would effect the demand for showers and toilets but in my opinion there were ample toilets and separate family shower rooms I can't imagine it being too much of an issue.

If you decide to choose Hurley Riverside Park you will not be disappointed. Someone mentioned the flight path but I can honestly say I barely noticed the air traffic and it certainly didn't detract from my camping experience.

Well done Hurley Riverside Park! keep up the high standards which are a bench mark for other sites to follow.

This is a fabulous site. Superb toilet and shower facilities that are regularly kept clean. There is plenty of green space between caravans and on the field areas there is loads of space for children (and adults) to play. The site is very flat and very well run. A touch on the pricey side, but it is good quality. The fully serviced pitches are extremely useful. Right next to the river it provides lovely walks to the pubs in Hurley. A visit to Henley-on-Thames is a must. This is a site we have visited a few times and will go back to many times. Only downside is the lack of a shop on site.

May Bank Holiday - we received a very friendly welcome even though reception staff very very busy - pitch 64 in enclosed field with 10 ish other units, own drainage and water supply - plenty of space to site our van the way we wanted it - we saw three shower blocks and all were very clean, but only two showers per block so used our van's facilities as the camp site was full on our weekend stay.

I liked the feeling of being in an enclosed field with no one walking by - didn't find the site noisy despite being full and by 9.30 p.M. All was quiet, except for the fire works going off locally for maybe 15 minutes.

No play area for children, but I didn't see any unhappy ones - they were cycling or playing ball. The wardens were very friendly were the children were concerned. Looked like they were having great fun. It was great waking up to the birds singing, lots of rabbits late evening and if you are interested in birds, plenty to keep you occupied including Red Kites which were amazing to watch.

We didn't use the reception shop but the village shop in Hurley village had just about everything you needed and a ten minutes brisk walk away through farmland - missed it twice going past - just a doorway in a house!

Loved the site and thought the nature trail excellent. Walked along the Thames and drove into Henley on Thames on the Saturday and parked our van there quite easily though £6 to park up to 4 hours lovely place to walk and to shop - will definitely go again

Visited the site for a two night fri-sun stay.

Easy to find, welcome team really friendly. Great numbered pitches with plenty of space between neighbours. Water, shower/toilet blocks, washing up areas all ideally located and kept clean. The family shower block is fantastic and the best I’ve come across. The space provided in the cubical is huge with your own toilet, shower and vanity unit. More than enough space for a parent and children, great and roomy for one.

The site is environment friendly, encouraging recycling.

They provide a small shop on site; you will need to order your newspaper in advance.

The camp site is superbly situated along the Thames close to Hurley Lock. Marlow is a nice two mile walk along the river with good paths (being part of the Thames Path).

No clubhouse/pub on site making this a perfect place for peace and quiet.

Didn't see any children’s park (for those who have children).

Excellent caravan site with spotless toilets & showers. Well planted hedging which gave us privacy.

Staff very helpful & although only a small shop on site, adequate.

Lovely position alongside the River Thames with local places of interest nearby.

Secure site, which is great if you have young children.

Great bistro pub along the road which we samples the venison, delicious!

Would thoroughly recommend & we will return this year again!

We visited this site the weekend of the royal wedding, the site was clean and tidy, although by the monday all the bins were overflowing.

The toilet and shower blocks were adequate although there was nowhere to hang towels or clothing in the key coded blocks.

The best shower facilities are infact in a block marked family use only, the facilities in this block were far superior with each individual room having private facilities (wc sink and shower)guess which we used.

The staff must have been having an off weekend when we visited, the site warden on duty told us our windbreaks were a nuisance although this hadn't appeared to bother him until the monday when most people had gone home, and the receptionist who was dealing with an enquiry on the sunday would have made up my mind if I had been booking a pitch as she told the person enquiring about a booking she hadn't got time to wait for them to make up their minds, they would have to ring back!

The site does not cater for children, no playground which considering the site fee's I would have expected to find. The best part of this site is the access to the river the dogs loved it.

Personally although we only live about 10 miles up the road we would not visit this site again, there are better, more reasonably priced sites in the area.

The first visit to this site was planned as a brief stay to visit London on business, and recommended by my brother and family who are regular visitors.

It was the week before Easter weekend and we had not thought about school holidays, so although we were located in a relatively quiet corner we were unlucky with noisy children, playing near us which was not ideal for 2 quiet adults, and affected the spirit of 'the peace and quiet of an unspoilt natural environment'.

The location is ideal for getting into London - 40 minutes on the train from Maidenhead to Paddington and only £10 return at off peak times. (Car park £4.20 all day.)

We got to the site around 6pm and full info on our pitch location was provided with a warm and helpful welcome.

We had a fully serviced pitch, which was great for a couple of working days in London, but I was disappointed that digital TV coverage was poor, and the aerial socket on the service point was dead.

Poor signal also applied to WiFi coverage and mobile phone reception, which if you are working is not good.

I did look at the shower block and toilets which are passcode protected, and were clean and warm.

The location is only a couple of miles off the A404(M) and then A4130 so convenient after a long drive - and if like me you are not so keen on negotiating narrower roads with a tourer.

Just 2 weeks later my wife and I returned for a second visit, on the same pitch, to meet up with my brother and his wife in their motorhome. This was not school holidays or a Bank Holiday weekend, so the site was a lot quiter and we did experience 'the peace and quiet of an unspoilt natural environment'.

My wife and sister-in-law took advantage of visiting London on the Friday and Saturday, leaving myself and brother to experience the pubs of Cookham, Henley, and Hurley.

After setting up the satellite dish (see above experience on 1st visit!) we took a walk out of the back of the site.

It's just a short stroll along the beautiful Thames to Hurley, with a local shop and couple of pubs.

The first is Ye Old Bell and its prices for beer and food reflects that it is also a hotel, wedding and functions venue. But it has a nice bar and beer garden, and the real ale was good.

We continued the walk to The Rising Sun which is much quieter and a proper local pub.

We received a friendly welcome from the landlady followed by reasonably priced local real ale. Food is simple but good pub food and we thoroughly enjoyed the home made Toad-in-the-Hole. As people came in during the late afternoon and early evening we were made very welcome with conversation from the locals, and even a little banter from the landlord.

(We were informed that the new landlord and his wife have turned the pub around in the past year from what it had become.)

This site is good value for money being close to the peace and quiet of the Thames, but at the same time quickly accessible to our Capital City by train.

Good on site amenities (except TV and WiFi) and near to hand local amenities and attractions.

It's not too crowded, although I could imagine school holidays might be an issue for me personally.

But this will be my first choice on future visits to the area.

What a fabulous site! The pitch was fine, but what made it was the lovely walk by the river. We walked for miles along the river watching boats slide by and although there were lots of people around it was so peaceful and so clean along the river.

There was sun and shade and the walk was easy. In the evening we took our throw away barbie to the rivers edge (as not allowed on the grass at site) which was only a few yards from our pitch. We watched the sun go down in isolation as everyone else had left or stayed on site.

It was marvellous - jus us and the ducks! Oh, and the site facilities were fine and the security was good. Pub serving good food in a lovely setting a short walk away in village.

We were only there for one night stopping over on the way to visit family, but it was with reluctance we left as we felt we could have stayed longer to enjoy the river in the other direction and maybe take a boat ride etc etc.

Although we only live 10 miles away, we had never visited before but wanted a trip close to home for the first camp of the year and decided to stay local.

The campsite is divided up into different sections, we stayed in first section on the right and our pitch was surrounded by hedge on 3 sides, perfect for privacy and had loads of room.

The owners were lovely, very friendly and even gave us an extension lead as our hookup lead wouldn't reach.

The toilets were spotless, but then again the site wasn't full by any means. Showers were cold, but were told by another camper, that if we went earlier hot water was plentiful.

Small shop well stocked with ice cream and essentials. Henley 10 minute drive with Sainsburys and Waitrose.

We walked down the tow path to Marlow, which took 45 minutes. If you go there Burgers is a lovely tea shop and does fab cakes. Marlow has a lovely play park for children, independent shops and M&S and Waitrose.

We didn't venture far as wanted to relax. All in all our daughter aged 12, dog and us had a great time. Lots of room to walk dog, play ball, but quiet at night- Brilliant!

We will book again next month.
