A lovely, compact site, nestling on the banks of the Honddu River.
In the blisteringly hot weather of early August it was also pleasantly cool, being tucked into a steep-sided valley. Noel and Suzie provide a warm welcome.
The site has basic but functional facilities and this is reflected in the very reasonable pricing.
The only downside is the proximity of the Hay road, but it's not busy and therefore not too intrusive; it was nice to sit out in the evening to the sound of the river babbling along the other side of the site.
It's a short walk into Brecon, though I didn't do it.

Such a beautiful campsite, all the amenities you could need, warm and welcoming hosts,
It's right by a river which is great for when it's hot and it's a 10 minute walk into Brecon, so not too close that you feel like you're in a town, but not too far away that you can't do a food shop by foot.
10/10 will go again.

A well kept, small, quiet, low impact camp site.
Good to hear the babbling river Usk at night and see the free range hens.
Easy walk into Brecon
A very enjoyable 2 nights.
We hope to return.

We hadn't been to this site for 12yrs, primarily due to my lifesaving brain surgery.
Seeing owners Susie & Noel's faces brought it all back for me.
Still the fantastically unique site it always was - immaculately kept with the essential facilities in great working order.
Still love the river running through the site with its wild brown trout, and the ability to cook on an open fire outside of the tent and to spend time by it in the gloaming afterwards.
Felt very refreshed by our visit- thank you!

UNBELIEVABLE ! Beautiful campsite by the river. Heartwarming welcome. New and clean toilets. Bucolic setting, small hens roaming free.
The village can be reached in 15 min on foot along the river.
The site is quiet and clean.
Barbecue. Freezer, electrical outlets, bike storage and wooden seats available.
It was perfect ! Thanks !

A beautiful camp site nestled in the hills of the brecon beacons with a river running alongside it.
You cant get much prettier than this!
And only a short drive or walk to the town of brecon.

Warm, friendly, helpful welcome. Beautiful nature, trees and river.
Left to our own devices with plenty of space and freedom to pitch without defined boundaries.
No cars near tents which made it feel more natural.
Every need provided for. SUPER fire baskets! Fresh flowers in the toilets. Happy chickens.
Short walk to great pubs.
Fellow campers all seemed to be our kind of people; down to earth, hippie, friendly; no range rovers.

This is in a pretty spot alongside a river.
And the walk into brecon is only 10 minutes.
If you are coming here on a motorcycle the you turn at the house has a cobbled yard which is lethal. Not a problem for cars though.
