Lovely camp site by the river. Plenty of space to choose own pitch depending on if you want to be by the river, full sun for most of the day or with some shade in the recent hot weather.
Not expensive compared to some of the sites I looked at. Facilities all very clean, campers encouraged to clean showers etc when finished.
If site had been any busier, there may have been a queue for the showers and washroom. Great to be able to charge phone and freeze ice packs.
Easy walk into town and lovely riverside walk.

Lovely campsite. Very peaceful. And a wonderful river side setting. Very clean facilities, with everything you need, showers, toilets, sinks, washing up area, drying area, bike area, freezer for ice packs, phone charging area and a recycling area, plenty of hand sanitiser placed in these areas.
Friendly owners always around if needing logs etc. Fire pits with grills supplied for campfires and cooking.
Great value for money, we camped in our tent £10 per person per night
Great location, few minutes walk into Brecon town which has everything you need for buying supplies, plus canal and river walks and a 10 minute drive to the Brecon Beacons for glorious mountain walking.
Adorable free range hens roaming around the site, loved these girls.
We will definitely be going back to camp at Priory Mill.

Wonderful location by the river, peaceful and idyllic. Quick walk into town through the river path, avoiding the road.
Simple but very clean and well kept facilities and some thoughtful touches.
Communication with the host was quick, easy and pleasant.
Would recommend, would go back.

After a long, hot and tiring journey from our north Oxfordshire home, dropping down the steep drive to arrive at "Reception" (a green stable door in the exquisite stone house where hostess Suzie was waiting to greet us) was akin to entering heaven.
Positives? So many; friendly and attentive owners, a beautiful location sensitively maintained, a cooling breeze off the River Honddu - a heron fishes for its breakfast there! - and well spaced tents. Spotlessly clean ablutions and surroundings. Plus a warning that the prowling gang of hens have developed the cunning skill of smash & grab on bar-b-cue sausages! And down the hill, unspoiled, uncrowded Georgian Brecon is waiting just a few minutes' stroll away.
Negatives? Our elderly VW camper's pitch at the far end of the site was very adjacent to a sometimes quite noisy road (although to be fair, the traffic did quieten down between 11pm and 6am). But (ah, a "but" in paradise?):
The standing areas around the toilet/shower block and in front of the dish-washing facility are formed from random riverbed stones which, with their rounded edges and deep interstices were a test for our rather weak, arthritic mid-seventies ankles and hips (see two photos on this website).
On a wet day I think these surfaces could pose a slipping threat. Both negatives lost one point in our ratings below, although younger campers would never notice our concerns - old age never comes alone!
But really, the owners have created the most wonderful and laid-back campsite; one to which we will certainly be returning.

A truly beautiful campsite which is right next to the Afon Honddu.
Me and my partner were impressed with the facilities (and the lovely chickens strolling and chasing after insects around the Campsite!)
Can't wait to visit again! Diolch yn fawr iawn!

Friendly little site by the river close to town amenities and buses.
I got used to passing cars and the road wasn’t busy.
I slept great after beautiful walks in the national park. I’d go back

What can I say…stunning weather, wonderful peaceful campsite and a very warm welcome from Susie on our arrival.
We had a very pleasant walk into Brecon for a Chinese meal, toasted marshmallows on the camp fire and had a wonderful night’s sleep.
The facilities are ideal and kept very clean.
We’ll definitely be returning.

Very quiet campsite in a beautiful location, and just ten minutes walk into Brecon.
Facilities are clean and sufficient.
Hens wander the site so beware you don’t leave your food unattended!

A nice warm welcome on arrival, a secluded campsite with river flowing at the bottom, just outside Brecon.
Clean facilities (toilet, showers and washing).
Would be happy to stay again
