Great little campsite right on the edge of brecon. Theres quite a lot of pitches, but they campsite is closed before it ever gets full, which is. Nice. The road next to the campsite can be a little noisy until 9-10ish, but the river the other side makes falling asleep very easy.

Good shower and washing up facilities, with chance to make campfires with wood you can buy and little tree trunks to sit on, if there are any left!

Brecon is literately 10 mins walk and the hills are 20 mins away by car.

All in all a very nice well run campsite, especially if you can pitch a tent at the very bottom away from the rest!

Very picturesque site by the River. The road nearby was noisier than we expected but this did quieten down as the evening wore on.

Brecon is great with nice cafes etc and just 10 mins walk (along the road) away. The tower cafe in the church was very pleasant and also had outdoor seating.

Building a campfire was lots of fun and there were plenty of firepits to borrow. Another nice touch was that freeze blocks were free to freeze or you could borrow some from the site if available. Especially good as the freezer seemed to take a long time to freeze the blocks (we may just have rubbish blocks though!)

Toilets and shower were always clean and well-maintained. It was tad off-putting to be able to hear (and smell) people using the toilets while we used the shower though!

Just got back from a fantastic four days camping at priory Mill farm, we all had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting again in the near future.

The site was perfect, with the washroom area kept clean and tidy, long showers available for only 50p. The only negative I could find, was there was no covered area for washing up should the weather be against you.

We camped right beside the river, which was very relaxing, only a short walk into town and at night heard the owl while we lay in our tent, very nice. Our 3 year daughter loved the chickens wandering around the campsite and was impressed with the tree swing

WOW! Is all we can say really, this is by far the very best site we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. It was lovely and peaceful, we pitched next to a little waterfall and the whole site had such a lovely feel to it. Not crowded or hemmed in, just 'peaceful'.

The owners, Susie and Noel are charming and so very helpful, they even dried our boots for us after we left them outside in the rain!

The toilets are spotless, the site is exceptionally well kept, the chickens are 'very well behaved'! and the dog is soooo cute!.

Showers are lovely and clean with hot water via a coin machine (don't put more than one coin in at a time though!).

Our 9 year son old had such a great time and now wants to live there!

All in all, the best site, we loved it so much, we cancelled another site for August and we're going back.

Don't change anything, it's FAB.

The location of this campsite was idyllic - we camped in a meadow next to a bubbling stream. It was lovely and quiet and was not over crowded on the bank holiday weekend.

Just a few gripes that would unfortunately lead us not to camp here again, but it is personal preference. The price was £7 per person per night

No hot water, lights or cover for washing up - not easy to get anything clean in the rain or dark - had to wash everything up again when we got home. There was no soap in the washbasins and no drying facilities.

It was also a little disconcerting having a shower in a cubicle inches from where other campers were doing their business! One of our tents had a visitor in the night which nibbled through the inner tent (into the sleeping area) to have a midnight snack on our food.

It is more like wild camping, but basic facilities we feel should be included in the price are hot water for washing up and soap in the toilets.

This is the best campsite we've ever visited. The owners (Noel and Susie) make you feel very welcome and keep the place ticking over without any intrusion.

The shower and toilet block are immaculate and the log fires are a great touch. Apart from cooking on them they give you the atmosphere of wild camping.

Although I didn't catch any fish, it was a joy to be fishing on such a beautiful river, so rich in wildlife, it didn't really matter that I blanked!

It was a super two weeks and we will be back again and again!

A wonderful site kept very clean by the friendly owners. No noise apart from the river after 22:30 which is fine by me. Toilet and shower block is spotless and the roaming chickens give a very 'rustic' touch to the site.

You are only a ten minute walk from Brecon town and all its facilities plus a couple of nice pubs selling good ale.

I'll be back there again this October and highly recommend this site.

We agree with most of the other reviewers, peaceful, level and lovely facilities for what they were. However, there could be difficulties if the site was busier as these were limited.

However, as the new tariff for 2010 has gone up 40% from £5 to £7, are we still expected to wash up in open air with no light and cold water in only two sinks?

For £5, this was reasonable value, but for £7?

Site was easy to find, case of pitch where you want. Site is alongside the river with newly planted trees throughout. It had been wet for sometime so campers were requested not to drive on the grass but to use the hardstanding parking area - had to carry all gear from there to your pitch but small inconvenience to keep field in good shape and it was nice just to have tents on the field and cut down on the amount of car doors being slammed early and late!

Toilet and shower block was spotless but a bit weird coming out of toilet cubicle then around to the end and in through another door to wash your hands! The metered showers were more than long enough for full shampoo, condition and and shower gel - and temperature was adjustable.

Full recycling available which 'most' people seemed to use. Firepits are an excellent idea as it protected the ground. I was camping solo but I still had a bag of logs for two nights - got to have toasted marshmallows and baked bananas at camp! The smell of woodsmoke at camp - you cant beat it.

As the site is a good base for all things outdoors it would be a good idea to display a 5 day weather forecast on the notice board at the toilet block to give you an idea how to plan your time.

This is a quiet friendly site to camp, good recycling ethos, with no children's area and next to a river it was a very peaceful weekend. I would highly recommend this site and I would use it again.

Just a wonderfully relaxed and beautifully kept site. Us 6 stayed, 2 adults 4 kids 6-10 years old - and they loved it and want to know when we are going back. Despite the rusty Welsh weather (and that really is the only criticism) we enjoyed the delightful river, the real fires, the 10 minute stroll into town and the impeccably kept shower and toilet block. Susie and Noel make you feel very welcome, they keep a great site, just perfect - we will be back year on year!
