A beautiful location with clean amenities.
The host was welcoming and good at communicating.
The campers were kind and friendly. Wild swimming in the river was fun.
I will return for sure
A little noisy late evening with cars passing on the road

Lovely setting and Susie was polite and friendly. The facilities were very clean and tidy and organised well.
Prices here are excellent and I noticed that the wood provided for campfires burns long and slow compared to other sites I’ve stayed at. All round great place to stay.
There is an A road next to the site but it’s not very busy and it didn’t wake us at any point during the night.

Beautiful place, situated by a river and surrounded by a variety of trees including oak, chestnut and hazelnut. It's a quiet campsite perfect for couples and solo travellers.
Everyone there including the owners are so friendly and welcoming- there's always someone to strike up a conversation with.
Facilities include toilets, showers and a charging station for phones, fitness trackers etc.
For a small fee, the campsite also provides logs for your very own campfire. We would sit out all evening naming constellations and bat watching.
In the morning we would be greeted by the resident hens who patrol the estate.
Brilliant place!

Very clean and well put together campsite,
Only a short walk from Brecon which is ideal, and it's very comfortable and quiet.
Ideal campsite overall, have been twice now and would highly recommend.

Loved pretty much everything about this site. I think it looks even lovelier than the pictures on the website suggest.
My teenage son, who was not with us, asked if it was just the usual big empty field. We've persuaded him to come next time as I could tell him it's far from that -
The pitching area dominated by a wide, shallow river and steep forested slopes behind. Great walks from here. As others have said, the toilets and showers were spotless.
I've never fully relaxed in a campsite shower before but I did here. Felt so comfortable knowing it would never get noisy and I slept very well.
Can't wait to return

Delightful and peaceful oasis only a few minutes out of Brecon. Beautifully kept grounds and facilities, its all well tucked away but there is everything you can think of that you might need including a well stocked book exchange shelf!
The feel of wild camping right on the river yet with all the amenities, and lovely owners.
I was there through the Brecon Jazz festival when the site was full and yet it never felt at all busy.
Wonderful break to soak up the beauty of the site and the local area, and the peacefulness of a quiet site with strong environmental values.
Loved it and can't wait to come back.

Our first stay here in nearly 7 years.
Susie and Noel have created a site which ticks all the boxes for us. Low level but perfectly adequate facilities, (no hairdryers ladies), an idyllic setting with the river Honddu running along the bottom of the site. (Actually just trickling as we were in a period of drought)! It's just a 15 minute walk into Brecon. Children and dogs are not allowed, nor are groups or DofE. As a result of the no dogs rule half a dozen chickens roam around the site freely and produce lovely free range eggs.
This is a wonderful peaceful true campsite, tents only with space for a few VW campervans. No bar or club, no caravans or motorhomes, so no electric hook ups. There is a freezer for icepacks and 4 sockets for phone charging.
Blissfully peaceful!
The site lies in a tree lined valley so the sun rises late and sets early. (Perfect for us as we were there for the August heatwave). You can get a little traffic noise from the Hay road but you get used to it and at night it stops pretty much.
The public footpath over the river from the site is popular with dog walkers and you do get some barking from their duelling dogs.
Even when fully booked (just 20 pitches), the site was never busy.
Well done to Susie and Noel

Loved my time here. Parked up by the river, I could relax (&sleep) listening to the babbling of the water over the rocks. I loved the limitations to camping here - no dogs, adults only and no music. Nothing worse than being forced to listen to someone else's music choice against your will.
I spent time on-site, seated in the sheltered area near the washing up area, but also spent time exploring the town whilst waiting for the laptop to charge up and needed a break.
A 10 minute walk into the centre of Brecon allows you to collect some necessary groceries or a takeaway if that's more your style.
A lovely wooded area opposite campsite provides a perfect getaway from the campsite to stretch those legs when you need to and enjoy the natural beauty. If you want a bigger hike with commanding views, it's only a 16 min drive away to park up at the side of the Brecon Beacons.
Although the road runs past the campsite, I found there wasn't that much traffic that I couldn't get a good sleep. If camping in a tent or van isn't your style, there is also a two person cabin that looked perfect for a bit of glamping.
Felt so relaxed by the time I had to leave that I am looking forward to returning here again very soon.
