Just got back from a lovely holiday here and we will definitely be returning next year, the views were stunning and luckily the weather was kind enough to us so we could really make the most of them, it was also nice to see the animals in the fields and the free roaming chickens in the morning.
The facilities were all great and really clean too the ladies toilet block had 4 shower rooms which had lovely hot water and the outside shower was really useful to clean our wellies after we got a bit muddy playing on the nearby beach with the kids! Our little ones loved stroking the animals in the pets corner where there was rabbits, cows, pigs, goats etc. There was also a cafe on site which although we didn't use looked really clean and good quality.
The surrounding area again cant be faulted there are lots of local shops, supermarkets, pubs and takeaways not to mention happy mount park which our boys (and us) throughly enjoyed, we are all looking forward to visiting again soon and for a bit longer this time.

We have just returned from 4 days here. Have to say I was very impressed with the facilities. The two camping fields were a good size without being too big.
The showers/toilets were cleaned however due to a few families that couldn't clear up after themselves, they did get spoilt this weekend.
Archers restaurant on site is very lovely.
The location was perfect, only 30-40 min drive to Lake Windermere. We visited a few local villages which were just lovely, only ever saw the locals. Silverdale and Arnside both have lovely pubs to eat in and great to watch the sunset at both.
Carnforth has excellent shops, Booths and Tesco all within 10 min drive from site. The site in based in Bolton le sands which has a couple of nice pubs and takeaways. Very pleasant to walk from site up the coast to all of these places.
All in all a great place to visit especially if you have a dog, everywhere welcomes them! Any staff we met at the site were helpful and always had a smile.

First time at Red Bank will definitely not be the last. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by happy, friendly, well informed staff members who booked my group in and had us directed to the fields where we could put our tents.
Prices are very fair, toilet/shower blocks are spotless and the fact there is a laundry facility on site makes it perfect for families who want to stay a while (even a plug socket with a 50p charge for 30 minutes is a bargain.
If your visiting when there is strong winds from the sea then it is suggestible that you use the fields away from the beach as the large hedges provide great protection. There is only one downside which is that there is only 1 water stand point but that's a minor issue.
Whilst we were their we were constantly greeted by the chickens that roam freely around the place, and the animal farm is a fun place to visit. The site itself was secure and safe to use.
Location wise, it is not to far from town centres and chip shops. Tesco is only about 2 miles away and shops/garages are abundant. The beach and its rock pools are great and clean.

Just returned home from a lovely two night stay at Red Bank Farm with my fiancee. We stayed here three years ago and not a lot has changed, although that isn't a bad thing!
The views from the campsite are stunning, particularly on a sunny evening. It is extremely relaxing gazing across the bay watching the sunset. The beauty of the location is that you can take a short walk along the shore in the morning or evening, whatever the rest of the days plans. However, as mentioned in previous comments the beach is not of the sandy type and if you intend to do a longer walk then you should be prepared for shoes and clothes to become very muddy even if you're careful.
The campsite is situated about five minutes drive from Bolton-Le-Sands which has an excellent fish and chip shop as well as three pubs.
The value for money of the site is very good and they don't seem to take advantage like many other sites by charging extra for dogs/camping in peak season. The staff seemed friendly and the shower block/washing up area are of a high standard. Effort is made with the smaller things for example providing bricks for bbq's and an outdoor shower for muddy children.
The other two selling points are the cafe which provided us with a lovely breakfast and the petting zoo with a group of friendly animals including piglets, lambs, calves and rabbits.
I really can't fault this site, the train line didn't bother us and I actually found it quite relaxing watching them chug past.
I suppose the sea breeze could present a problem at certain times of the year but a well pegged down tent should have no problems. Also the amenities are a bit of a trek if you pitch at the top of the field, but that's purely choice.

Just got back from Red Bank Farm and we had a lovely time. I grew up in the area, so know it well and knew there was a train line near by but this didn't bother either myself, my husband or my 5 year old and we slept soundly.
We pitched in the lower field at the bottom and the ground was lovely and flat. Though I suspect in busier times you might get a slightly sloping pitch. There was plenty of room for the children to play when we were there, not sure how busy it would get in the summer though with other tents being pitched in the middle of the field.
The toilet block was new and cleaned regularly. There were no electric points in the ladies block and the hair dryer was broken, so if you wanted to dry you hair you would have to use hand dryers. Although I believe there were some electric sockets in the Laundry and all you needed was a key code from the owners to get in there.
As for the location, well it is beautiful, near the salt marshes and straight onto the beach. Just be aware that the beach is not the soft sandy type it is quite muddy and I loved playing there as a kid and getting very dirty, as did my 5 year old. So there is an outdoor shower to wash off all the muddy sand before you go into the main shower block.
We had some icecream and cakes from the cafe which were delicious. Not sure if other reviewers have mentioned but if you do set off on a coastal walk check the tides, since it comes in quite quickly and you can easily get cut off, and there is also quick sand so make sure you don't venture out too far into the bay.
All in all a lovely little campsite, that was quiet past 10pm at night, in a good location for day trips out to the lakes. I will be going back at only £15 per night for the 3 of us it was great value for money.

We have stayed here in both a motor-home and a tent. The location is beautiful with very close proximity to the beach. Our pitch also had cows looking over the fence at us 10 yards away. There is a petting zoo on site and also a well established bistro. The fields are large so you don't find yourself right next to your fellow campers.
The facilities were clean and the owners helpful. I am planning to go back.

Stayed for 2 nights in may we had the nice weather. Its a great site. Friendly owners. Nice fellow campers. Lovely clean toilets showers. Went into morecombe for the day then on to devils bridge.
Didn't make carnforth to see the famous railway station but am going to go in julyn etc. We stayed on the top field and the views overlooking morecombe bay are stunning especially when it starts to go dark.
I went with my mate and this time because I loved the site and the views I'm going with the Mrs next month for 3 days. Cant wait

Just returned from a fantastic three night stay at Red Bank Farm. The site is just a couple of minutes drive from the A6 but quite secluded and right on the shore of Morecambe Bay. Once you're there, it's an easy drive to lots of local places, but there's also regular buses from the village to Lancaster, Carnforth, Morecambe and even up into the Lakes.
We pitched our tent towards the bottom of the field and had no problems with drainage or wind and found the grass easy to pitch on. The new toilet block was more than big enough for when we were there (although it was quiet) and the showers had lots of hot water. However, they were sometimes a little grubby and there is no space to put clothes in the men's showers. The cafe on the campsite is a real bonus and regularly used by the locals as well as people on the site.
It's a 20 minute stroll to the village where you can find a couple of shops and pubs, a post office and a chippy.
All the staff we had contact with were very helpful and friendly.
All in all, a fantastic site in a beautiful location, and its not a question of if we go back, but when.

Had a lovely stay here last weekend. I'm fond of the site as my grandparents had a static on here when I was little but I'd not been for about 15 years and I honestly think we'd return even if it wasn't for that reason.
The location is beautiful and can get straight onto the sands which both our toddler and Labrador loved (tho don't go too far out as the bay has areas of quicksands).
The camping fields are rather sloping but not so drastically that it affected us at all.
As others have mentioned the trainline is close but I didn't have problems sleeping because of the trains, despite the regularity and our toddler loved spotting them too! And it still felt pretty idyllic waking up on the coast with chicken from the farm just wandering round outside the tent.
The owners were friendly and the farmer even invited us and our son into the milking shed to watch the cows being milked which was brilliant, there's also a small petting farm/corner and even though we were there at the end of the season (so no baby animals) that was still great.
Facilities wise it was good too - 4 x washing up sinks with plenty of hot water and the new loo/shower block was good and clean (much much much improved from the showers I remember there as a child - there used to be a watering can attachment as a shower head and a mangle was in the old laundry!). The site was v quiet when we were there though so maybe you'd have to queue for washing up sinks or showers in high season with there only being 4 of each but then again its not a massive site so might be fine.
Didn't use the on site cafe but looked nice when I popped in there to book in.
The price wad great too £12 per night for us (2adults 1 toddler and a dog) so def good value for money, its not super plush but it had all we needed and the location is lovely.

Its a nice place but very secluded from the main road. Its ok if you like walking far. Ideal for train spotters, they go past every 2 - 3 minutes all day and same at night. Never seen so many trains in my life.
Nice views, the coastal views arent so nice though as it isnt a sandy beach. Which we knew before we went.
If your looking for somewhere in the middle of nowhere then this is the place to be.
Could do with more electric hookups for people like us who wanted electric, they could also do with some electric sockets in the changing rooms so us females can do our hair.
