I can understand why this site has so many reviews as after our last tour of 11 different sites, this was not only the best, but also the cheapest!
We could not believe we only paid £13.50 for two adults, two dogs and electricity as everything was so luxurious. I would employ the designer of the shower unit for my own home as so classy and spacious. The views we had were beautiful, watching the sea whizz in and out across a field of friendly Fresian cows to one side and hills with a train track to the other.
Archers Cafe is fantastic, again amazing interior design which puts the icing on the cake for the glorious food served there. Do make sure you eat one of their breakfast baps, local produce and the best bacon and egg I have eaten since I was a child about 55 years ago! They also sell wonderful salt marsh lamb, so the previous night I bought 2 'lamb henries' and cooked them in our oven and again, a real taste from childhood and about half the price I would pay in London.
The petting farm animals for the children were also greatly appreciated by this pensioner, and to top it all delightful campers on the site. A wonderful place that attracts wonderful people!

Just got back from red bank farm, stayed fri-sun.weather was horrendous bad winds all through each night did not get any sleep.
The site is on a hill near the sea so no getting away from it.
The site facilities good toilets and showers v good animals for the kids to look at. Archers cafe on site nice bit pricey you can buy half an organic lamb for £60 or full for £120. They also sell lamb burgers for £1.10. Out from the site on main road turn left on that road is an indian, chinese and a pub where you can buy food.

This site has to be one of the best I have been to. It's extremely clean for a working farm, well signposted and in an ideal spot right near the sea with lovely walks and plenty to do for everyone at £5pppn you can't grumble.
The owners are friendly and the onsite cafe with home made baking is a real luxury. Showers are hot and free but you have to keep pressing them every few seconds to keep the flow - it was fun! children are welcome and dogs kept on a lead. Both fields are sloping but there are a few flat spaces and be warned it can windy at night. If you check in after 4pm you may struggle to find someone onsite to take your money but the atmosphere is so relaxed that you can pay the next day. The site is well kept and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves
We stayed (a group of 7 of us) from Thurs to Sun and it got busy on Friday night and Satuday morning so be sure to book to save yourself a place. I hope to go back one day. Well impressed. Enjoy people!

Red Bank Farm was the host to our first ever camping trip (well, hers anyway - I used to 'rough' it in the scouts) and I think we spoilt ourselves.
Such a lovely well kept site, toilets and shower block was always very clean and great standard. I think 'facilities' were the make or break with camping for the other half and she was certainly more than happy - so much so she has turned into a camping addict now!
It is situated right near the beach, although didn't go for some of the more adventurous walks like others it was great to chill out and watch the tide come in in the evenings.
Met some friendly people there, most of which seem to be regulars to the site. It is on a slight slope, but nothing that adjusting the direction of the air bed didn't help solve.
Tried the ice cream from the cafe on site which was wonderful, menu looked very good and heard good things about the food.
Looking forward to our next visit, hopefully it the not too distant future! Next time we will pickup some of the lamb burgers people have mentioned!

This is a lovely campsite - very busy during half-term week and rather windy when we went. Not a lot of shelter with it being on the coast. However, the campsite itself is lovely - freerange eggs from the hens that wander about the camping field, we ate in the cafe once and food very good but it shuts early (about 4 or 4.30pm), lovely icecreams and delicious lamb burgers from the farm's own saltmarsh lamb (if none in fridge then ask as they have frozen ones in the back). Toilets new and very clean considering number of people using them. Kids loved the pets corner and watching the cows being milked.

Our first trip away camping and I think we've now set the bar very high in choosing Red Bank Farm. OK, so I've nothing to compare it with but I though it was excellent and others on the site seemed to agree.
Left to our own devices to find a spot after paying £17.50 per night for 2 adults and 3 kids and chose the upper field. Bit of a slope but OK. Location and views superb. Cafe really excellent, selling home grown produce well cooked and as everyone else has said, superb local ice-cream.
Facilities modern and clean.
Would have no hesitation in recommending this site and we will return later in the Summer

We haven't been to Red Bank Farm since July 07 and had been itching to get back ever since. Since then they have built a much needed cafe called Archers, after the owners surname, to the entrance of the site on the beach front which opens everyday except mondays but unfortunately closes at 4.00pm. I think in time and maybe in the summer months that a later opening time may be advantageous. They also have a brand spanking new toilet block which is stunning and makes an already excellent site into a superb site. As ever the owners are very friendly and relaxed allowing children to watch the milking of the cows and to visit the petting zoo. There are two main fields and by arriving mid-week after the Bank Holiday we had a good choice of pitches in the second field. We always choose the second field for the stunning views over the bay and the pitches are reasonably flat as both fields are on a slope. Be aware that even on the nicest days there can be some ferocious winds overnight. There are only 4 EHU's available in the second field and require booking, all other pitches you can just turn up. As the weekend neared and the temperatures rose the tents flooded in. Normally no camping is allowed in the centre of the fields to allow the children to play freely but an exception was made for a handful of tents which still allowed plenty of space for football, badminton, frisbee etc. The kids loved running on the beach (mud flats) and playing in the rock pools but always remember to be constantly aware of the tides.
Lovely walks left to Hest Bank and Morecambe through the cows field and right to Bolton Le Sands and Carnforth where a reasonable walk takes you to the village past the Bay View garden centre and brings you out by a family pub. Carnforth has a Tesco that provides you with all the things you will ever need or you can simply sample the farmers salt fed minted lamb burgers or free range eggs. We will be returning end of June and the kids can't wait definitely one of our favourites.

Don't know what I could say that isn't already in other reviews. Just that it's well worth a visit. Stayed during the Bank Holiday. A relaxed, warm and friendly site. Pretty much left to choose our own pitch, they are not numbered and there are no restrictions on size of tent. Site in 2 fields - Higher and Lower. Pitched in the larger lower field which sloped gently. Even though it had rained a day or so prior to visit ground was surprisingly firm. Site on a working farm with chickens roaming freely and a small animal farm. A nice cafe, however, I did not eat there but seemed quite popular. Did try the ice-cream - which was lovely. The shower / loo facilities are excellent (plentiful and free) and always clean and complete with loo paper! The hairdryer takes 20p coins and there is an outside shower for dirty wellies etc. Plenty of space for the kids to play and make their own fun. It was so relaxing that we didn't venture out to any shops/pubs etc but this was our first camping trip so wasn't on our agenda. Had a nice walk around surrounding area though. There are only 2 washing-up sinks, however, that said, we never had to wait, even though there were plenty of families staying. All in all, we had a great time, the kids loved it, the weather was on our side and at £15 p/n (2 adults/2 kids) would definitely go back. Go on. Give it a try.

Very good site for families looking for a relaxing weekend. Informal and easygoing atmosphere, with ball games and campfires allowed, everyone played respectfully and it just added to the friendly ambience. Lovely cafe onsite, and excellent toilet/shower blocks. Many of the pitches do slope and it's worth trying to find a sheltered spot as the wind can be quite strong at night. As we normally camp in the Lakes we thought £25 for 2 x adults, 1 x child and 1 x dog for 2 nights was good value.

Camped here over late May bank holiday. As said before brilliant price with no extra for a large tent. Masses of space - really good shower and loo facilities wonderful and clean.
Even though a few minutes from Morecambe a real country campsite. Good local walking - walked along foot path to Hest Bank with daughter but needed a car to reach local shops, 20 mins walk to local pub. No playground but space for ball games. Good mini animal area - 15 year old loved it!
Location fabulous for Lakes, Lancaster etc.
Cafe has excellent cake, filter coffee and reasonably priced ice cream. Chickens roaming lower field - fascinating to watch.
Looking forward to visiting again!
