There is two fields a lower and a higher one, as we drove in we picked the higher field to the right as the lower field entrance was really muddy and I didn’t want to risk getting my little car and trailer stuck, as I got halfway up the higher field my car started wheel spinning but I managed to manoeuvre it to a space for pitching but it had been raining most of the day and I’m sure the owner would of hooked his quad bike up to the car and towed it to a pitch.
It was a bank holiday so there was a few tents pitched on their so people are turning up and trying to squeeze theie tents in tight areas. We had a couple pitch there tent a meter from ours which I didn’t mind but I felt sorry for them when our 10 month and two year old girls where crying at 7am and there bedroom was a meter away from there tent.
The toilet & shower blocks are excellent condition, clean, tidy & warm.
Plenty of bins to get rid of your rubbish and a water tap at the bottom of the field.
The onsite Cafe is really nice & outside seating to enjoy your food on nice days. You can purchase fresh eggs and milk from here, and the ice-cream is lovely.
There's a little animal farm for the kids to look around (watch out for the big pigs and their ugly teeth). There is hand washing facilities on the way out of the petting farm just in case the kids pet the animals.
There is also a paper van that comes around every morning about 9.30 if you want to purchase your daily rag.
Excellent views from the site, just a fifteen min drive will take you to Morecambe which has a good indoor / outdoor market on a Sunday and plenty of other shops for supplies. Also a 5 min drive to a town called Carnforth where there is a Tesco.
All in all this is a good site, great facilities and also cheap (£5.00 per adult, per night, no charge for kiddies) Would be nice to have a little park for the smaller kids, but there is plenty of room for them to run around and play.

This was our first time camping, and we wanted to try our new tent out. We paid £15 for one night for 2 adults, 2 toddlers and a dog, which seemed reasonable to us. The toilet / shower facilities were spotless and warm, if a tiny bit far from the field. Only because it poured all night!
Our cooker didn't work so we sampled the local chippy. It was a couple of miles away so we went in the car. It was v expensive but nice. There is a little cafe on site but it wasn't open while we were there so can't comment on that.
The surrounding area is gorgeous and the site is right on the beach, we could see the sea from our tent.
It is a farm so there are animals. Our kids loved seeing the chickens roaming and the sheep and cows.
Because of the rain we didn't do half the things we wanted to so will definitely, definitely go back to Red Bank Farm.

Just got back from a great weekend camping at Red Bank Farm!
I visited this site 3 years ago and the change has been amazing. The facilities are absolutely spot on and the pitches are great. We used one of the 4 electric hook-up pitches and had a view in one direction of the huge beach and miles of fields in the other direction. Sure, it is on a hill but not enough to be too problematic and, as other reviews have mentioned, it is such great value for money that it is a small price to pay.
The family had a great time visiting the animals and my daughter thought chickens wandering through our camp was fantastic! We will definitely go back here again.
The farmer and all the staff were fab too, by the way!

Fantastic site. Its become our fave place to stay! They just updated their loos n shower to 5 star hotel standard; they are warm, clean and posh lol, oh and free too.
They have two camping fields, one right on the beach almost; you can see the beach clearly and watch all the power kites and RC planes etc. Beach is so peaceful and it’s not filled with people either.
Camp site has a little animal farm for the kids complete with hand washing facilities and dog parking.
There is a cafe/restaurant on site that opens about 9.30 till 4pm so you can be lazy and not cook. The food is great! You can even purchase very fresh eggs and milk here too.
If you are lucky you might get to go watch the cows get milked. There are free range hens running about which is rather nice to see.
All in all it’s a bargain at just a fiver per tent per night. Couldn't ask for more really. Oh and there is loads and loads of space for kids to just run about and play too. Doggies are also welcome.
I'd give it ten out of ten. People are all friendly as well. Wish more camp sites were this good!

Our first time at Red Bank and will certainly be back, we were early in the season and pitched on the top field for two nights with five or six other tents, gently sloping field but no trouble for pegs. £10 a night for myself and two 6 year olds.
There's a supermarket within ten minutes drive, a beach you can walk to in five and a brand new shower block for 2009 with four showers and plenty of sinks and loos in my side.
The cafe looked busy throughout our stay, though we didn't use it this time.
I'll be back there soon.

Nice place, clean and very well looked after with man going round checking everything ok. Right on shore and it rained, badly. First night was great kids had lovely time, next morning it never stopped and wind was terrible. Unfortunately our tent split in the rain so we had to pack up and go home. The owners were really understanding and gave us a refund and couldn't have done more to help in our unfortunate situation. I believe there is an animal area, which we didn't get to see, we didn't even make it onto beach! We will go back, but this is a very basic site with basic amenities, but is in nice area and is nice and clean so would have another go. Cheap too at only £7.00 for tent 2 adults and 3 kids, per night!

Just got back today from Red Bank Farm,It was £11 a day with electric but I think they only have 4 points so book well in advance if electric is needed, the fields are gently sloping & it can get very windy .The ladies have 8 toilets & 2 showers & I believe the mens toilets have plenty as well. The village is about 1 mile away with a Spar etc it's a lovely place with a canal. The sands were quite busy with someone windsurfing & kite flying ,the tide comes in & out quite quick some days but be careful of any quick sand in places.Had a good time just chilling ,kids all grown up so on our own .Look forward to going back next year .

Fantastic site. Is very basic but has everything you need and is kept well. Thes have a few animals which they were happy for the children to go and have a look.
Very large area get there early to get the pitch you want as parts can be lumpy.
The owners are very friendly and prices are great.
Definitely go there again

The overall theme of the other reviews is correct, but the facilities were very run down, although kept clean.
We camped in the bottom field leaving enough space between other tents, maybe too much as when we came back tents had squashed in, letting us hear every movement at night.
If you have a dog, a very good place for you. But be prepared to be packed to the hilt.

Just back from a week at this site. We pitched in the lower field close to the hedge at the top of the slope. This was, as it turned out, a good idea because the prevailing wind, when we were there was from the bay which was behind us and it did get very windy. There was plenty of space in the middle of the field for the kids to run round and let off steam.
The facilities were basic but kept clean. 2 showers and plenty of cubicles and sinks in the ladies, 2 washing up points, always plenty of hot water too.
The viws from the site are fantastic right up towards the Lake District you can see lots of hills (though you can't see the camp site from the opposite direction!).
We found it a very quiet site, there's no traffic noise at night, just wildlife and farm animals close by. The main west coast train line runs across the valley though and the trains run all night and they aren't quiet, especially the freight trains - but we were fine after the first night.
The on-site cafe sells good food (and local salt marsh lamb, bacon etc) as well as things like windbreaks and toys. It doesn't open until 9:30 though so their fantastic breakfast buns (baps if you come from the south) make it a very late breakfast. The chocolate cake and the lemon drizzle cake come highly recommended. The fish and chip shop in Hest Bank serves both fish and chips (very good) and chinese food (not tried).
Locally there's plenty to do, Morecombe has a nice sandy beach and lots of seaside activities, also a cinema, bowling alley and other places for a wet afternoon. The Lakes are within easy reach of course. Lancaster is within 15 minutes drive and there's plenty to do and see there - a visit to the butterfly house is a great wet afternoon thing but worth it even when it's sunny. The beach is easily accessible from the site but there are warnings about safety so we didn't venture too far.
We had a great time, despite the awful weather and we will certainly be going back as soon as we can manage it.
