We stayed at Red Bank Farm on our 1st visit in the half term hols Our group was 15 kids and 5 adults and we had a ball! The site was lovely and clean, the views were fantastic, the owners were very helpful and nice. The kids loved the little petting farm. We were 5 mins from the beach and 5 mins from the supermarket. The kids did not want to go home so promising our return we booked another 5 days for summer hols. We liked the little van selling papers etc coming on site each day and the ice cream man was a hit too! Cant wait to come back !

5 night stay. Facilities always clean - though the showers take ages to warm up & aren't very powerful (a warm dribble!). Pets corner great for kids & masses of space on camping fields for them to run round. Great views. Disappointed at lack of obvious recycling opportunities. Hens joined us for breakfast & cows for evening snack. Beach isn't sandy but has millions of shells to collect. 30 mins to Lakes & less to Levens Hall. We chose a very wet weekend which the ground stood up to fairly well. If it's been wet, don't wear Crocs (with holes in front ends) - you'll end up with very muddy toes! A great base, which I'm sure you wouldn't want to leave if weather were good.

We went to this site to meet up with a group of friends, the entrance to the site is not ideal for caravans as the farm buildings are very close to the road making it very narrow, there is only one water point for the whole site which takes forever to fill an aqua roll. The views from the site are stunning over looking the hills in one direction and the beach if you are lucky enough to be in the main field, which unfortunately we were not so the caravan had to be put on blocks to level it as the field was very sloping We had a lovely time with our friends but I would say this site is ideal if you want basic camping but after the hair raising experience on trying to manoeuvre the caravan out on exit im afraid its not a site we will be returning to.

Stayed here for our first camping trip, and loved it, very pretty little farm, long drive takes you away from the world, but tescos is still just round the corner! Lovely fields 2-300 yards away from the beach, which has LOADS of rock pools, and strangely, grazing sheep. Theres a little pet area for kids, with hand washing facilities, and we were invited to watch the cows being milked. The showers were great, loads of room, very clean, 2 washing up sinks, the site was very busy, but the facilities were never crowded, people just took turns. The site owner was very friendly, very smiley and approachable, saw rabbits, sheep and chickens. The blooming chickens! we were quite late arriving, and decided to pitch away from the masses of family tents next to a shed. In the morning we discovered the shed was actually where the free range chickens took to their beds. During the day they took to our tent, and frying pan, chairs. It was really funny, but my advice is not to pitch near the "shed" if youre staying for more than two nights! we cant wait to go back, and have recommended it to anyone we meet that mentions they have a tent! (it was very cheap too)

Just back from a great weekend at this site. It's a lovely working farm - with a little childrens corner, with rabbits, piglets, new born calves and the cutest little goats while we were there! The site has got fabulous views and is 3/4 minute walk to the beach. It is on a slight slope but if you're at the top of the top field it's not too bad. BEWARE of the entrance if you are in a caravan. It has the tightest corners I have ever seen, 3 of them one after the other. I had to reverse and try again on the way in but made it in one on the way out - it is very very tight though so take care. Despite that, it is well worth a visit, we'll definitely be back!

Just come back from a fantastic weekend at this farm. This place is brilliant for young and old alike. The sites are slightly sloping but if you can get near the top fence the views are fantastic over Morecambe Bay. The facilities although old and basic are clean and there is plenty of hot water, although don't expect a power shower! One for the girls is to take plenty of 20 pence pieces for the hairdryer as there are no plugs in the shower block. This is a working farm and it was great to be able to see the cows being milked, with a run down from the owner of the process. There are plenty of animals for the children to pet and play with. You can buy organic eggs, lamb and minted lamb burgers here and the owner informed us that for next year he should have a cafe on site too. There is a great Chinese take away, the Sea View, about 5 minutes up the road and the food was great. A Morrisons supermarket in Morecambe if supplies run low. All in all a great little site. Would highly recommend it.

We stayed at this camp site for 2 night weekend break at the end of June and it was worth braving the rain. The camp site is between Bolton Le Sands and Hest Bank and it is as close to the beach as you could want. We arrived on Friday evening and no sooner had we booked in (£17 for 2 nights - 2 adults, 1 child, tent and car) than our 5 year old was off feeding the lambs in the petting farm with the farmer. That made her day! There are two fields in which to camp - we chose the top field and had superb views of the sunset over the bay. We didn't need hook up but I think there are about four points in that field. Neither field got muddy even with the rain. The site in general was quiet probably because of the bad weather so the 2 kids in our party had plenty of space in which to play when dodging the showers. The toilets were adequate if a little basic. Always clean, free showers (2 each sex), plenty of hot water, hand soap and paper towels. Washing up sinks were inside and perfectly fine. This is a basic site on a working farm taking tourers, statics and mainly tents in an excellent position and one that I would go back to at any time.

Lovely site on a slight slope though. Owners were very helpful. Showers and toilets were good. Lots of space for kids to run around in even though we were there for the Bank holiday weekend. Kids loved walking around the pets corner had a great time we will be going back again. A 10 minute drive in to Morecambe and it is a lovely little beach with lots of things to do.

I'm not a review junkie but felt that I had to write about this site! Fabulous setting, friendly owners and a great price. We have just spent a wonderful sunny weekend here. Don't miss the cows being milked at 4:15pm ( also at 6am if you're feeling keen!). They also let the kids bottle feed any lambs in the pet corner just after milking. Bring your bike and cycle along the canal to Carnforth or Lancaster with plenty of welcoming hostelries en route. Don't bother bringing meat for your barbie - buy the farm reared organic lamb chops and burgers! Can't wait to go back!

Red Bank Farm is a fantastic site especially if you have kids. The owners are very friendly and as this is a working farm they are very tolerant of children. The whole site is set up with children in mind with signs every were telling you to slow down children about. We visited for a weekend and will be back there very soon. The toilets are traditional camp site facilities but are scrubbed clean every morning at half 5 by the father and son who run the farm and then again at mid day and at night. I cant say enough good about this site. We witnessed a new born calf that was born at 4am that morning then we went into the the milking shed to watch the cows being milked. The farmer then took the children down to pets corner to bottle feed the lambs which they enjoyed so much. The farm also sells lamb that has been reared on the farm and the quality is exceptional as the whole farm is an organic farm and this shows in the quality of their produce.
If your looking for a beautiful site with lots going on then this is a must and I would recommend any one to try the site. The camping facilities are two very well maintained fields some electric hook ups and gorgeous views out over Morecambe Bay. The local newsagent visits the site each morning selling papers to the campers and a local ice cream van visits in the afternoon.
