July 2004 would recommend this site, all above comments semed true to us ( prices are £3 adult and £1 child p.n., although he knocked a few quid off for us as the weather had been so awful which could hardly be said to be his fault!). Just had a wonderful stay including wild wind, torrential rain and beautiful sunshine! If you have kids I would definately recommend a full day spent at Happy mount park ( drive a couple of miles south down main road just on the outskirts of morecambe); fantastic, huge free paddling pool ( for kids up to 50 I would say), lovely park, some attractions free and some have a charge ( trampolies, tennis equipment etc) and good indoor and outdoor play areas.

May 2004 BACK TO BASICS: This site is all that you could ask for in basic camping. Toilets are somewhat dated but clean showers - 2 for each gender is a bit inadequate as was the hot water supply, but hey chill it's a very reasonably priced site that caters for families (and dogs).
As a working farm it has lots to offer Kids (my Grandchildren) loved seeing the petting animals and were allowed to watch the cows being milked, Hey Education included!
All in all a good weekend and I would go back again for a short break.

August 2002 This site is what I would term a 'proper' camp site - the kind I remember as a child. The tent/tourer field is exactly that, a field with pitches around the perimeter leaving a large central area ideal for the kids to kick a ball, throw a frisbie or fly a kite in short: PLAY) without being in the way of anyone else. The pets corner was a big hit. The views over the bay are great (stunning at sunset). The toilet/shower blocks are adequate, if a little 'used', but the hot water was always hot (not something that some bigger, more expensive sites can always brag about) There is no shop on site - but the village less than 5 minutes in the car. The farmer kindly took in our ice packs & put them in their own freezer (thanks). Overall, this is a cracking (totally uncomercialised) family site, handy for Morecambe, Lancaster & the south Lakes' and we will definatley be back.

Easter 2003 Went here for two nights over Easter as it was the first place I rang which had any space. (Trying out a new tent we'd only bought the week before)
It is a nice little site on a working farm. I imagine that getting a trailer of any size through the farm yard and onto the field could be tricky as there are a couple of tight bends, but there were folding campers & caravans on the site so it must be possible.
The tent field slopes but is flatter at the top. It could be exposed if an onshore wind got up.
The beach is OK for a walk but more mud than sand. It is, however literally outside the farm gates and therfore handy.
Bolton-le-Sands is close and has the usual facilities (pubs, chippies, Safeway) and a decent Indian restaurant is within a mile. There are plenty of attractions within driving distance
The site was quiet even on the Easter weekend and is ideal for the kids to run around the field or to see the farm animals. It is also fairly cheap
Toilet facilities are clean if a bit old but perfectly OK.
We had a great weekend, and might consider using the site again if we wanted to got to that area.

July 2002 Small, well maintained grass field within working farm, situated right on the sea shore of Morecambe Bay.
There are three fields- one has a small number of statics, one for tourers and one for tents. The tent field is fairly large (and slightly sloping at the bottom) but if you can get at the top, the views over Morecambe Bay are great.
The toilets are fairly old and basic but clean and there are two showers in the Mens' block. There are separate wahsing up facilities. Good base for touring Morecambe Bay/North Lancashire etc.
A good little site that charges £2.50 per adult per night and £1.50 per child (over 3) per night. No charge for dogs!
