Just been back to the farm for Easter weekend - against everyones advice due to the weather! I can confirm that it was freezing! Couldnt get our tent up on the first day, it was too big, and too windy. The owners helped us to book into a local pub for the night, and we managed to set up camp the day after - and they refunded us for the night we missed!
Love it here, very friendly and relaxing, they have a new cafe since we went last, very upmarket slightly daunting for a numpty like me - but thankfully they serve crumpets and sausage and mash etc at very reasonable prices which are absolutley devine. 5 of us ate there and we all enjoyed it (which is saying something)
I cant wait to go back, its a lovely place, just which I'd have gone into the cafe on the first day instead of the last!

This is our first review of a Camp Site, so I apologise for any mistakes. Brilliant Site, the dogs love it there, as do the children (12 11 10 yrs) Toilet/Shower/Washing area basic but cleaned at least twice a day. Staff are Very Nice, this is our regular Site as we find it very relaxing and peaceful. We have been here three times and can pass on a few Handy Hints: 1, Pitch facing away from the beach as on our 2nd visit we faced the sea and were nearly blown inside out! 2, Use the M6 Jcn 35 turn off, it you use the 34, one you end up driving through Lancaster. 3, There are two roads which lead to 'the shore' one is sign posted Red Bank Farm, off the A5105 down Pasture Lane, the other entrance is off the A6 onto St Michaels Lane (near 'Far Pavillions') this is a bit twisty but easier than going down Pasture Lane.

I loved this site. It was cheap, no extra charges for large tents or dogs etc, and the owners were lovely.
Its on a farm and the pet corner is so cute. The girls were also invited to see the cows milking but we were on our way out much to their disappointment.
The showers and toilets are basic, but were always kept clean which can't have been easy as the weather was horrible! There were 2 showers in the ladies and so I presume the same in the gents and they were the push button type, but they were free and had plenty of hot water (tho you had to wait a while for the dribble to turn into a proper stream of water). The washing up area is quite small, but then we never had to queue for it and again it was always kept clean.
Fantastic views from the site. We were pitched in the top field and overlooked the sea which was beautiful, but it also meant we had NO shelter whatsoever. We had electric hookup (there are only 4) which meant we had little choice on where to pitch and we were quite close to the caravans either side of us. This did actually turn out to be a good thing tho as they gave us a little much needed shelter! It was EXTREMELY windy.
Its within easy distance of loads of good walks, Morecambe has a fantastic park for the kids and they are in the process of developing all the front and have just put a load of sand on the beach so the kids had a great time. Its also close enough for a day out to blackpool and that took us just over an hour to get there. Morecambe seemed much more child friendly tho. It has small play parks all along the promenade and a little fairground area with rides for younger children. We also found a soft play area at the back of one of the amusement arcades but I can't remember the name of it - I think it was pleasureland.
There is a wacky warehouse attached to a 2 for one pub, but we found the service extremely slow and the food not great. We did find a pub called duke of rothesay in heysham near the ferries and the food there was really nice, reasonably priced and they have an outside play area for the children.
All in all we had a great time even if we did have to move to a static after days cos the wind was so bad but I can't blame the farm for that.
We will definitely be visiting again.

I visited this site with two sons, Aug22/23, as a base for walking up Helvellyn. It was perfect camping. A friendly, trouble-free phone booking from London. Easy to reach and find. No problem arriving late (quietly). A huge camping field - no crowding. Adequate wash/ablution facilities. A working farm site with much to see and Morecamb Bay over the wall. Tesco site handy. Perfect.

Visited this site with our 4 children in August. What a great campsite free range chickens wondering round the tent everyday, a pets corner for the kids to visit any time, organic meat etc from the shop on site ! WOW! The kids were in heaven. Then to top iot all off they were invited to watch the cows being milked!
Great site - something for everyone!
The only down side was that the pitches were not level and the 'beach' wasn't really a beach. But the ups ourweighed the downs by far!

Red Bank Farm is an excellent camp site with very beautiful scenery, and situated right on the coast has some excellent rock pools and things to explore, this does make the site quite windy but there is shelter in the bottom field which is where we pitched. The site is quiet and very good for families as it has a small petting farm which our three year old daughter thought was fantastic. Lots of chickens wandering free which is really nice. We bought some steak and eggs from the farm which were both lovely. We also managed to see the cows being milked on a few occasions. The showers and toilets are basic but clean. The only downside with the site is that there is not too much to do in the near by area. Morecambe was very drab and everything seemed closed. However it did have a Wacky warehouse which was a welcome break from the wind. Lancaster is well worth a visit though it has an excellent little market on a Saturday. All in all we had a FAB time and would definitely go back again. We would recommend to any one with a family.

Have just got back - today! from our first outing with our freecycle trailer tent - went with my parents in their motorhome and picked this site for its good pricing and nice website - were a bit worried that there wasn't much to do locally but were we wrong! site was accommodating for tents/motorhomes/tourers with no problems and no silly rules about awnings/pup tents etc you pay per person and that's it - brilliant! the site itself is large and sloping but very neatly maintained and right on the coast - literally! the 300 year old farmhouse is lovely and the people friendly. showers and toilets basic but cleaned very regularly and always had paper day and night. the petting 'zoo' bit was lovely and the kids were in and out all day long saying hi to the calves and the goats etc. we were able to watch the milking and walked on the beach every day - beware that this isn't really bucket and spade beach but is dangerous channelled/quicksand flats which stretch for miles and miles and miles - but when the tide comes it comes quickly! however as kids do they made the most by mudsliding rather than sandcastling! the site has 4 (I think) hookups but we didnt use them. An interesting area for wildlife and nature. locally very close to Morecambe and Lancaster - the maritime museum in Lancaster is a must and Leighton hall and lakeland wildlife park also fab (free kids entry to wildlife park in office on site) - nearest shop appeared to be Tesco in Carnforth and there is a very large Morrsions in Morecambe. all in all myself and two children (10 and 7) have all agreed this evening one of our favourite holidays ever! highly recommended and we would definitely go back

Visited bank holiday weekend. This is a very relaxed free and easy place without regimented pitches or endless lists of rules and regulations. it made for a very relaxed stay indeed. it is right on the shore and its a very relaxing walk across the sands. Toilets and showers aren't the best and there is a very very tight turn to the camping fields. Caravan pullers beware. The place mainly takes tents but does take tourers on occasions. Nowhere seems level but you will love the atmosphere and views.

Brilliant site, set the most beautiful surroundings on the edge of morecambe bay with the stunning hills of the lake district across the bay. The toilets and showers were very clean and well stocked with loo rolls and soap. The dish wash area was sheltered with plenty of hot water. As red bank farm is a working organic farm they have a selection of gorgeous produce and you also have a chance to watch the cows being milked in the dairy shed, also there is a great little pets corner which the children enjoyed. There is loads of space for children to play and run about safetly. The facilities are great, the pitches are in a great location either looking out over the bay, but you can get a bit of a sea breeze, or in a second more sheltered field, still with limited views across the bay towards the lake district, but best of all was the price, this site is really good value for money, costs £3.50 an adult and £1.50 a child per night. It is situated in near the to lovely town of carnforth with many shops and places of interest such as the carnforth railway station. We will definitely be returning before the end of the season!

Visited in June 07, was a very nice site, toilets and shower were clean and had washing up facilities. We pitched on the upper field which overlooked the bay which had really nice views at night during sunset. There's a Tesco just down the road and a Co-Op which were useful and its about an hours drive into the Lake District. Very cheap site, only criticism were the showers which were a button you had to press and they took a while to get hot and the water was a bit of a trickle more than anything! Other than that not bad for our first campsite!
