We visited Red Bank farm late last year and I can honestly say that this was one of the most wonderful family campsites we have visited. The toilet blocks are basic but it's a working organic farm so what do you want for the money. The tent field is on an incline but even though you have stunning views over Morecambe bay it never felt exposed. The field was well drained and standard pegs were all you needed to pitch up with (no need for the rock pegs). The night sky was amazingly clear there is also a cracking childrens petting area and the farmer allowed the children and parents to watch the milking of the cows. In summary 5/5 and we have booked for Easter 06 and just cant wait to return

This was the third time we have visited this site and have to say it gets better everytime we go... Complete back to basics camping, no stupid rules about Gazebo's, extra cost, etc etc.... as camping should be.
Toilets are shower block are very basic, but clean, cant ask for much more when its £3 per night can you..? Only problem I have is it is a bit of a trek to the nearest pub, around 25 mins walk, although Taxis are only a fiver.

August 2005 Excellent value for money and plenty of room on site. The pets corner was a popular place for our children (2, 5 & 7) and we would come back again. The only draw back was the 2 washing up sinks and 2 rather inadequate showers in each toilet block, which when there were 60+ tents at the weekend, meant a bit of queueing, but still well worth the cost.

August 2005 Just returned from a weekend at Redbank Farm and have rebooked for next weekend its that good. The site is on the seafront so the views are magnificent. We have 2 children & they fell in love with the place as soon as we drove through the gates & were met by about 20 chickens roaming about the camping field. Aswell as the chickens there is a pets corner that had pigs, sheep, geese, goats, calves, rabbits, guinea pigs, cockatiels, chipmunks & a shetland pony, these kept our kids enthralled enough for them to forget about the lack of sweetshops & amusement arcades. Also great for the kids is the beach, you step out of the site and on to the beach. There isn't a shop as such on site although you can buy eggs & meat from the farmhouse, but a van comes onsite every morning selling newspapers and an ice cream van comes on in the afternoon & Tesco's, Booths, Asda, Morrisons and Aldi are all only a few minutes drive away. The field that we camped on (the top one) is on a slope but nothing major & there were plenty of levelish pitches. The showers are free, there are 2 in the gents and 2 in the ladies and although they aren't ultra modern they are piping hot and spotlessly clean, there are soap and paper towels provided at the hand basins and soft loo roll in the loo's. The potwash area is undercover and again the hot water is free. All this for £3 per adult & £1.50 per child (dogs go free, but must be kept on a lead). Amazing prices and an amazing site. Well worth a visit.

June 2005 Stayed one night on this campsite which is in a fantastic location right next to the sea. The views are brilliant especially at sunset. Reasonably priced and very friendly people. The toilet blocks are very basic but clean and free hot water. Our only complaint was that it was very noisy with kids playing football on the field outside the tent until way past midnight - take some ear plugs if you want to get some sleep. Have to mention the chinese/ vietnamese restaurant in Bolton le Sands - it is fantastic!!

July 2005 Arrived on a Thursday afternoon and it was very quiet, in the field we chose there was only one camper van. Fantstic views onto the beach (although a little windy!) Lovely place, loved the back to basics of the farm. Showers & toilet facilities were very clean & loo roll etc was provided. Only downside was that the nearest pub was miles away in the village, would have been a good 45 min walk. Will definatley visit again

July 2005 We stayed for 2 nights the site was very nice and the veiws were great, over morecambe bay . Our 2 kids really enjoyed seeing all the farm animals and the farmer was kind telling them all about how a farm works. The showers were a bit basic but they were clean as were the tolets and the washing up area. The only down side was that when we stopped some very rowdy people were there, and on our frist night they were shouting and screaming till 3 am. Also the foul language they used i could not print. I think if they had rule to keep the noise down after 10:30pm that would help. But still a very nice site.

June 2005 Nice site, tricky to find, basic facilities (couple of showers and toilets for each gender)the wash up facilities are in doors, and hot water/showers are included. Friendly with beautiful views over Morecambe Bay and Grange Over Sands. What more do you need? £9 per night family of 4

June 2005 We stayed at Red Bank Farm on a sunnny weeknd in June. When we got there the campsite was nearly full, so it showed what a good site it was. It is only £3 adult and £1.50 a child and dogs go free, which does not happen everywhere. After we pitched the tent, we had a wonder around and found alittle farm for children to walk round and saw the cows being milked, which was fun, but please watch out they dont sneeze on you, they did this to my better half and god what a lot there was as well, hehe. Well i thought it was funny.
The farmer is very friendly and will freeze ice packs for you etc. We bought some lovely free range eggs, the chickens just walk about the tents and a van comes and sells papers in the mornings. Once you step outside of the farm, the beach is right in front of you and it is great for dogs and kids alike, plenty of beach to explore and run free for hours on end. We have teenagers and it kept them amused for hours and even disappeared with the dogs for ages, which was good for us. There are sheep on the beginning of the beach, so just watch the dogs and dont let them off the lead till you have walked along the beach for a while. There is a Spar a few minutes drive away in a little village which is quaint.
The toilets and showers are basic but very clean, but what do you want for £3 a night, plus the showers are free and hot,2 in the ladies and 1 in the mens. It was a fun weekend, while we was there a large birthday party arrived, which made it more fun, as they had all the kids playing football,in the middle of the field, this went on till it went dark, the group was not noisey at all and everyone there had a good laugh.
I strongly recommend this site to anyone, whether you have young kids, old kids are other halves, that act like big kids. It is a good site and I will be going back soon as I can for fun and relaxation
