Enjoyed our stay here toilets and showers were clean on every visit. Walked to whitby with dog every day came back on bus never on time price varied. Went to pub near site expensive 2 pints £7. 10 food expensive. In whitby visited star inn we and our dog were made very welcome by owners and staff, our dog was spoilt with dog treats, even their own dog very friendly best of all mon - thurs £ 2. 50 a pint, well worth a visit.

Good Location, dog friendly, bit of a walk into Whitby but it can be done, if your a walker. The Facilities are good the but the cleanliness is very poor, just one very dirty water mop and bucket for the Gents & Ladies, did not see clean water let alone disinfectant in it once during the week we stayed.

We enjoyed Whitby Folk Week, the museum in Whitby is good, Robin Hood Bay, the Moors and most of all Yorkshire Steam Railway.

This is an excellent small campsite, we visited august bank holiday week and had a wonderful time, the whole site was kept immaculately clean, and the toilet shower block is very modern and well decorated and clean at all times. The site is generally nice and level, and is sheltered from winds due to the topography and a well planted hedges. We received a very warm welcome, and also a cheery departure. The site is 1. 5 miles from centre of Whitby, and also situated close to a park and ride for Whitby. There was plenty of room for the kids, (and adults) to play ball games, fly kites etc. The tent field is separated from the hard standing pitches with hookups by a hedge. The site has no shop or playground so you have to make your own entertainment for the kids. We found all other campers to be friendly and courteous during our stay. The site has sensible rules banning music after 10pm, and also not allowing large groups- this probably helped the friendly atmosphere. I will visit this site again any recommend it to anyone who likes a quiet with good showers.

This is a nice site on outskirts of whiby. With in walking distance to whitby town. The shower block was good with plenty of hot water and free showers, but can see it getting busy in summer holidays as only 2 shower cubicles. The garage about 100 yrds away has papers and magazines as well as crisps and sweets ect. There is a pub other side of campsite about 150yrds away but never visited it.

Recently enjoyed a three night stay at this site, close to Whitby.

Decent toilet block, however the site was surprisingly quiet when were there - considering schools had already broken up. If the site was busy there could be queues, but to be honest isn't that the case with most sites?

The views from the site were fantastic and definitely a highlight. Nicely located for Whitby itself, especially on bike or car. We cycled down to the old railway line and on to Robin Hoods Bay which was lovely.

No problem at all with any other campers, everyone was really friendly, or with the site owners. They left us to our own devices when we checked in which personally I prefer.

I'd be more than happy to return in the future.

An excellent site with really lovely owners who go the extra mile to help. The toilets/showers are immaculate as are the camping fields.

The site is ideally situated for visiting Whitby and the other lovely coastal villages of North Yorkshire.

The costs are particularly reasonable for electric hook ups.

Thoroughly recommended

What a lovely site, we stayed for a week and had a fine time. Nearby garage is ideal and Whitby is about a 30 minute boring walk but well worth it.

If you don't have a car then sadly there are no walks around the site, we had a pre booked hire car for three days so plan ahead if your car less. Enterprise hired us a Fiesta for £75 for 3 days and collected us from site, we toured all over and found loads to see and do.

The owners and toilet block were perfect we had no problems at all.

We arrived on a glorious Monday and had such a lovely greeting by the Owner. After being shown where the facilities were and where we had been located, we were very much left to it. The pitches for the touring caravans are excellent right near to the shower blocks and washing area which we did not need to use. Clean, tidy and very organised. Very close to Whitby town, 20 minutes walk or there is now 5 minutes away a park and ride. Close to all local attractions and definitely worth a visit. We shall be calling again in the future.

 Stayed for two nights.

The site is lovely. It was fairly busy the two nights we stayed.

The toilets are clean and the showers warm.

The field is on a gradually steepening slope so finding a flat pitch is not easy but there is a lot of space.

The main road is a but noisy but it does eventually go quiet.

The walk down to the harbour is a bit long but it is all down hill on the way in ;0)

In Summary, a nice site and clean. Bit of a walk in to town.

 Stayed for three nights

Positives.

Location

Scenery

Shower block ok ish

Value for money

Small deposit required

Things we weren't happy about

Told talking in an awning at 10pm that we were too noisy even with no music on

The rules say no talking or music after 11pm but the owner threatens evicting campers off site and police even though they stick to the 11pm rule

No rules for children waking the site before 8am

Grey and loo waste disposed in same place. An old loo which is raised off the ground so like us if you've a large water hog you'll need to be strong to lift it when full to empty it

Told in an abrupt email when asked if we could stay after 12 noon. NO. During our stay other campers were leaving well into the afternoon

Then asked if the shower blocks had hairdryers. Told again NO. Just seemed somewhat unfriendly sending one word email replies

Sorry but mainly because of the threats of being thrown off site even though we were keeping to the rules we won't be returning
