 We really enjoyed our stay here. It was fairly quiet to start with but filled up over the weekend and still plenty of room to spread out. We went with in a group and were told to camp anywhere we liked. It was nice to camp facing each other and not in regimented rows especially with 3 teenagers and 7 toddlers in our group!
The site is basic with electric hookup in some areas, plenty of water taps and portaloos and the recently finished shower / toilet block is clean with decent showers. The rubbish was collected from out tents some days too. Staff check everything ok if there is noise near you and no music after 10pm is allowed. Still needs a few finishing touches in the shower block like mirrors, shelves in the showers and benches in the shower area would be nice too.
Friendly owners, pleasant surroundings and very close to whitby and other areas. Will definitely be back.

Lovely clean campsite 5 mins drive from Whitby town centre. We've stayed here on several occasions. Do not feed the donkey, it bites! Large car boot 2 fields away on sundays. Shower / toilet block being built. Very friendly owners.
Take heed. This site is somewhat exposed to the winds coming in off the moors, our awning canopy was buckled and ripped and had to be totally replaced, a costly visit!
That aside, site has stunning views straight across the open moors and is a great base from which you can explore the numerous attractions Whitby and the surrounding area has to offer. Lovely beach(Sandsend) a couple of miles away to walk the dog.
Petrol station 4hundred yards away, also, Onestop shop and Lidl approx 2 miles approaching Sandsend.
There is a fantastic pub next door (The Stables ?) The food is exquisite, we thouroughly recommend a visit, they have an early bird menu which is somewhat less expensive than the evening menu.
We will go back to this site if some sort of protection against the wind is put into place.

Great site - very friendly owner.
Approx 20-30min walk into Whitby.
Restaurant next door (haven't been) and small shop/petrol station 5 minutes walk away.
Only 1 toilet with sink at present, but currently building a shower / toilet block which is scheduled to be completed in approx 6 weeks.
Also has cottages and B&B on site.

Great little site just outside Whitby. There is only one toilet on site but for £10 a night you can't moan.
There are 10 hard standing pitches with electric.
This site is very quiet, very peaceful, reccomended.
So if you have all the mod cons of a caravan there is no need for shower or washing facilities block.
