Back to this site again after 11 months since our last visit. I did a review last time but thought I would do an update. Last year the site was half full when we were there and the weather was sunshine all the way. This time the site was full a lot of the time as it was a bank holiday, and the weather was variable to say the least. I am pleased to say even when full you still feel like you have plenty of space around you and at no time did the site feel crowded. With its 53 plots there is more than enough space. Toilets were kept spotless even when it had been raining and the ground outside got a bit muddy. New Wardens this year, but just as friendly and helpful as the last Wardens. The trees and plants are maturing nicely and the elephant grass gives you that great feeling of privacy without having to use an ugly wind break. So I am still happy to highly recommend this site and feel sure you wont be disappointed. My more detailed review on the site, facilities and area is on the previous page.

If you want peace and quiet with private pitches, this is the site for you. Adult only site. Very peaceful. Close to Bourton on the water ( a must visit). A good base for visiting the Cotswolds. A warm welcome. Dish washing facilities and the free use of a fridge/freezer and a microwave. Only downside is limited facilities when site is full, three toilets and two sinks in the ladies are not enough. Would definitely come back, lovely private pitches with hook up and water.

This was our first proper camping experience and after much searching we decided on Field Barn Park - what a great decision! (The fact that the site is for over 30's did sway us a little)

The site is well laid out and each pitch is of a good size and offers some privacy due to the shrubs, etc that have been planted.

We never had a problem getting a shower - no waiting, always hot water and very clean. The wash up area was always clean and having the use of a fridge/freezer, microwave and iron with no charge and the washing machine/tumble drier with a charge is an added benefit.

There is easy access to the surrounding Cotswolds villages, etc.

We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night and will definitely make a return visit in the future.

Enjoyed a week end July/start August. Our pitch at top end of site with good views, but was very sloping so needed blocks under front for levelling, also had to use both 25mtr & 12mtr cable joined to reach power point! It's lovely & peaceful, nice during school holidays, with good size pitches which don't overlook each other. Facilities kept in good order with, but only 2 loos & 3 showers in gents may be busy when site full. Pleasant half hour walk over fields into Bourton-on-the-Water. An hourly bus service into Cheltenham. The site is 'wild life friendly', with hares running about, & wardens helpful.

Really enjoyable visit to this peaceful, well run, well laid out site. The pitches have good privacy owing to shrubs and tall reeds and drain really well. The facilities are kept spotlessly clean and the wardens are very friendly and helpful. They also sell meat from the local family farm.

The site is well located for touring the North/Central Cotswolds where many local villages have pubs serving great real ale and fabulous, (if sometimes a bit pricey) food. There are lots of birds including yellowhammer, reed bunting, skylark, song throughsh and the whole site has dozens of resident hares that come out to feed at dawn and dusk.

The only small gripe, and this goes for many sites, is that it would be much nicer if the toilet facilities were separate from the shower/washing facilities. Not great to be cleaning your teeth whilst someone is making a bad smell in the next cubicle if you know what I mean! The price including EHU is a bit high in comparison to other sites with more facilities but, for us, it was well worth the extra money to have the peace and quiet of an adults only site.

This site is well off the beaten track and is for ages 30+. I personally thought that there could have been a few more toilets and showers as the site wasn't particularly busy but still had to queue. The pitches are extremely big and the site has no lighting so is completely black at night, torch required for night visits to the loo. The on-site wardens are very friendly and offer advise on the site and locality. Overall a terrific site and will visit again.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and use it to visit Bourton on the Water at night. We stayed bank holiday weekend so but annoying that they put the prices up and still charge for dogs (paid £29 for 1 night which I think is a fiver too much considering its purely a field). Its a nice field but they don't offer walks, kid area etc. Pitches are very large and well maintained. Shower block and washing up area is pretty good but with only 3 showers (for men) could get busy in peak season.

They have a dog walking area. Wardens are very nice and offer advice on the area as well as selling local burgers etc. You must visit Bourton on the water if staying here. Literally 3min walk to the beautiful town. Will stay again, but a drop in prices would help!

We decided to book following excellent reviews and were not disappointed.

Site was so relaxing and very friendly wardens, nothing was too much for them.

The shower block was clean at all times. My husband noticed one morning he had left his bracelet in the shower room then went over and it was still there.

Nice that you had your own pitch marked out for you with bushes in between and lovely to look across the field without others right in front of you.

Had good signal on mobile phone.

The village was lovely and not far from the campsite with easy access to other villages like Cirencester which is worth a visit.

We also went into Oxford for the day which takes around 50 mins but wasn't disappointed.

Would not hesitate to go back.

Field Barn Park GL54 2LF. About 20 miles from m5, one night stop over on the way down to Cornwall, very friendly steward met at the entrance to the well set out unspoilt countryside setting, site with nice views, all firm pitches some need levelling blocks but not that bad if not got! If you like your TV you have to state when booking some areas will not get reception toilets and showers very modern and clean and nice hot water in plentiful supply will use again

This is a brilliant site. Really spacious and open with beautiful views. We were 2 adults in a motorhome and were met by the warden on arrival who was really helpful to us advising of other sites in the area when we enquired and other local knowledge. He also popped round in the evening to check on everyone, which was a really nice touch. The shower block and washing area were very clean.

The walk down to Bourton-On-The-Water is beautiful. About 30 mins through the fields and the so picturesque with 3 good pubs and lovely shops. We elected to get back via a taxi which was only £5 ! Would definitely recommend this site.
