When we arrived there was no owner / warden on site so we just picked a pitch and got on with setting up. There were about 5 other couples who were set up in various places around this well kept if very sloping in places site. We were camping with another couple who were in a tent so we opted for an area which was fairly flat. The owner / warden turned up on our last day and took payment. Overall this is a lovely site with nice clean facilities but probably more suited to caravans. We now have children so will not be visiting again in the near future.

It was our first visit to the Cotswolds and we couldn't have chosen a better site. The pitches are level with masses of room and regular water points. The toilet block is immaculately clean and warm. The owners were very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. One downside is that the toilets do get rather crowded in the morning but it was a Bank Holiday weekend. In all, a very peaceful site in a great location. We will certainly be back.

This was our first ever outing as campers.W hat a lovely site to start with.
A very well laid out site with large pitches all with EHU and water.
The toilet facilities spotlessly clean - inside washing up area with fridge/ freezer which is free to use. Also eggs ice, cream etc for people to buy.At the top of the field it has a shed which has maps and local info which is useful. The farmer is very friendly and helpful.
If you want peace and quiet then this is the site for you. We will definitely be coming back to this site to unwind.

What a find this campsite was, besides the fact it is so well hidden you could easily miss it!
We stayed the w/e of the 4/5th and there were no other tents (wimps!) and 4 caravans on the site, so it was blissfully quiet, despite this we were told by the friendly site owner that the following bank holiday is fully booked - I can now see why!
The site owners really have thought it out well - plenty of EHU's and water points, plus once all the tree's and grasses that have been planted become established it will be even better.
The pitches are huge, we managed to get a 3 man and 4 man tent plus two cars on, the toilet / shower block was clean and modern, the kitchen / washing area was good and has a fridge which is free to use.
The site really does sit in the middle of no-where and there aren't many views to speak of but as a place to relax its great. My only slight gripe was as the other reviewer commented, the ground was a difficult to get the pegs into, plus due to the prevailing wind and following clear night the noise from the traffic on the A429 carried over slightly, although no one else noticed!
We'll be sure to recommend and return :-)

You need to keep an eye out for the sign off the road, but it's worth it!
The site is really well laid out, with generous pitches and lots of maturing greenery to create some privacy. There is a slight slope to some of the pitches and some stones close to the ground surface mean you need to be a bit careful when pitching the tent, but it's not too bad.
The shower, loo and kitchen block are all clean and tidy, and the water got hot!
It's a long miles' walk into Bourton-on-the-water, all downhill there but that does also mean it's all uphill (and quite steep in places) on the way back.
We visited three local National Trust places during our visit and took some lovely walks in the Cotswold country-side.
Our dog was welcome, and there were plenty off 'doggie-bins' around the site.
It is an adult only site (one of the main attractions for us) and there is nothing on the site in terms of evening entertainment, so you do need to travel if you can't entertain yourself, but again, that worked for us!
We had a lovely stay and will be back.

This is a fantastic campsite!
Even though it is a new site the owners have thought of everything.
We arrived early on the Friday of our weekend and the owners were on site and they pointed us in the direction of our pitch (normally it is on a board by the entrance to the site.)
Lovely clean toilets and showers, free hot water. Meat and eggs to buy from the local farm. Clean wash up area. Well sized pitches.
Only down side was that there was not much of a view from the site and some of the pitches had a slope but hay if that's all!
We will be returning to this site as soon as possible!

Visited this site during the Bank Holiday & it wasn't overly busy which was good as it was a generally peaceful site.
There was a slight mix up with our tent pitches as we had two booked but only had one however this was big enough to accommodate our tent & our friends. The site owners were friendly and even gave us a discount on the pitch as we had to share one. It had two washing up sinks inside with freezer and washing facilities which was useful. I highly recommend that people try the local produce, (i.E Hereford Beef Steaks and Beefburgers as well as the absolutely adoring Ice Cream) provided by the site owners & the money is left in an honesty box which is refreshing to see that everybody appeared to participate in with. This site is about a mile and a half away from the picturesque Bourton On the Water which is well worth a visit.
Now the only downside & it's not many is that the showers didn't drain very well so after you'd dried yourself, you were still standing in your own water, there was only two washing sinks in the gents and two toilets which I feel wasn't enough and I did have to wait the one morning! The site could benefit with maybe a couple of low level lights as you couldn't see a thing at night.
Overall, would I go again, I don't know, I'd like to see if any improvements had been made. If they had I think I would be tempted.

A peaceful site set in lovely countryside. Huge pitches which is a good job as they made a mistake with our booking and only gave up 1 pitch for us and our friends but we still fitted 2 tents and a outwell sliding canopy and 2 cars on it with safety in mind. Steaks, beefburgers and ice cream must not be missed. The owners are lovely though they are not on site all time which didn't matter as there was no problems with anyone on site. They have a great deal of trust for their customers as everything is on honesty systems and you often came across their blackberry sitting in the information shed and this was respected.
Only 2 gripes;the rubbish issue, they have great recycling facilities but nowhere for general rubbish, the stuff you can't recycle and as a result people were just leaving their black sacks by the recycling.Very neatly. No one wants to or will take a rubbish bag home unless in the middle of nowhere so I think Martin and Henrietta should give in and supply a bin Other gripe was the showers in the ladies don't drain and they just flood the whole place out. It's not nice standing in cold standing water. But I would recommend this site just be prepared for the wind as it can blow but it really is a peaceful and quiet piece of countryside close to some beautiful sights.

The site was excellent. When we arrived owners came to see us. Martin and Henrrieta are very friendly and helpful. Very clean and well maintained modern toilet block and washing up area. Large pitches. As this site does not allow children it is very quiet, peaceful and very relaxing. Its not to far to the village Brouton on the Water, which has plenty to offer Well worth a visit.

What a fantastic site! Set in beautiful, quiet, undulating countryside of the Cotswolds. The site is just 1 1/2 miles to the attractive village of Boughton on the Water.
The pitches are big (the pitch next to is fitted in three tents and a gazebo!), flat, well drained, clearly marked out and numbered. There is a water point between each pitch meaning not too far to carry the water! The site facilities are spotlessly clean. The ladies had three loos, one sink cubicle and another 'open' sink (with soap), hand-drier (though loud enough to be heard from the pitches closest to the loo block), three free push button showers and free hairdryer. The showers are very clean, powerful and hot (give it a moment for water to heat up). However, probably my only (very small!) gripe about the whole site are that the shower cubicles are 'wet rooms' - there's no dry area once in the cubicle. There are plenty of hooks and a small (ankle high) plastic stool in the cubical but the water didn't drain from the floor leaving a big puddle to get changed in. It probably didn't help though that while trying to juggle towel and putting on jeans without getting them soaked I managed to drop my t-shirt on the floor so it got dripping wet. To have a curtain or some of screen to have a 'dry' area, and the floor to be a bit better draining would make all the difference.
Also in the block is the washing up room with two sinks with hot water, a washing machine, free to use fridge and freezer. A lovely touch is that they also offer meat, fresh free range eggs and local ice cream for sale on an honesty box system. I tried the ice cream and it was delicious! The people next to us had ordered some burgers and also gave a good report. I also like the way that recycling is compulsory on site. There are bins for food, BBQs, tin and plastic - no big smelly 'general' rubbish bins. It would have helped if we'd known from when we arrived on site rather than have to sort it out after. Also instructions on what to do with no-recyclable waste (i.E. Take it home?!) as a couple of groups had just left sacks next to the recycling boxes.
Other that there's just the information shed - a reasonable selection of local leaflets. The owners aren't based on site but seem to visit often and are very friendly, walking round talking to campers, collecting fees etc.
To make the most of walking and cycling in the immediate area I would strongly recommend getting an OS map as the Boughton on the Water visitor centre offered few thorough local guides - but that could be due to visiting in high season they were out of stock. During our stay we cycled to Northleach - a lovely (if hilly!) approx 6 mile ride each way. We had a drink in the pretty gardens of the Wheatsheaf Inn. Then in the evening walked into Boughton on the water for dinner by the river watching the duck races - The Old Manse I think it was called, lovely food but mediocre service. Another restaurant (the Rose?) a couple of doors down looked better but unfortunately was fully booked. Followed by a drink at the Duke of Wellington - out of the way of the main tourist traffic but still right in the town centre with garden seats next to the water round the back. Although not far the walk back is up hill all the way! Then the next day on the way home we stumbled across the lovely Fox Inn at Little Barrington advertising food all day. Here again with a lovely water side garden and brilliant roast Sunday dinner with a home cooked feel to it with a fruity local ale.
Overall a great site, definitely recommended for grown ups wanting a relaxing break. Offers peace and quiet with spotless facilities and ideally located for reaching local attractions without any traffic noise.
