We visited this site after reading other good reviews, they were right, what a lovely site this is,large quite private pitches, lovely clean modern showers/toilets and washing up facilities, very peaceful and relaxing. We had visited Bourton before and it is a beautiful, quaint Cotswold village. An ideal base to go from for walking and exploring the area, we walked to Lower and Upper slaughter two stunning villages in the area, well worth a visit. Would also recommend the Chinese restaurant in Bourton, excellent.
Would definitely visit this site again.

We stayed here for 2 nights in our Outwell and enjoyed every minute.
This is an adult only site close to Bourton on the Water - a lovely village with lots to do and plenty of places to eat.
The site itself was peaceful and quiet - a little road noise but not loud enough to be disturbing. The toilets and showers were very clean and well kept. The showers are free and so was the hairdryer. However they are few in number so if the site is full you'd need to be there early.
The washing up area has 2 sinks so again avoid peak time to avoid queing. Again they are very clean and well kept with washing up liquid provided.
The burgers, steak on offer looked fantastic however, never got chance to try. We did try the icecream which was gorgeous and a must try fo anyone visiting.
Not all of the pitches were flat, but not on too much of a slope. They were massive in size though so you could pitch whichever way suited you best.
Not a large site, but that was no bad thing. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We really really like this campsite. The main bonus is that it is child free! This weekend we even had a lie-in!
The site is a couple of miles from B-on-W and set away from roads, so it is lovely and peaceful, especially at night. It is ideally situated if you want to explore the Cotswolds.
This is our second visit and we'll certainly be returning. The pitches are extremely well spaced out, the washing-up room is very clean and well respected. The shower block is clean (except I kept finding hairs galore around the sink but that has more to do with the visitors!).
The cappuccino ice-cream on sale in the washing-up room is delicious!
The owners are extremely friendly.

We have recently returned from a lovely stay at this site. Lovely location, ideal for walking - lots of footpaths running nearby.
Site is great - lovely spacious pitches, planting between which offers some privacy, quiet and peaceful.
Facilities were fairly basic but spotlessly clean - even when the site was full over the weekend always clean. Didn't have to queue for a shower at all during our week stay.
Only slight annoyance which others have also mentioned is the rubbish. We recycle so that was no trouble but the 'unrecyclables' were a nuisance particularly as the weather was very hot.
We will definitely visit again sometime.

This was our third visit to the site and we thoroughly enjoyed it again!
The pitches are large and all have electric hookup available. (We learnt from experience on a previous visit that it is worth checking where the nearest hookup is before pitching your tent to ensure that your cable will reach!)
The trees and shrubs were planted within the last few years so, because we were expecting a very hot weekend, we took a parasol with us to provide some shade. However, even though the planting is quite young, there is still a feeling of privacy because of the size of the pitches and because different areas of the campsite are separated by swathes of tall elephant grass.
We always found the toilets / showers very clean and have never experienced any queues (even though the site was almost full when we visited this time).
There are fridges / freezers and an ironing board in the washing up room, together with mini tubs of delicious, locally produced icecreams and eggs for sale, and meat can be ordered for BBQs (one day's notice required for meat).
The atmosphere on the site is quiet and relaxed and the owners are very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Definitely the place to go if you want to really relax! We can't wait to go again!

I concur with all that has previously been said about this site, very spacious pitches, clean, good facilities etc. It is rather expensive though compared like for like with other sites we've stayed on. We had some of their steaks which were very good indeed.
The only thing that would put me off going back is the need to bring the rubbish home and the cost of £18 per night. When camping, it's not easy to segregate rubbish for recycling, especially in hot weather when it attracts flies and starts to smell.
Also a warning, don't eat at the Old Manse Hotel/Bar in Bourton, the food is dire and the staff just don't care - try the Fox Inn at Windrush, much better quality of food and pretty location not too far from Field Barn Park.

Lovely spacious site, big flat-ish pitches but VERY hard ground - our plastic pegs were bent out of all recognition and the 'corkscrew' type dog tie-outs were useless.
The shower block is not luxurious but fine and kept very clean, shower cubicles are a bit small and it can be difficult to keep clothes dry. There are 3 showers, 3 toilets, one basin and one wash cubicle in the ladies, similar in gents - 2 basins, no wash cubicle.
Lots of recycling but no rubbish bins, you have to take it home.
Great dog-walk along the edge of a corn field and plenty of dog poo bins.
There is a freezer for ice packs and small items of food and 2 fridges available to use. No shop but an honesty box for scrumptious ice creams and eggs in the washing-up room.
Approx. 40 minute walk through fields to Bourton-on-the-Water where there are more shops, cafes and pubs than you can shake a stick at. Our dogs loved 'the Water'. Lovely walk to the Slaughters.
For walkers/dog walkers some of the more remote footpaths are very overgrown and some are impassable, best to stick to the major ones nearer to popular towns/villages.
Altogether a very good site which we would be very happy to return to (with rock pegs!)

This was our first camping holiday, and we found this site lovely. We wanted a quiet and peaceful site, to try out our new tent and equipment, and this is just that. Everything you could need was available, and all kept very clean by the owners. You could hear the main road in the distance, but it was not a problem. Very dog friendly, with their own exercise area. The fridge/freezer available to use is very useful for your morning cuppa and nightly beer! Every, very large, pitch had a hookup and there were water pipes everywhere.
The surrounding area is very pretty, all helped by the perfect sunshine that we were lucky enough to have enjoyed! Plenty of places to eat and drink in Bourton-on-the-Water, just a five minute drive away. You can walk, but if carrying supplies, it may be best to drive as its uphill most of the way back. The dogs loved the river.
Only stayed two nights, but would liked to have stayed longer, and would go back again.
I just hope our next campsite will be as good!

We both loved this very peaceful campsite, with its spacious pitches, (all with electric hook-up). As you arrive there is a board with your name and pitch number on. The toilet and shower blocks are very clean.
We met the owner Martin, who was friendly and welcoming.
Bourton On The Water, is about 1 mile away, and well worth a visit with its river side pubs and restaurants. We are looking forward to our next visit to Field Barn Park.

We recently visted 'Bourton-On-The-Water' and needed somewhere to stay nearby to this pretty village. We found the Field Park Barn details here and the reviews were favourable so decided to book a couple of nights with our campervan.
We contacted the site owners via email then later by phone, the lady answered the phone and seemed rather vague to start with until she realised who we were.
Anyway we arrived at the site late in the evening and found the site easy to locate using our sat nav, the track down to the field is around half a mile and very dusty but overall the drive is fairly well maintained.
We found a board at the entrance to the pitches, with a diagram showing our names and pitch number allocated, the board shows also shows location of toilet & showers etc, also a very nice touch was the position to point your aerial for TV reception, which by the way is a good signal on digital freeview.
Our first disappointment was with the pitch, it was impossible to level our camper as the pitch was unlevel in both directions, we didn't have levelling blocks as we didn't realise it would be this bad, looking around the site we found many of the pitches were unlevel.
When it came to hook up to the mains we were baffled as to where to plug in, previous sites we have visited this hasn't been a problem. After hunting around for several minutes the only place we could plug into near our pitch was about 30+ft away behind the caravan on the next pitch and onto the pitch the other side of them, we had to go behind their caravan in grass and nettles up to our knees to plug in the hook up (Luckily it was long enough just) in fairness we noticed most of the pitches hook up points were nearer, our plot for reference was 17A in the corner.
Toilet facilities although clean, gents side has just 3 toilet cubicles and 3 shower cubicles. The first morning I headed down to the toilet to use the toilet and take a shower (it was around 7.15am) entering the gents I was greeted by a queue of people waiting for the shower cubicles to become free. We are fairly new to this camping stuff so don't know how common this is but we've not encountered this on other sites? I went into the cubicle to do my daily function but was simply unable to do so as I had people standing directly infront of my cubicle door & also leaning against the cubicle partition to my right talking, any personal noise emitted would clearly be heard and with this in mind I decided to give it up as a bad job (no pun intended) also the chance of having a shower was clearly not an option unless I wanted to join the crowd and put others through the same experience, so I left and returned to our camper where I used the pota-potti and had a strip wash instead.
The following day I was able to get a shower but only in the early evening when it was quiet! The shower was just a very light sprinkle although the water was a fair temperature, suddenly the water pressure increased to what I would consider normal when the person in the 3rd shower cubicle had finished, with this in mind I'm not sure how 3 people could occupy all 3 shower cubicles in one go? also I was aware that as I was showering in the end cubicle my waste water was running down from my shower floor into the other cubicles so make sure you don't use the center cubicle if this bothers you as it would me.
Good things about the site are the pitch sizes, the little room that joins onto the showers has fresh eggs and locally made ice cream, you just place the money in a biscuit tin which is a nice touch.
The site was fairly quiet although we did find that although we kept our dog on a lead or tethered when using our pitch, no one else bothered, and as a result of which most didn't respond to there owners when called back.
Another minor annoyance for us at least is there are no rubbish bins provided on site (the owners request that you take away any rubbish when you leave) they have recycling bins but we had to take a smelly bag of rubbish & food waste away in our camper until we could find a suitable waste bin on our way home, with space being a problem in a small campervan this is not ideal and seems a little unfair.
Overall, this isn't a bad site and we quite enjoyed staying here, the owners were polite and friendly. The site is very convenient for visiting the lovely picturesque village of 'Bouton-On-The-Water' or 'little venice' as it is often referred to, it's very pretty but extremely busy, there are lots of places to sit down alfresco and enjoy a light meal or a cream tea as we did, in wonderful surroundings.
