We have stayed on this site many times before - what an absolute delight! Easy to find, wide access and large pitches. Water points are abundant and the toilets and pot washing facilities spotless. Easy access to an on-site dog walk, the Monarch Way for those who like serious walking and Bourton is a one mile stroll through wonderful farm land. Because this is a site for more mature people it always seems to have a good atmosphere. Only one very small negative, with the wind blowing in the wrong direction some noise from the A429 Cheltenham Road can be heard.

Enjoyed an excellent stay at Field Barn Park one weekend in May. Having just bought a new tent, we wanted somewhere relatively local to test it out. We spotted Field Barn Park through this website and liked the reviews, so we packed up and arrived unannounced.
The site is a little difficult to spot from the road, but there is a small sign on the gate to know you;ve arrived at the right place. Despite not booking, the on-site warden welcomed us and gave us a choice of pitches. The pitches are massive, and all with electric hook up.
The toilet block was nice, modern and exceptionally clean, although space is limited. The washing-up room contains a fridge and freezer with some ice cream to buy but also space to store some essentials and refreeze your ice packs for free.
The site is gently sloping but pitches are fairly level. There is a busy road some distance away so there is slight traffic noise when the wind blows in the right direction. During the day when we camped, there was also some mechanical noise from the quarry a few miles away. Again, though, not too intrusive. A signposted dog walk starts from the NW corner of the site, into the next field.
Overall, a very pleasant site indeed and excellent value for money. We would certainly return.

My husband and I met my brother and his wife at this site for an Easter break we are all under 40 years of age.
We followed the directions from the website and found the site easily. On arrival we were greeted by the owner who directed us to our pitches,
We were surprised at how big the pitches were we could have managed with one pitch and put our 5 man tent and my brothers 4 man tent on easily,
There is a water point in between each pitch which is very convenient and saved endless trips to collect water. Each pitch is divided by box hedging and tree saplings.
It was a very nature friendly site and it shows that the owner has not been greedy trying to squeeze too many pitches in.
The toilet block was spotless at all times that we visited, showers were hot although the pressure did drop at peak times, but this is to be expected as the site was full.
The pot wash area was clean and well equipped with plenty of fridge and freezer space, a washing machine and iron & board. There is a freezer stocked with locally made ice cream, we all had a different flavour, they were well worth £1.50.
We walked into the village in the day and at night time, there is a steep hill on the way back and no clear paths we took torches for our walk back which I would advise.
We found the location very well placed for visiting local sites and attractions.
I can see that we will be returning to the site in the not too distant future.

This site is easy to miss, being a gateway in a field hedge up a narrowish road, that is not that well signposted. Huge field on quite a slope (it is the Cotswolds) but caravans easily levelled. Well kept and clean. Short drive down back road to village (drive carefully) with pubs, restaurants. Adequate, yet not impressive toilet/shower block and toilet disposal point.
Owners do not live on site so leave notes on notice board at entrance and call around for rent.
Enjoyed stay and will go back.

Just got home after visiting this wonderful camp site. Our first night we were the only campers there as the site closes end September. We spent 3 nights here and wished we could have stayed longer. The facilities are great and although we didn't get to enjoy the famous steaks (end of season) we did manage to test the burgers and rather gorgeous they were too! The owners were great, just let you get on with it and do your own thing. The weather let us down badly but we managed to get out and about on our bikes visiting Moreton in Marsh (we managed to get lovely steak from the butcher there). We can see ourselves returning there again and again. If your looking for club house and on site entertainment and your time being organised for you, then this is not the place for you, if your looking for total relaxation in a beautiful and peaceful setting, this is the place for you.

We were looking for a site to use en route from the north and near to Kemble so as to take in an airshow. We found this site in ukcampsites but could not find it in any other of our site guides. We booked by telephone and were greeted by a very friendly helpful voice, on that basis we decided to 'take a chance' on the site. It turned out to be a good decision, the pitches are of generous size and, although on a slight slope we easily 'levelled' our motorhomes by parking sideways on the pitch. Water is close at hand, the facilities are in one corner but are not as far from all parts of the site as some places we have been. Would we return? definitely as it must be the most central site for the Cotswolds.

What a lovely peaceful site this is. Adults only, large pitches each with a small dividing hedge, water and electic next to each touring pitch, friendly, helpful owners - who visit the site every day to clean the facilities and check everyone is ok - showers clean and just about coped over the Bank Holiday weekend when the site was full.
Would recommend the owners think about adding a few more and perhaps include a shower curtain between clothes and shower unit. But plastic bags and redirecting the shower head solved this problem. The steak, beefburgers (real beef!) and ice cream on sale via an honesty box in the wash up area were delicious (ice cream a bit pricey at £1.50 for a tiny tub - but lovely for a treat).
Would also recommend the owners erect a bigger sign at the site entrance - we sailed past it twice before we found it despite putting the coordinates in the sat nav!
Needless to say the Cotswolds are a wonderful part of our country and the main towns are within easy reach of this site. Visit the smaller villages too they are beautiful.
Altogether a wonderful site - hope to go back next year!

This is a lovely campsite. As previous reviewers have noted, pitches are generous and facilities adequate and kept very clean (unlike reviewer below, we had no problem with keeping clothing dry in the shower.). It was nice being on an adult only site, and we slept well each night.
Despite visiting at a busy time of year, we also didn't have to queue for showers or sinks, though we stayed mid-week. The owners don't stay on site, but visited the campsite each day and were very friendly and helpful.
The only downside was the traffic noise. The site is close to a main road, and it is noisy at night. This isn't a problem if you can sleep through traffic noise, or with earplugs, and it wouldn't put us off staying again.

I am concerned that visitors are taking their rubbish home from our site; why? I do not understand.
We have 3 boxes for rubbish:
First box for cans, tin cans and bottles.
Second box is for tin foil that can't be re-claimed at the moment.
Third box is for everything else, that is newsprint, plastic bottles, plastic food wrap and packaging, cardboard, and card boxes.
All waste food - compost material - goes in the blue dustbin with no plastic, as plastic does not make good compost, well not for about 10,000 years.
Simple.
Broken chairs, tents, beds, etc, etc, please take home to your own waste bin.
Thank you.

This was our first camping experience and what a great one! A fantastic huge pitch, which was on a slight slope, but not a problem. There was enough room for our foxwing awning, over-sized Landy and large tent.
Showers and toilets were clean and always free for early risers. Owners were friendly and helpful - they even took in a delivery for use that was supposed to arrive at home but didn't - they said we could redirect it to them, no problem.
The area is simply gorgeous with quaint villages and lots of history.
We took our new puppy, who loved the site and the walks in the fields next door.
Nice and quiet, where people keep themselves to themselves. It's set the campsite benchmark rather high!
