We chose to stay at Inside Park after enjoying two stays there several years ago. Unfortunately the site was very disappointing this time and we only stayed for one night rather than two we had booked and paid for.
We arrived 15 minutes early at 11.45 and were happy to wait for our pitch to become available until we realised that you are supposed to vacate your pitch by 11 am. This rule was being completely ignored by many campers and the pitch booked for the other member of our party was still occupied at 12.45!
The weather was extremely wet when we arrived and pitches were in a poor condition. The pitch we were allocated was bare mud which is not good when staying in a motorhome. We asked for an alternative pitch but none were available. The site clearly do not have a pitch management policy and worn pitches are used over and over which is not acceptable.
We were also concerned about the lack of rules in place (which are sometimes necessary). We were surrounded by pitches that had multiple vehicles parked on them, the record being FOUR, this did not help the condition of the ground and made the site look unattractive. There did not seem to be any speed limits in place either.
Many pitches also had an assortment of gazebos, additional tents and even small marquees giving the impression of being at Glastonbury not a four star campsite!
The facilities were fine but stretched and muddy and wet due to the weather.
We were disappointed that the site was not how we remembered it as the setting is beautiful. We will also not accept the excuse that 'It is the school holidays' as you pay a premium for high season so you should not accept less.
Come on Inside Park' get your high standards back!

As everybody has said - this is a great site - as with everything there are always good and bad points but don't let that put you off as you will have a hard job to find a better site than this
The play ground is excellent to keep the kids amused - the only bad point I would say is we were pitched right next door to it and whilst the campsite try to adhere to the playground opening at 9am and closing at 9pm it isn't difficult for the kids to jump over the fence when they have gone and carry on playing with it - most nights they spent 20/30 mins trying to get the kids out. Quite often the noise from the playground carried on until after 10pm - We did mention this to the owners whilst we were there and they are trying to address it but without the help of parents of the children it is difficult.Avoid pitches 26 and 27.
Plenty to do in the area and the short walks into the woods are very pleasant.
I couldn't complain about the showers - some others in our party did have problems with the water pressure but if you got up early like I do no issues!
We are considering going back already but would be more selective with our pitches now we know the layout of the site

I was extremely impressed by this site, everything was spot on from the moment we pulled up and was given a warm welcome and directed to our pitch by a guy on his push bike and receiving all the info needed.
The site is made up of one single block which includes ample showers, toilets, laundry, reception/shop and games room which has been housed in an old refurbished farm house/ barn. But short walks through the wooded areas brings you straight to it. The main field has a valley feel ie gradually slopes into the middle, but didn't seem to put any one of. We was off the main part, nice big pitch in a cul de sac surrounded by such great wooded areas and amazing trees. The play area is the biggest Ive seen, lots to do with a small football pitch behind it, which meant not seeing the kids for the day until it got locked up at 9. To be fair we had some good weather for them to enjoy the equipment.
Showers were modern and always clean with ample hot water and even had tap style handles so you wasn't pushing a button every minute. As this is kind of remote place, there are a few walks to be had in and around the site. There is also a Thai van which serves food twice a week and also a fish and chip van which pulls up twice a week which done one of the best fish and chips I've had in ages.
Locally there is the town of Blandford Forum which is a Georgian town with all the modern shops connected to a small town, also there is a Tesco superstore too and a brewery.
Loads of stuff to do in the area, we managed Monkey world, Bovington Tank Museum, Weymouths Sea-life centre, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove plus a day at Sand Banks which are all recommended.
This was such an enjoyable stay, my kids have made me promise to return back to this site next year. That speaks for itself. Recommended if you are touring the area.

We just had a fantastic week at this family friendly site. We were in the main camping field within sight of the very popular playground. Our 8yr old son had 'the best camping trip ever!'.
It was very very busy and because of that we often had to queue for the showers and they did have water pressure issues but as I said it was very busy. Saying that the showers were always clean.
Even though it was busy the site didn't feel crowded and most nights was peaceful by 10pm.
I can only repeat the other reviewers of this site it is a wonderful family site.
When we left we booked for the same time next year and we weren't the only ones.

We stayed at this park at the end of June where we were rewarded with exceptionally good weather. The park is not easy to find as the Sat Nav didn't like the postcode. So take the directions from the site itself. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown to our two side by side pitches with our friends, the pitches were secluded and reasonably level, the rest of the site isnt necessarily the same ! The kids play area safe and well thought out. Facilities are of a good standard, hot water, clean and well looked after. The shop is small and functional (Use supermarket in Blandford). We had allowed the children to wander freely through the woods but did find ticks on all of them so be prepared for that ! apparently a well known local problem.
Irrespective of that I would recommend it as a great touring base due to its central location with lots to do around it. We will go back again.

I have to say I agree with a previous reviewer (JulesPhillips) and say that I was disappointed with the Inside Park - after reading all the positive reviews on this site I was expecting great things. Our pitch was in the woodland area, slightly off the main field, and was in very poor condition, having no grass at all anywhere near it, it was bare earth covered with sticks and the leftovers from the last inhabitants.
There certainly didn't appear to be any pitch maintenance going on, just one in / one out all the time. I also agree that the site did tend to resemble a festival site or gypsy camp in places, as there were pitches with umpteen cars, vans and additional gazebos and whatnot on them - and as the pitches are all higgledy piggledy it seemed worse somehow.
The main field was really quite big and really quite noisy from what we could see, and at the top part was on such a hill it looked positively uncomfortable.
The play area was constantly overflowing with older kids going a bit wild, so wasn't really suitable for younger kids. Some of the language I heard in the vicinity (from the kids, I might add) was a bit choice to say the least.
On the plus side the facilities were pretty good, plenty of showers and loos, and the staff were friendly. THe location was also nice, Blandford's a nice little town and the site is well situated for lots of places on the south coast.
On the whole it wasn't the site for us, too noisy and hectic, and poor quality pitches.

This was our first camping trip as a family with 2 boys (7 and 3 1/2) and we had a fab time. Nice big field with central play area which we were close enough to to be able to keep an eye on the children playing but not too close, although we did have people cutting through our pitch, and each pitch gets a wooden picnic table, but the pitch next to ours felt the need to have 2 so we didn't get one!
A nice little shop, good wash up area and good toilet and shower block. Never queued and kept clean. (except on rainy days when pathways generated lots of sandy mud to traipse in! ) thank goodness for crocs!
Nice table tennis / pool area good for rainy days and regular food vans on site ( fish and chips / Thai etc) all well advertised.
Is described as a touring site but many (including us ) were not touring and is a nice open site that allowed fire pits and had lots of natural wildlife (came face to face with badger on late night loo trip! ) and could hear owls swooping over tent!
Easy access to surrounding areas. Great site.

Fantastic campsite, great reception. Good well kept and clean facilities. Shop, games room. Park suitable for older children as well as smaller children. Lovely pitches located in natural settings (not regimental lines)amongst trees, surrounded by woodlands and cycle paths.
Away from main roads, so very safe for kids. Kids enjoyed the site so much it was hard to pull them away. Football pitch with lots of other children all eager to play too. Tried out all the cycle routes - 2 through woodlands and a bit of rough terrain and 1 nice gentle route (just my sort). Staff very pleasant and accommodating. We had great weather so didn't suffer muddy ground.
Really recommend this family friendly site. Like to try different areas for camping and rare to revisit same site twice, but this one would be an exception if I wanted to visit the area again. Local town very nice.
Take-away vans occasionally visit the site. Plenty of restaurants in nearby town. Large Tesco a couple of mile away. Had to travel about half hour to beaches, but plenty to do around the area.

This is one of those child friendly sites that score 10/10 because they provide fantastic facilities and make sure there is a dedicated area for kids to enjoy themselves without disturbing other campers. There is a very well appointed play area and, next to it, a football pitch. So there's no excuse for children kicking balls into other peoples tents / equipment.
Some of the site is on a slope, but that did not seem to bother those camping on it. We ended up with a massive non-EHU pitch on flat ground.
The toilet/shower block is modern, clean and a pleasure to use. There is a reasonably priced, well-stocked shop and a useful information centre.
Customer service is excellent and there was a very friendly 'feel' to this roomy campsite. Other campers respected this and there was very little noise around bedtime.
The site is in a beautiful setting and well-positioned for exploring the surrounding area and attractions. If you like walks, campers are provided with a map of walks around the neighbouring fields and wooded areas. The routes are well signposted and I have to say were an unexpected attraction of the site that we thoroughly enjoyed.
Lastly, we thought that pricing was extremely good value for money; there are a lot of sites that charge more for less.

We are a young couple without children and still enjoyed this site! Although we stayed in the smaller area away from the main field which was perfect for us. If you have children the main field is great as it has a large play area and completely open so you can watch the kids safely. If you are like us and prefer to leave the families to it then the smaller area (pitches 60-80) are perfect. We had a large pitch, it was relaxing, peaceful and we didn't want to leave!
The weather was amazing and the location is brilliant. We went to Monkey World, Swanage, Cerne Abbas, Weymouth, Lulworth Cove. All amazing places and in quick easy reach from the campsite. The toilet block is OK and enough space / showers for all guests, plus plenty of hot water. The weekend was busy but we didn't have to queue.
The washing up room is good, lots of sinks and hot water. There is also a washing machine and dryer plus a games room with table tennis, pool table and lots of leaflets for attractions near by.
The bad points: Main field has a large slope, this didn't effect us but we would have been disappointed if we were allocated a pitch on the slope. Not great in a tent!
The shop didn't open until 9am-ish which we thought was late for a campsite shop. Most people are up by 8am and we had to wait around one morning to pick up our ice packs from the shop before going out for the day. Worth remembering if you need to make an early start.
Overall good site and we really enjoyed our stay!
