This must be the 4th year we have come to Inside park. We always go in the half term and my son has made lots of friends with other regulars who camp during the same week and have kept in touch!
This year they rang us to make sure we were going again. That's the sort of place it is. Very friendly with a sensible noise policy so all the little ones can get to sleep without loud noises and music to keep them awake.
Many people have fires and barbeques. There is a well stocked Tesco a short drive away but the site shop is well stocked and not too expensive either.
The showers are always clean- at one time though they did clean them at 8am which was a busy time for us Mums queuing up to get a shower before the men woke for breakfast.
The showers are split into two sections, so when one section is cleaned- you have access to the other half! this was a one off- never saw them cleaned at this time again! the queue was 13 ladies long.
It wouldn't and hasn't put me off- I can't wait to go again. The staff are always friendly. Yes you do get the ticks issue but they are easily removed.
It gets busy at certain times- so book early. It really is a bit of heaven away from all the hustle and Bustle. Walks are fab. Lamas in the near fields, lots of native wildlife.
Oh and A tv monitor in the laundry room which views the inside of a birds nest.

This was our first visit to this site and the whole family (inc 2 young children and a dog) were very impressed.
We stayed on pitch 88 which was away from all the hubbub and very peaceful apart from 4am when the birds wake up! All facilities were marvellous and owners/ staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The woodland walks were fantastic, we only got lost once a day! But,a word of warning, make sure you have your tick removal tool with you if you do go into the woods. My dog picked up rather a lot (20+) in the 4 days we spent here although thankfully myself and the children didn't.
All in all a lovely campsite that we may well visit again

We spent a week at the Inside Park on pitch 66 which was sheltered from the wind. The site is well laid out with good facilities.
The children just disappeared to the playground or in the woods.
The site is central to the many attractions in the area. Owners were friendly and helpful. They found my son's fleece when he has lost it. Never needed to wait for the toilets or showers.
Nice cycle trails near by from the site. They did a hog roast on the Friday night.
Blanford Forum has a large Tesco's and Morrisons & an Argos. We had a Chinese take away from China China which was good.
Good walks from the site or in the local area. A really nice week with good weather would definitely go back there.

It seems everything has been said already. All that is left is for me to agree it is a four star site.
We were on pitch 6 alongside a high hedge and opposite the facilities block. This is a small area for 7 `vans and gives the impression of being a self contained, cosy park separate from the main park.
If you prefer to be close to facilities then pitches 1 thru`6 are the place to be. Very quiet at night and as flat as you will find almost anywhere.
The wind was a blowing for our visit and the hedge was most welcome as a windbreak.

A really good site, we stayed for 5 nights on pitch 15. The great thing for us was that we could see our young daughter playing from our tent in what is a quite fantastic playground. I'd imagine that it could become quite noisy during school holidays but it was certainly quiet outside this period.
Quite a few of the pitches are on a relatively steep gradients - pitch 15 and the pitches around that area are about the flattest at the site and the site looked in good condition. The showers were clean and there was plenty of hot water. It was quiet when we visited and there was certainly no need to queue.
We really liked the location and tended to get out and about a lot. MonkeyWorld, Peppa Pig World and the fantastic beaches, cliffs and sea are all relatively close by (all within about 45 mins). However the site itself is so nice that I can see why people are quite happy just spending time there, and there are some good walks through the woods and surrounding countryside.
If it wasn't for the fact that we like to mix it up a bit then we would go back. Highly recommended, but be careful where you're allocated if you're in a tent, otherwise you'll end up in a pile at the far end of your tent in the morning if you're allocated a sloping pitch!

We visited this site from 29th April to 2nd May - two adults in a touring caravan.
Pros + The site is obviously well established and generally well run.
+ it is peaceful and the setting is pleasant.
+ 'Free' hot water is always a plus.
+ an extremely well stocked shop.
+ helpful and efficient staff.
+ lots of play equipment for kids, and quiet in the evenings.
Cons - There were not enough working showers. Even queues in the Mens!
- there are no pubs within walking distance.

Brilliant site, there are 3 areas of pitches, one being a dog free zone, one being a family area with a large play area for children and the third being a lovely secluded area surrounded by trees and very sheltered.
There is only one block for facilities, but the showers are lovely and hot and you do not have to worry about keep having to push the button and are spotlessly clean, but with lots of different paths it is not very far away at all.
Lovely dog walking area and very easy to find.
Will have not hesitation in going there again and are also happy to recommend

We were here for Easter with friends - pitches 65 & 66 in the Woodland area - next time I would choose the main field (at the opposite end to the playground) but only because those pitches were totally unshaded - where our pitches were, we had to follow the sun around the tent due to the shade from the trees!
The upside to this though was there were very few children in this area so it was lovely and quiet! If you want peace, and some shade for your dog, choose a pitch here and you will be delighted.
A fantastic campsite - one of the nicest I've visited. Clean, spacious pitches, good showers and toilets with very little waiting despite the campsite being full as it was bank holiday. Showers were hot too! Large indoor washing area for dishes too - again very spacious.
On-site shop sold all essentials and the local village of Blandford has a big supermarket and lots of little shops to get supplies from. Shop could do with being open earlier and later - and selling newspapers would be a nice touch.
Fantastic Sunday lunch had in the pub in the village just before the river. It has a lovely secret garden at the back too.
I would recommend this to anyone - we never ventured out apart from popping down to the village for a wander, as the weather was superb and we just wanted to enjoy the camping, but there is loads nearby to do if you need to entertain anyone in your party!
You can walk straight into the surrounding woodland, and we saw loads of children playing throughout our stay - very family friendly if this is what you need. Can't recommend highly enough

We have just spent 4 nights at this site.
We arrived late on Thursday (8pm'ish),a member of staff waited for us to arrive and then showed us to our pitch.
As we arrived late our plan was to pitch our Vango Juno Tepee (15 mins max set-up) and pitch our large family tent on the Friday morning.
First impressions of our allocated pitch were not good - we were in the 'woodland' area rather than the main field which IMO did seem to be more cramped. Our pitch looked as though it had been used as a short cut for all vehicles in that area and was in a very poor condition.
After pitching the tent we went to explore the site/check out the facilities etc, when back at reception one of the owners was there and after explaining our predicament with the pitch he couldn't have been any more helpful - he said he had a couple of pitches he kept 'in reserve' and we were welcome to move either that night or when we pitched our bigger tent the following morning.
We decided on the latter and moved in the morning to a far nicer pitch - still in the woodland area but loads more room/better grass etc.
We found the facilities very good, in particular I was very impressed at how well lit the main paths were down to the toilet/shower block (this being a very rural site the rest of the site was very dark at night!) The toilets/showers were very clean at all times (loved the fact they didn't have the showers that turn off when 'your time is up'!). Chemical disposal again very well cared for.
Loads of lovely places for our dog to go around the site.
I know it's already been mentioned before, there didn't seem to be any order as to who went where on some areas of the park - I personally prefer the sites that are more regimented so everyone knows their 'boundary' etc.
A large Tesco shop/petrol station is about 5 mins away by car.
In nearby Blandford there are many useful shops and the lovely '1/2 crown cafe' in which we had an amazing breakfast baguette! also lovely fish n chips from 'Long Johns' fish bar.
All in all The Inside Park is a lovely site set in peaceful surroundings with very helpful staff which I am sure we will return to in the future.

I called on Monday morning and was able to book a pitch for the following two nights. I have become braver over the past year or so and am enjoying taking my three children away on my own. The older two 12 and 11 are getting more able at helping me pitch.
I had purchased a new tent for the occasion as our family tent is a sungari 600 which really is too big for just a couple of nights, previously I had used pop up tents. My vango icarus 600 was the tent of choice and off we went.
The campsite exceeded all my high expectations. Lovely reception area built around a court yard. All of the campsite was lush, green and very clean. Grass very well cared for. We were designated pitch 44 which was great, flat, near all facilities. It can be difficult to tell where a pitch starts and finishes and I think in high season you may need to be a bit territorial as there are no restrictions on gazebos, pup tents etc.
Toilet block fairly clean, although I did suggest to them that stuffing loo roll holders too tight was the result of lots of bits of wet loo paper all over the floor. ( High maintenance I know!)
Plenty hot water, showers good and lots of space in each cubicle.
Dishwashing facilities under cover and well laid out, huge laundry as well.
Nice hall with table tennis x2 pool x 3 and a table football. Small shop.
Play park is fab, cycle friendly around park and a good footie area.
The forest walks are brill, we all did the yellow route which having took a wrong turning was around 3 miles, but even my 7 year old loved it.
This campsite was really relaxing, once I had the tent up, the kids played and I read my book. However it did make me laugh the amount of noise from the wildlife. It was worse than being in an aviary, but so refreshing and a very pleasant kind of noise!
We loved this place, the kids nagged me to rebook for a long weekend in summer, which I have done, another good thing is you can specify your pitch, going for 85. May have to bring the husband next time. Highly recommend, you couldn't fail to love this place.
