Great campsite! Very well laid-out and equipped with all the facilities of a 'posh' site but without the snobbiness and endless rules. The site is lush and well maintained, surrounded by woods and is very reasonably priced! The site is truly beautiful and the staff are quite laid back and easy going. There are quite a few sloppy pitches and the facilities were not as clean as I have seen elsewhere (but then again it was raining a lot and it was busy when we were there). I 'd gladly go back there.

Enjoyed our second visit here even though the weather was pretty poor. As usual all the staff were very helpful and the amenity block was kept pretty clean considering the bad weather and the amount of people using it, showers were hot and water plentiful with not a single silly push button in sight. Pitches here are pretty generous with a good mix of tents, caravans and motor homes. There are a few Rules to follow but generally this is the most laid back site we have come across. Once again the play area which must be one of the best in the country for a campsite kept our little one amused all the time we were on site. We again took in some walking around the adjacent land and woodland, wellies and waterproofs were needed but definitely worth it!

What a great site - by far the best we have visited so far. The site is spacious and very clean. Showers have plenty of hot water and were always clean.
The owners were really helpful giving us plenty of useful information about the local area. Unlike the previous review on here we were shown to our pitch and they explained how we should position our van - it is worth mentioning that the pitches were huge!
The play park is huge and plenty for all age groups and is closed at a good time so that it is not noisy at night. The cycle/walking routes were really good - can highly recommend the Yellow route for a bit of mountain biking fun.
The showers/shop/chemical waste area can be a bit of a trek depending on where you are sited but still not a problem.
All in all a highly recommendable site.
Happy holidays all :-)

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at The Inside Park - this is a great site let down by 1 thing -
First the positives - the site is relatively quiet aided by the owners locking the play park from dusk till 09:00 and this play park is huge - by far the best we've seen in 5years of camping and caravaning and is supplemented by a large games room with 2 table tennis tables, 2 pool tables and table football - this is also the place for free on-site WiFi. The site was very clean, with bins emptied regularly. The toilets are excellent - clean and plentiful even with a full'ish site, the water in both the showers and washing up was almost too hot. The washing up facilities were plentiful and well thought out and include 3 washer/dryers in the same area. The on - site shop contains all the last minute essentials needed, particularly in the knowledge there is a large 24hr Tesco within 10mins drive. The toilets, washing up, chemical emptying, shop/reception and games room all located at the entrance were a bit of a walk but achieved within 5 mins. The site is a bit hilly as can be seen from their own photos but they have tried hard to site pitches on flat areas and this creates areas of space between rows of caravans/tent pitches. There are 3, well signposted walks for people with dogs and those who wish to use mountain bikes. The site is well situated - the Bovington Tank museum is a must some 30 mins away.
However and this is the only negative - possibly due to the slopes, all the pitches are close together in groups on the flat areas. Please don't misunderstand me there is plenty of room per pitch if you set-up as indicated in front of your stake. But some people seemed unable to understand this concept - unfortunately because there was no obvious warden presence around the pitches - they just give you a pitch number at reception and let you get on with it; we saw, and had personal experience of families pitching where they wished with scant regards to other users personnel space. Simple monitoring by the owners or pitch limit markers as used on other sites would immediately eliminate this problem.
So all in all a great site - we will definitely return again.

We had a lovely stay at Inside Park a couple of years ago. We preferred to stay in the quieter part of the park away from the play area. Kids really enjoyed playing on the large variety of playground equipment.
Lots to do in the surrounding areas, we visited Moors Valley Country Park for a day, also Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door - fantastic walks over the clifftops.
The shower and toilet facilities are fine, cleaned out every day and not too busy when we stayed. Owners friendly on arrival. Small shop with basic food items and a few toys for the kids.
We plan to return soon now that we have a brand new campevan!

This is one of the nicest campsites I have used in the UK. It is more like many continental sites in that the owners have taken the time and effort to think about things from the camper's perspective.
The site is a long way from roads so is quiet. The facilities are clean and plentiful. The showers have curtains so clothes stay dry and they are included in the price (I don't understand why all campsite showers have both of these). The toilet block is a little bit of a walk from the camping area which may put off some people but is better for others.
The big play area was a bonus for our toddler and there were quite a lot of children on site.
There are lots of walks in the woods around the site but there is little else in walking distance. Blandford Forum is about 2. 5 miles away on footpaths. There is plenty to do within a half hour drive.
There are no statics and plenty of water and electric hookup points.
As they say on their site, the SatNav postcode position is several miles from the actual entrance so better to check before you leave home.
It's relatively expensive but it's still better value than many cheaper sites because it's so well thought out.

We used to stay at Inside Park regularly when visiting the Dorset Steam Fair. We have been exhibitors at the show for several years now so hadn't stayed there for a while. We had a week after the show so we decided to go and visit Inside Park again, we had loved it. Had all the important things, good, clean showers and toilets, small shop for all the essentials and gas, and a launderette and a small games room. Plus it's only a stone's throw from the town of Blandford which has several pubs, restaurants and takeaways some of which deliver to the site.
The site itself is extremely beautiful, lots of huge trees and very nice well maintained grounds, we loved having breakfast in the company of over familiar pheasants and the odd squirrel.
Unfortunately on our last visit, whilst the sight looked almost the same there were considerably more pitches and a very large noisy play area.
No longer is Inside Park that restful oasis we remember, and not a pheasant or a squirrel to be seen, I guess like us they have been put off by noise.
The site is quite expensive but we considered it worth it, sadly I think this was our last visit.

Visited this site for three nights to do some walking in Dorset. Sat nav tried to send us through a private farm road so took a little finding. However, a little pre-research on our part would have removed this problem.
Site was probably more aimed at the family market. Excellent facilities and play area. Also some nice walk/rides well marked out in the countryside around the site.
Our camping pitch was fairly level but some of the caravans around looked to be on sloping but manageable pitches.
My only complaint was that some inconsiderate *!&%^'&s stayed up till silly hour drinking and talking. I really think campsites should manage their rules and such inconsiderates better.
Acid test, would I stay there again? Yes but probably not over the weekend.

Fantastic park with loads of space per pitch and an absolutely fantastic play area for the kids. There are plenty of walks throughout the working farm although dogs are meant to be kept on leads at all times even when nowhere near livestock! Owners friendly enough and helpful too. Toilet blocks clean enough and plenty of showers etc, never had a problem waiting for one whilst we were here. Blandford Forum is very nice and only just down the road, all in all a great place to be and this is the sort of park that many people will probably return to year after year and that's why we have already booked a return.

Just back from a 3 night stay here. We were very impressed with the site. It reminded us of some of the Castels sites in France. We had a lovely pitch under an ancient cedar tree in the open part of the park where we got the early morning sun. The saint aires were excellent, always clean and the showers were the hottest I've ever experienced in the UK, and free!
The shop sold essentials items and basic food. The play area was well used by all ages. The site was well positioned for some of the main Dorset attractions. We would re turn.
