The tent spots were all on slight slopes the caravan/campervan spots all on flatter areas. Don't go in the school holidays if you don't have kids we got kept up with children on the play area and then woken in the morning with the same ting. Showers and facilities were good and staff very helpful and friendly definitely one for families. Would visit again outside school holidays.

This site is rather special. In fact I suppose we should keep quiet!
It seems strange to writing this review a year after our visit, but we felt compelled to do so, having visited another site not too far away, 12 months down the line.
We have to say that this is simply the best site for tents we have used. Of course we have never visited a perfect site, but this is the nearest so far. Other reviews about sloping pitches etc, are valid but weighing up the pros and cons, this site wins hands down. No fuss about gazebos, very large tents and other such nonesense.
First of all, the location is unique - rural, quiet, with lots of space for walks etc. Idyllic.
Then, the playground is one of the best I have seen anywhere, let alone on a campsite. Toilet block, washing up areas are adequate but busy in peek times. Shop OK, but pricey but never been in a site shop that is cheap!
Fish and chip van at peak season a real treat.
Blandford attractive and handy town. Don't miss out on the Purbeck area - Corfe etc. A drive, but this area really is fantastic.
This site will not disappoint.

Our first visit to this site, our second to Dorset and true to form it rained! The location of this site is quite secluded from main roads but only a mile or so from Blandford with pubs/take-aways/Tesco's ETC. The site is quite large, on former farmland surrounded by woods and with a former coach house providing the reception/washrooms ETC, pitch size is very generous although the slope does vary and the steepest would make comfort/access a challenge.
Its central location is a good staging post for Dorset and the surrounding areas. Although the site is marketed as quiet/relaxing it is popular with families(and has an excellent play park)the kids love playing in the woods ETC which is nice, but, on nice evenings the racket can go on until quite late! there is a small area in front of reception that I think is reserved for older visitors and is away from the play area.
The camp shop is well stocked with essentials and not too pricy, opening hours 9-6, booking-in was swift and efficient and we were shown to our pitch. Our main concern was with the washroom block, it is large and modern and thoughtfully laid out with showers and basins at different heights, however while we were there the cleaning left something to be desired even taking into account the wet weather and peak season, for example:there is a sign saying please wipe your feet and 2 mats provided but they were never changed/cleaned or even rotated, the shower controls were quite limescale encrusted to the point we were sorely tempted to buy a Jif spray and clean them ourselves, mops were provided for leaving the shower cubicles clean but the one I saw was a bit grotty and the loo roll dispensers do seem to shed a sheet on the floor for each one in hand that people cant be bothered to pick up, finally 2 of the soap dispensers in the Gents remained empty for 4 days.
There are about 13 sinks for washing-up but only 2 washing machines and one tumble dryer which was always in use. We would return again but a bit more attention in the shower block would have made a very good visit an excellent one.

Just returned from a wet week here.
Brill site ,excellent for my 3 little ones.
Play area and football field kept them busy most of the day and building dens in the woods for the rest of the day.Very safe this is the only site that I have let my children roam and play without following them.
Indoor pool room is good for the bigger ones and the toilets and showers were clean although very difficult to keep clean due to a lot of mud.
Pitches very large and the one we were on was up in the woods and most pitches are set up with picnic benches (nice extra touch)
Will go back again and again.

Our main holiday for 14 nights at peak season . More suitable for tents than caravans as the pitches are quite sloped requiring a lot of levelling blocks. However at least the pitches didn't get waterlogged in heavy rain. Generous pitches although some campers abused it by seeing fit to put up 9m X 3m marquees alongside there big frame tents.
Beautiful scenery, nice walks (albeit quite overgrown on the yellow walking / cycling route high chance of getting nettled / thistled & dog picking up ticks to boot .
The toilet block couldn't cope with the high volume of users toilet paper strewn all over the floor, showers dirty & hot water not available. Best time for a shower was 5-6 pm where you stood a good chance of the water temp being ok. Play park was very good , site staff pleasant & helpful. I would visit again but out of peak season. Plenty to see / do in surrounding areas & nice to spend the odd day chilling out on the site .

Wow - expectations were high having read the reviews on this forum but were far surpassed by the actual site and the friendliness of the campers and staff. Weather was awful generally however it didnt seem to dampen the spirits of the campers as the environment was lovely.
You need to choose the pitch well as some of them are rather steep and would be very difficult for sleeping.
Top tip - take a raised barbecue for evening fires and an axe or saw. All the deadwood is left in the woods and you are welcome to burn it for evening warmth.
Toilet blocks are well maintained and comfortable and you are in central locations for beaches and all sorts - its great for kids so get booking!

This was our second visit to 'The Inside Park' and once again we loved it. The site is beautiful, excellent facilities ( very clean) and for children the play area is just great. There is a well stocked and reasonably priced shop. Overall this ia a very good value for money campsite, just keep an eye out for the ticks!.

Had a great time everyone raves about the park and it is really good.
Spent three very quiet nights on this site when everyone goes to bed you really can not hear anything.
Facilities were good clean and well looked after, the site was busy and I never had to queue for a wash or washing up.
Great our three kids did not want to leave and really neither did we.

Visited Inside Park again in October at half-term and had a much better time this visit! Being only a third full rather than completely full gives much more charm to this park, with more space for everyone. The trees are beautiful and we did loads of walks through the woods. The children had a great time making dens and were out in the fresh air all day. Heard lots of owls at night too!

Just returned from a weekend away with the wife and kids, what an experience. An absolute must for families with children.
The play park was the highlight of the kids weekend, and to be honest, mine as well (Being an active father). Caution has to be thrown towards the younger ones (One of mine being only three) as one or two of the apparatus can be unsuitable for toddlers. There is also an inside games room with three pool tables, a table football table and a couple of table tennis tables.
The toilet and shower block is very spacious and clean as well as the washing facilities.
