We were welcomed by friendly, helpful staff and were shown to our pitch which was close to the river taxi. The site is bigger than we expected and good sized pitches. The ducks roamed the site looking for generous campers with bread and seemed to take up the pitch next to us in anticipation of their next feed! The cafe served a 99p breakfast which was 1 sausage, bacon, egg and toast which was plenty for me, but my partner doubled-up for a bargain £1. 98! The only criticism was that the new clubhouse was still being built, so we had use of the neighbouring campsites clubhouse which was quite a walk from our pitch and as my dad has arthritis, we only went there once to initially check it out. That being said, at least they provided temporary facilities and it didn't spoil our stay. In fact, we are planning to return again in future once the new clubhouse is finished. Perfectly positioned for Stratford itself and a Spar and take-aways not far in the opposite direction. Overall, a great site.

Second visit to this site. Stayed for 4 nights Fri to Tues. Weather dry, luckily! Very helpful staff, had a choice of pitches on arrival. Toilet/showers spotlessly clean. Great little river taxi into Stratford £1. 50pp one way. But if you prefer a stroll, a lovely 15-20min walk and you are in the town centre. This walk is made all the more interesting by having a good 'nose' at the houses along the main road, nicknamed 'millionaires row'! A 2min walk the other way from the site is the village of Tiddington, with a Spar, Pub, Chinese Restaurant, and wine merchants.
The site has a small cafe, with outside covered seating area (handy if you have a dog). The food is lovely, and the staff very friendly. The 99p breakfast is legendary, and you can 'double up' for £1. 98! Why would you eat anywhere else? It is cosy, and reminded me of going to my mums for lunch! Anne, the owner makes you feel very welcome, and is great for advice on local attractions etc. Unfortunately, they are being made to close at the end of the season, as a new clubhouse & restaurant is under construction. I would love to see the cafe kept open as well as the restaurant. It is far more friendly, better value for money, and you don't feel as if you have to 'dress up' to eat there - a caravanners dream! I think the management should reconsider closing Annes cafe, as many people we have spoken to will think twice before coming to the site again, if this facility is gone.

We stayed over at Riverside as my wife and I were both running the Stratford half marathon on the Sunday. We had pre booked some weeks in advance. This was a very straightforward procedure.
On arrival we checked in, again with no issues, and were guided to our vary large pitch. The guide gave a very comprehensive review of the facilities.
There is a long list of rules to the site. This might seem over officious but actually helped to make the expectations very clear. Some examples that changed our normal routine was the no pup tent (to store cases as little room in campervan) and no windbreaks.
We signed up to the wifi for our stay. It was excellent on Friday and allowed us to stream on demand TV. The site was far busier on the Saturday. As a consequence there was insufficient bandwidth for anything other than basic surfing. A disappointment for a paid-for service.
The site was one of the cleanest we have experienced. Toilet blocks and washing up facilities were spotless with copious hot water.
We used the river taxi to get into Stratford a few times but also walked, just 20 mins.
Overall a great base for our time in Stratford and cannot recommend high enough.

We can almost fully recommend this site.
The half term weather was very mixed, but the facilities were always clean and not overstretched. The Saturday pig roast was welcome, and the breakfast really is 99p.
The boat trip to Stratford was a nice change, but it is easy to walk back (about a mile). Turn left and the village has a pub (The Crown. Recommend the liver), a Chinese and a very good Bangladeshi restaurant.
There are loads of attractions both in Stratford and the surrounding area (advise National Trust membership).
The only downside was the strange disappearance of our yellow mud mats, left to mark our pitch. Carefully marked and numbered pitches would mean it was not necessary to leave such markers.
We look forward to a drier return and see the new clubhouse overlooking the river.

We visited Stratford over the Halloween holiday to do the town ghost walk and stayed at the river side park for the first time. The site is set back from the main road along a side road so no heavy traffic noises. Friendly staff on arrival who escort you to your pitch rather than have you wandering around with your van looking for a pitch number which is helpful. We were pitched at the back along the tree line which is a lovely spot however due to the extreme bad weather that weekend we thought we were going to be stranded as other vans were getting bogged in, saying this the owners were pulling the vans off the pitches if needed. More pathways would be beneficial between rows as the mud was quite deep around the van and the mud was being troden back into the van/awning which was a pain as the days went along.
We originally booked to stay 5 nights but unfortunately the weather was torrential rain all weekend making the field extremely muddy so we left after four nights purely due to the weather. Toilet and shower blocks were very clean and were maintained throughout the day. There is a little cafe which does breakfast which is extremely cheap but we didn't sample this this time but look forward to it on our next visit.
The little river boat which takes you into town was brilliant as it takes you straight into the town centre and takes around 10 minutes. A stroll into town from the camp is approximately half hour which we did quite frequently even in the rain. The new club house was being built at the time of our stay however the construction work was hardly noticeable and did not disturb our stay in any way and will be amazing when completed this year.
I will definitely be booking this site again as come the warmer weather the site will be gorgeous as it is truly riverside. There are a couple of swans on the site which are very cheeky and will tap on the side of your van until you feed them if you don't mind large birds (of which I'm terrified)all in all a great clean and welcoming site.
The town ghost walk was great, very entertaining. There is plenty to do in the town and Warwick castle is close by which is well worth a visit.

We originally wanted to spend the weekend here, however, after emailing the site we realised that they are very inflexible about arrival times – ie we wouldn’t be able to arrive after 6. 30pm (in October).
We turned up on spec about 5pm after a day out hoping we would be able to stay for just the one night (we did have a plan B!). Their initial reaction was that they probably couldn’t fit us in as they had very limited space due to many of the pitches being waterlogged. However, as we only wanted the one night they happily fitted us in.
The toilet block was very clean and the shower cubicles had a dividing curtain and a sink & mirror. We walked into Stratford for our dinner, probably about a mile, along the main road which was residential and well lit.
Everyone was very friendly and we had the 99p breakfast before we left. We will definitely return to this site to visit Stratford properly and do all the touristy things like taking the water taxi from the camp site into Stratford. Our only complaint is that they are not open all year with a few hard standing pitches.

Brilliant site for motorhomes!. Clean & very well kept. Very friendly and informative staff, well drained grass pitches (even when we had the remnants of hurricane Nadine!), spotlessly clean toilets and showers, cracking cafe!.
Used the cafe every day. Staff were very friendly, prices were brilliant. Breakfast 99p, 2 slices of toast 75p, incredible! Had a meal there on the Friday night, no complaints at all. Excellent prices at the bar in the clubhouse. Used the river taxi on a few occasions due to the rain and not wanting to get soaked walking into Stratford! only £1.50pp one way, well worth the money, and again the drivers were very friendly.
Only a 20min walk along the main road into Stratford, but it doesn't seem that long because you spend most of the time looking at the £1m and £2m houses each side of the road! A 3 minute walk in the other direction, and you are in Tiddington village. It has a very well stocked spar (licensed and lotto), pub/restaurant, chinese, indian, and a wine merchants (with free tasting on a Wednesday!). We didn't have to move the motorhome for the whole week we were there! The cafe will even let you order your daily newspaper with them, at no extra charge!.
A real gem of a site, will definitely return again.

We decided to buy a campervan this year & leave the tent at home. Off we went on an adventure. After reading mixed reviews on this site we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. We stayed here for 1 night on our outward journey. Then decided to stay another 2 nights on our way home. Shower/toilet block was ok. We have seen better but we are not complaining. The 99p breakfast was a must. Was disappointed we were not allowed to put our windbreak up.
Excellent location. Taxi boat was very good at £1.50 each way per person. Gave my husband a break from driving & no clock watching when using car parks. Will go back to this site.

Just come back from a lovely weekend at this site. I was very very pleasantly surprised, I was expecting something very low grade from all the criticisms that people have been reporting! The staff were over friendly, very accommodating! I was expecting a raged field from the reviews some people have posted! I observed the ‘normal’ rules such as ‘no ball games in certain areas’ or ‘no bbqs directly on the grass’ but these are to be expected, I’m really not sure what people have been complaining about.
The site was very smart, very clean and tidy and lovingly maintained. The pitches are slightly small but that didn’t bother us because we went with another couple, on saying that there is still ample space for your own van, awning and car. Our pitch was separated by a nice willow fence. We arrived early on the Friday morning and the staff didn’t have a problem with reserving the pitch next to us for our friends.
The 99p breakfast is ace, absolutely no need to take your own breakfast (note it is fried, not grilled!) but there is plenty of choice for extra items to add to the 99p menu or you can ‘go large’ for £1. 98 (which we did!) certainly set us up for the day!
The site is massive, other areas include statics, again all very neat and tidy! There’s plenty of field space for the kids to kick a ball around and a play area. Although we didn’t go into the clubhouse I saw that there was entertainment laid on on the Saturday night. There is a new clubhouse under construction, apparently £1.9m being spent on it, will hope to check that out on a future visit.
I didn’t use the showers myself as I prefer to shower in our van, but my husband used them, he said they were very clean, but perhaps a little dated. The boat service which is run by the campsite is brilliant, the kids loved it and what a lovely way to travel into Stratford (passing by all the posh houses) for a look around.
The town itself is lovely, so much to see that we didn’t get around to because there was a food festival on (highly recommended!) – there seemed to be ample places to eat and drink so I’d say you could just pick one without any worries or the need to pre-book. There is a pub in the village within walking distance (The Crown). One of the best things is the ‘hours’ that the weekend rate covered – you can arrive from 10am on the Friday and not leave til 4pm on the Sunday (all for just the normal 2 nights price) which makes it brilliant to be able to enjoy a ‘full Sunday’ as well, instead of rushing to get off your pitch! We had a fab day out on the Saturday at Warwick Castle, then the Sunday morning in Stratford. All in all, very nice and we’ll definitely be going back!
