This is a very nice large site situated about a mile from the tourist town of Stratford, nice walk along to road (taking in all the posh properties) or there is a very good river taxi service run by the site. The toilet and shower facilities are modern and kept very clean, there is a new pub / restaurant on site situated elevated alongside the river (a lovely place for a beer) To be honest although it's a large busy site it has everything you could want and is very well maintained by what seamed like an army of staff !

Initial impression was a very professional and well run site, booked at a busy time but felt like sardine in rows of caravans. A bit of a walk to the toilet block and chemical waste. Great river taxi service, great children's play area and crazy golf. Nice pub on site but dogs aren't allowed in and dog's can't be left in the caravan (club rules) so never got to try it out. Beautiful surroundings. About 1 mile from town.

An excellent site we found to be very enjoyable and relaxing.

The toilets and showers were plentiful and clean with a plentiful supply of hot water.

A river taxi service to Stratford Centre is good value and most enjoyable. This made for a stress free day visit to the town.

The on-site bar and restaurant looked fairly new and pleasant but our two night stop did not allow us to visit it.

The grass only pitches are large and we were shown to ours by a friendly staff member.

We enjoyed our short visit and felt it gave good value for money. We will return sometime in the future

To Find Site:- Leave M40 at junction 15 and take A429 in the direction of Cirencester. In about seven miles turn right at roundabout onto B4086 towards Stratford upon Avon. Pass through Tiddington village and the campsite is on the right opposite NFU Mutual. The site can also be approached from Stratford, once over Clopton Bridge take first left towards Tiddington and site in about a mile on the left.

Riverside Park is nicely situated on the banks of the River Avon. The site accepts touring units but not tents. The site slopes down from the main road towards the river and static accommodation is at the top of the site, no doubt to protect them from winter flooding. There are several touring sections near to the river on mainly level grass although it is a bit bumpy. The pitches are of a reasonably size and are marked out by the electric points which are fixed to high posts. Site staff accompany you to your pitch. The electrical connections are rated at 10 amps and use CEE17 blue connectors. Water points are dotted around the site but the only grey water waste disposal is next to the motorhome service point. The toilet block is of the older variety and whilst it is perfect clean and serviceable it could be improved by a refurbishment. Within the building is a covered dish wash facility and also a washing machine and tumble dryer. The site has a rather swish looking restaurant/bar overlooking the river which looks like a fairly recent addition to the site. It is popular with campers and prices are not too bad and the food good. They also do takeaway food as well. The building is on stilts and underneath they have a crazy golf course and adjacent to that a children’s playground. There is site wide WiFi which is not that cheap but gets better value the longer period you pay for. In fairness to the site they do give a fifteen minute free access a day which is probably enough to check e-mails. The mobile signal is good here as well so mobile data could also be used. Reception has a small area dedicated to local information. There is no on site shop but a few essentials are sold in reception. The site operate a water taxi service from a landing stage by the restaurant and the service will take you right into Stratford upon Avon. During our stay the cost was £2 each way for an adult which was actually cheaper than the bus if you don’t have a Bus Pass! I was surprised how good the pitch prices were if you take the Monday to Friday four day deal which worked out at a very reasonable nightly cost even in high season. If you show your C&CC membership card you will get an additional discount.

The major advantage of this campsite is the proximity to Stratford upon Avon which is about a mile from the site. The is also a footpath along the road all the way into town for those that prefer to walk. As well as the water taxi direct from the site there is a regular bus service from Tiddington village which is only a short walk from the site. The village has a convenience store, a pub and several restaurants. Stratford provides both cultural and retail therapy depending on your needs. If you wanted to see a Shakespeare play at the RSC it would only be a short taxi ride back to the site if you also wanted to enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants in the town. If you prefer messing about on the river there are also trip boats. Fishing is also free from the banks of the Avon from within the campsite but you do need a Rod Licence.

We enjoyed our stay at what is a pleasant but commercial open plan site. The reception and attitude of the staff was friendly and professional. The toilet block was good and very clean as we're all the facilities. The Riverside Bar was excellent value and quality both for food and drink. The river taxi in to Stratford is a trip to die for and excellent value. My only gripe was pitch privacy, not nice having someone walk so close to our unit, looking in that they walked into our aquaroll. Kids riding bikes around the site roads is fine but, riding in between pitches is not. Would we visit again? Yes, definitely but will visit out of peak season.

Second visit here, first time 2015 as 'paying guest' this time on a C&CC temporary holiday site. It's a fairly large site with holiday lodges, statics, cottages and pods for hire and three fields for caravans and motorhomes with hook-ups and one field without hook-ups for rallies.

There is one large toilet block centrally located (ralliers have to pay to use), water taps at various locations, one chemical disposal next to the toilet block along with a motorhome service point. The toilet block never closes for cleaning as this is done constantly throughout the day, which makes a nice change from club sites.

There is a new bar/restaurant complex on the river's edge, not an extensive menu but sufficient, a little expensive but good food and good portions. There is entertainment most weekends if you want it.

The site is one mile from Stratford town centre and the site provides a river taxi to take you from 10am to 5pm at £2 per person each way so you don't have to take the motorhome in (there is only one car park for motorhomes by the leisure centre which costs £4 for 4 hours). Stratford itself is a lovely town with the obvious Shakespeare touristy bits but loads of shops, cafes and restaurants galore, markets on Fridays and Saturdays and a craft market on Sundays plus the theatre.

Cost may appear expensive on the website but they do 7 for 6 and 5 for 4(midweek) deals and they offer 10% discount for C&CC members.

In the surrounding area there is lots to see from Cotswold villages and towns such as Broadway, Stow, Moreton in Marsh etc to Warwick and Leamington Spa and at least a dozen NT properties within a 15 mile radius. Startford also has a railway station which goes to Birmingham and Solihull.

Arrived Sunday evening after reception had closed. We were met by a pleasant gentleman driving a golf buggy, who escorted us to a grass pitch (with electric) in the touring field. He took a few details and as we had not pre-booked, told us to check in with reception in the morning after 9am. (How trusting!). This is an excellent site and everything is well set out and as it should be. Everything is well maintained and spotless, especially the toilet/shower block, which has heating and plenty of hot water. Cannot understand previous reviewers complaining about the push button showers only lasting for about 15 seconds a push. This, to my mind (being a hotelier) is an excellent method of conserving hot water. (I have lost count of the number of times I have entered a guest's bedroom after checkout to find showers and taps all in full flow, and I wouldn't think that, in general, campers are too different from hotel guests. We all should be doing our bit for the environment!

Touring field is close to the river and you are able to fish for free (during season) if staying on the site.

Particularly convenient is the regular boat service into Stratford Upon Avon, though you can also walk there in less than half an hour.

Only slight negative - clubhouse prices are a bit on the high side even after applying the discount granted to campers. (I think this is separately owned).

Overall this is one of the best sites we have stayed on and will definitely be returning in the very near future.

Met up with Wendy and Gareth our friends from South Wales here for a weekend Gathering.

Although the weather was terrible we had a fantastic time with excellent service fro the staff who provided help on and off our reserved pitches Great value for money too. We tried out the riverside club for our saturday evening meal with that's right you guessed it with great service and value.

We are determined to use this site as often as we can as it meets our needs very well with such clean and well maintained facilities.

Staff were great too.

Arrived and parked up and went into reception. Nice man booked us in and then we followed him to our pitch, which is in a field. Very regimented as another reviewer stated; reminded me strongly of being put on a cross-channel ferry. The toilets are very dated and needs to be overhauled. If the company that owns the site also owns the conference centre/restaurant, they could have saved loads by down-sizing it. It seems to be that the site is more geared to statics rather than tourers. Its basic, no food shop, although the village is roughly 10/15 minute walk. Another gripe, although this site is one of many, and its having to pay extra for your awning. When you pay for a pitch, it should include your awning as well. There are seasonal pitches, and these caravans are all along the hedges; you, as visitors, are pitched in the middle. There are no hardstandings, you are on grass, although its got good drainage, there were some skid marks from previous vehicles which is making a mess of the grass. Also, when we left the barrier was shut. This was at approx 11:30am, and is an overhead barrier. Because its never been shut the week we were there, it came as a bit of a shock. Thankfully, we stopped in time. Apparently there are tinkers about and one got in the small lay-bye in a van. They never informed any of the tourers, as you need a password to get out. Will not be visiting here anytime soon

Stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. The owners are 100% dedicated to making sure all is ok for your stay, the site is kept very clean, we had a riverside view and is was lovely.

We did have a drink in the Riverside Bar the first night, its very popular.

Lots to do in the area. We especially enjoyed the visit to Anne Hathaways Cottage and Mary Arden's Farm.

Stratford itself is a lovely place infact we are visiting again with friends soon to do a bit of Christmas shopping for the day. But also planning another stay on the site next year.
