When we arrived we were showed to our pitch. The warden was very pleasant and helpful. The fields were still a bit boggy in places, but caravans were kept off that part of the field. The site was very well kept and the cafe was value for money. The only down side was the park for the kids was on the sister site which was a bit to far for the kids to go to on their own. We will definitely be going back again.

Perfect - the approach is past some beautiful homes and close to town centre. Fabulously peaceful site with no facilities so children have to amuse themselves which is what camping is all about! Shower and toilet blocks immaculate with free hot water and plenty of space. The on site shop / cafe has limited but clearly noted hours and is perfect for light meals and snacks.
The best thing for us was the water taxi into town - for a mere £1.50 each we had a lovely cruise past the backs of the lovely homes to the town centre and back. This meant we didn't have to worry about height restrictions with the motor home, or trying to find somewhere to park which is not always easy in tourist towns. There was plenty to see and do and masses of history of course.
Overall this was a fantastic site and we will definitely be returning in the future.

We stayed here for a week,it rained nearly every night so we knew that it would be muddy but that didnt ruin our holiday. We were able to put up an awning and a porch awning on our van so we took up more space but no one minded and we wasnt charged anymore for the extra space. It is a lovely spaceish site the only thing I didnt see was a sign to point to the kids park and club house which is in the next field. Cant wait to go back after Christmas.

Stayed for 2 nights, friendly welcome & showed to pitches. Toilet block was always clean, but the shower was so hot I couldn't keep under it. Wouldn't dare have let the kids use it. 99p breakfast was good, but tell them if you don't take milk because they put it in before they bring it out to you. The 'regulars' made us feel that we shouldn't be there & when we left a couple who came in after us immediately went on to our table.
The site advertises a play park & a club, but it is at the 'sister park' which is a bit of a walk & I certainly would not have let the kids go on their own. They had nowhere to play at riverside.
The site is ideally placed for visiting the area. We had a rare warm day which we spent at warwick castle, which was well worth the entry fee. Stratford is beautiful we had our meal on both nights at the brewers fayre next to the waterside. The service was wonderful. We also took a 1/2 hour boat trip which was good. The shops looked great, I only wish I had longer to spend in them.
The morning we were leaving we woke up to see that our caravan was basically an island, we were surrounded totally in ankle deep water & had 'fun' trying to tidy everything away, even the water hog was floating.
We had a problem hooking up to the car as the water was making the jockey wheel sink, one of the workers went past & never even offered his help!
In summary, we did enjoy our stay, but feel the site could do with a few tweaks here & there. Not sure if I would stay again, but please make up your own minds.

This would be a great site if they took as much care with the touring fields as they do with the attached static camps. Field was flooded most of the 9 nights I was there.
Toilets always spotless thanks to the polish cleaner who seems to be there whatever time of the day you go.
Breakfasts in cafe excellent, but move away from the set breakfast and it can work out expensive.
Would come back again only if the pitches were improved as it is ideally situated for Stratford, Warwick, and Leamington Spa.

Stayed for 5 nights at this site. First time I have visited and it will be the last. The site was a large field and all open, no privacy like the Caravan Club sites. It had been raining and the grass was very muddy with pools of water everywhere. The toilet block was quite clean considering how busy it was, but I have to warn people if they are going to empty their chemical toilet beware of the smell. I noticed some caravanners were emptying theirs down the toilet in the toilet block. Normally I would not be happy about this but considering the smell I don't blame them. I agree with other reviewees that the breakfasts at the cafe are good value for money and must be sampled. We visited the surrounding areas e.G. Coventry, Birmingham etc. So was not on the site during the day.

We have not stayed on this campsite ourselves but took my daughter / grandaughter and daughters partner last weekend for a 2 night stay. The site was lovely. My Daughter said the facilities were very good. Nice clean toilets / showers. The on site cafe was excellent value and real good cooking. The people were very friendly. The only downside was that it could have done with more outdoor stuff for the kids,eg swings / slides etc. There was all these on the other side of the park but you had to walk a fair way to get to this and the club / bar. They didn't use the river taxi but only because it rained. It is well within walking distance to stratford town, and wellsbourne market is just up the road aprox 5 mins drive. We were very impressed on our first sighting and plan to book a trip ourselves. Overall a really good site.

Can't agree more about this lovely gem of a site.Such a prefect location for statford. Had their famous 99p breakfast: sausage, egg, bacon and toast or a double for £1.98. Didn't cook for the 5 days we spent there as so many reasonable eating places and takeaways near by. Went to a great market at Wellesbourne on the sat, also car boots near by too. Toilet and shower blook spoless could have done with some plugs for the basins though. Went to the club house twice, beer prices reasonable, saw a great duet on the sat night, every one was very welcoming. We will definitely go back.

Stayed here for 3 nights during half term, the site was lovely and clean all the time, showers and toitets looked new with free hot showers. The weather was raining most of our stay and the site can get boggy in places as the river was rising quickly causing some caravanners who were near the river to panic and move their vans. There are no hard standing pitches all on grass so in wet weather take your wellies. The site is situated just on the outskirts of straford just a 20 minute walk and you would be in the centre. There is no park for young childrens but lots of pathways where they can ride bikes and open spaces to play ball. I had left my watch in the showers one day without realising and the next day there was a notice that a watch had been handed in, so thankyou to whoever was honest enough to hand it in. I would certainly stay at this site again. If you like fishing head for manor farm a few miles away there are seven lakes and great fish to be caught.

This is a really well situated site, it is ideal for visiting Stratford and it is also in a nice village with spar shop, pub (which serves lovely food), chinese & indian takeaways. The river taxis into Stratford were running and it was a lovely trip, but demand is fairly high and there can be a long wait. The hot water failed in the ladies on Saturday morning, so no hot showers, but this was resolved during the day. The facilities were spotless throughout our stay. We will definitely stay here again.
