Stopped off at Riverview for 3nights, to break the long journey from Cornwall back to Scotland. Was given an extra night free as well as discount for being Caravan Club/Camping & Caravan Club members. Reception staff were helpful and we were shown to our pitch by an an employee driving a buggy.
The site is level, large, and when we were there quite busy. Handy for the town if using the Water taxis, but on the morning we tried to there were too many people in front of us in the queue, so we walked to town instead. (about 25 minutes) Managed to use the taxi on the return journey to the site and the sail on the river was very pleasant.
Stratford a very interesting town, would perhaps go back some day as we did not really have time to see all that we wanted to. My Husband tried the famous 99pence breakfast and thought it was OK and good value for money.
We thought the toilets were very dark and gloomy, even in the daytime. Some lightbulbs not working. There was a male cleaner employed, but I only saw him a couple of times and he did not appear to do any cleaning, just came in to the block, had a walk round, and then went out again. Thought the toilets were a bit smelly and not properly cleaned. Could be improved.
That said, probably would return as it is a convenient stopover if on a long journey.

We stayed at Riverside Caravan Park on our way down to Devon. It is a convenient staging post breaking up the journey from The North of England to The West Country. I'm not exactly sure of the year we stayed. I think it was 2010, certainly within the last couple of years.
Previously, we had stayed over the other side of the river Avon at the Avon Caravan Park. The two are separated by a bridge. Now Avon CP is just for static caravans.
We didn't look for a play area, so potential visitors will have to make this enquiry themselves. Also, I think tents were allowed, but again; check with Riverside. Dogs, as I recall are welcome.
The Toilet and shower block were of a reasonable standard and clean. There is a small shop over the bridge at The Avon Caravan Park. Also a small shop/Cafe where they serve a super breakfast on a bun. The staff were friendly and helpful. The beautiful River Avon was just metres away.
One of the best things about Riverside CP is the water bus, operated from the site by members of staff. There is a charge for this service but its not excessive. This is a regular service running between the site and the town of Stratford Upon Avon and back. Stratford and the surrounding towns offer lots for visitors to see, especially with the Shakespeare connection. The town itself is attractive with lots of history to its name. There is a Tour bus, which is well worth using as they take you to Shakespearse's house, burial place. Ann Hathaway's cottage etc. Giving you lots of information as you travel.
Riverside is well placed as a destination in its own right or, as we use it as a stage along our journey to The West Country.
We would certainly use Riverside again and recommend it to other Caravanners.

Arrived on Thursday for a three day break, we were shown to our pitch by a member of staff who showed us where all the facilities could be found, the site was not full, but we were told that they expected to get busy at the week-end, which it did and was full by Friday night.
The pitch was a good size and we had plenty of room between the other caravans. One fault was there was only one waste water point on the site so you had to carry your waste water a long way to dispose of it.
The showers get very busy at times and the water was not up to temperature at times, also there was no children's play area which would be a bonus to some caravanners.
The club house is on an adjoining static site and is a couple of minutes walk to get there but nice facilities and a small play area adjoining the club.
The toilets/showers were kept spotless and the site is kept to a very high standard.
All in all the site was very good and we will be revisiting.

We arrived at riverside Friday afternoon for the bank holiday weekend. This site is very easy to find and we had very warm welcome from reception on arrival
We booked in and were taken down the drive where we were told all about the site facilities inc. the 99p breakfast, bargain, and then we taken to our pitch by a member of staff. Once we got our caravan established we decided to explore around this site.
We found the toilets were clean and maintained well could do with extra showers in the gents toilets as there was only 3 showers, and we had to get in early to avoid queueing, but it was busy due to a bank holiday weekend
There is a park for the children, very handy, a large field to play football. The on site food was a bargain with a small shop inside very handy. There is entertainment most nights with a happy hour for the drinks
The river taxi to town was useful and a nice relaxing ride into Stratford and back, wasn't running the one day due to windy conditions but still only a mile into town and the walk was nice
The site is very flat with plenty of water points at hand and plenty of room between the pitches.
The only problem we encountered was a power cut on the evening of one of the nights, but this only lasted for 10mins.
Local shop was not too far away in the local village, with a chinese and indian takeaway and a local pub, very handy
We visited the well know Welsbourne market only 10 mins away well worth a visit.
All in all a very nice site with a lot of amenities at hand and very pleasant staff who run it and we will go back there again during the summer months.

A fairly flat touring area alongside rental and owned statics. Useful if you have a tourer and want to stay with family or friends who want to hire a static. Bank Holiday booking allows a stay from 10am Friday to 4pm Monday.
Very friendly and helpful welcome, everyone is accompanied to their pitch and shown exactly where to stop. Awnings are allowed but no tents or windbreaks. As two couples travelling for a weekend together our two motorhomes were not allowed to have their doors facing each other. We were told they do not like to have awnings facing each other, something we have not encountered before.
The toilets were clean and kept that way (there are notices saying there is a male cleaner in the ladies in case that worried anyone). There were long queues for showers in the mornings, but then the site was full for the bank holiday weekend.
The water taxis were very popular but did not run if it was windy - which was 2 out of the 3 days. They are small boats which take 7 people at most and run every half hour so there can be a wait. It is a pleasant trip right to the centre of Stratford.
The cafe was open in the mornings, afternoons and evenings but closed at 4 on Sundays. The breakfast was ok, fried egg on toast with bacon and sausage for 99p, other options available including vegetarian and food can be ordered to take away. The adjoining static area has a clubhouse with happy hour and entertainment some evenings.
There are plenty of open spaces for games but, despite the numbers of people on site it was still a quiet and a relaxing place to be.

We spent Easter weekend at this site. We had a very warm welcome and were given the low-down of the site incl 'The Famous 99p breakfast' !
We were asked where we would like to be situated and we pitched up overlooking the river. The views were beautiful. But the children's playground was too far away for our son to visit alone.
The on site pub put on an Easter Egg hunt which was great for the kids.
The river taxi was not operating due to bad weather but the town was only 1 mile away so this was not a problem.
We ate in town as the village pub did not appeal to us. We must recommend the Indian Takeaway / restaurant in the village - fabulous food !
The only downside to our stay was the problem with the electric - the site had major problems keeping up with the vast amounts of units being used by visitors. So much so we had 3hrs of elec shut down on the Good Fri and then it cut off a number of times during our stay, the longest period being 2/3 hrs on the Sat eve (Not the best on a very rainy evening with a 7yr old - although we don't depend on tv - it was missed !).
The next morning a generator was installed on the site and the elec was back to normal. As a gesture of goodwill the site owners actually left us a coupon in our awning offering us a free drink each in the site pub.
Although we had this problem. We did not let it ruin our holiday. We would definitely visit again but probably during the summer months. Oh and the Famous 99p Breakfast is top notch !

We got a very very warm welcome from all the reception staff, they are great.
When we arrived we noticed we had a flat on the caravan, reception let me ring Green flag from their office, they also directed the man to our pitch when he arrived. The site is very good but we had bad weather over Easter and the Electric supply kept going off on the site.
The toilet block needs more showers, the showers they have are very good but you had to queue for them. The toilet block was always very clean, the chemical toilet disposal point needs bringing up to date, there is only one grey water point needs more. All the staff on the site are great always asking if you are alright, do you need any help.
The cafe on the site cooks first class food and very cheap, very very good indeed, this is a must.
Very close to Stradford centre where there is some great shops. We went on a 3.5 hour cruise down the Avon, we enjoyed a 4 course meal whilst cruising, good value for money.

Really nice welcome from Bev and Tarn and they were always ready to give local information tips. Loads of leaflets and info also in the office. We were taken to our pitch and told about the site, where everything was etc. All the facilities were always clean. Didn't use the cafe ourselves only to buy eggs but staff were really friendly and it always seemed quite popular.
Although close to the main Tiddington road into Stratford you don't hear much of the traffic and the site itself was always peaceful in a lovely setting on the bank of the Avon. Easy walk into Stratford along a flat road (footpath)which saves trying to find somewhere to park, especially with a motorhome. Loads to do in Stratford including the Shakespeare properties and the Falstaff Experience which is in a really lovely old building in Sheep Street, watch out for the ghosts! Market at the top of the town on Friday.
Would definitely use this site again!

A great location just only a mile from s-u-a. Staff were friendly and informative, we had a fantastic pitch overlooking the river. The site was quiet to which we enjoyed. Did not use the toilets or showers as use these in the van, adequate water points but only one grey water point and one very dated chemical disposal. The only negtive for this site is the amount of geese poo, being on the river there are flocks of geese (Canadian geese I think) and the grass is coated in large bird poo, this also smells in the morning and there is no avoiding it.

What a lovely site. We were next to the river near a little bridge. Fantastic price of £45 for 4 nights using UKCampsite offer. Plenty to do in the area and the river taxi was great and a peaceful way to get into the heart of Stratford upon Avon.
Staff very pleasant and helpful. Using buggies around the site, always someone around to help.
We were a long way from electric tower and hired a cable for £20 deposit, good idea.
One downside was goose poo, unfortunately they are very messy and we had a careful walk to the toilets!
