We stayed three nights in June 2009 and found the site to a high standard. We arrived on a Saturday which was very busy and the site was almost full. It was nice on Sunday when the numbers reduced which left lots of room on the large fields.
The site is on the banks of the river Avon. When the weather is good there is a nice walk by the river. When we set up our van, the warden informed us how much had been spent on drainage. It seems that the river sometimes floods the site. Fortunately, the sun shone for our entire stay.
The facilities on site were very good. The toilets and showers were well maintained. There were electric razor points and hairdryers available included in the £18 per night tariff.
There was a café on site which served breakfasts starting from 99 pence for sausage egg and bacon with toast. You could eat in, out or even order a takeaway breakfast.
It took about 25 to 30 minutes to walk into Stratford and about 10 minutes to cycle in. There was a pub about 10 minutes walk away which served cask ales.
There was a club house on the neighbouring site which was free to use. There was entertainment on Saturday evening in the form of a female singer. We noticed people heading for the clubhouse early in the evening, maybe to secure a seat or a game of bingo might have been on the cards. The club house opened from 7pm to 11pm.

This was a last minute, spur of the moment booking, so not sure what to expect.
Site surpassed all expectations for cleanliness, helpful & friendly staff including ladies in on site cafe who made my 7 year old son most welcome.
On arrival we were escorted to our pitch which was convenient for spotless toilets, showers etc.
Great walks along river with our dog & the river taxi into Stratford was fun,the driver even let my 7 year old pilot us back

We had a great time, could not fault this site at all (hard to believe but true ) .The staff were friendly and helpful ,the site was spotless including the showers and toilets. The playground is basic but does the job .They do run a river taxi from the site into the town which can get quite busy but it can be walked . We took a lot of food which we didn't eat because the cafe was great value ,must have for the 99p breakfast . Our sons had a ball just riding around the site on their bikes. Would recommend this site to all ages ,its just a shame they don't allow tents.

We visited this park over the weekend. The park is in a fantastic setting situated at the side of the river Avon and only 1 mile from Stratford.
You can take a river taxi from the park to Stratford for £1.50 each or it takes you about 20 minuets to walk into Stratford from the park.
The park has a small cafe that do a 99p breakfast and there is also a bar on the site next door with entertainment and prices from £2.00 a pint.
We found the wardens very friendly and helpful.
We feel the site is a little overpriced for the standards and have stayed at much better for far less cost. The grass on the touring site was very long and was covered in geese excrement, not good for small children playing. The water stand pipe on the main field was far too high up in the air to fill your water container,it had a pipe fitted to it but this was of little use and the excess water was not running away down the drain. The toilet block was clean and modern with plenty of hot water but there was only one shaver point in the mens toilet that did not work. The grey and chemical waste was a little outdated with only one on site.
We had good weather over this weekend and this made up for some of the negative points of the park and overall we enjoyed our stay.

We visited this site as part of a rally using the rally field. Tents are not allowed on the site but folding campers are. The site is beautifully located right on the river with a river taxi into town. The toilet block is better tiled than our own bathroom ! very clean and even on a busy weekend there were no queues. The cafe seemed very popular with a 99p cooked breakfast. The site was quiet and the managers available. There is a mile and a half of free fishing available on the Avon which looked good. It is within walking distance of town if you are feeling energetic.

Excellent Site. Reception staff really friendly and helpful. Get shown to your pitch, we were given a choice of where we wanted to go. We have two small children so needed to be away from the river.
The toilet blocks/showers were extremely clean, showers were abit too hot though, couldn't shower my little girl she wouldn't go under it far too hot. She loved the fact there was a toddler toilet though. There was also a baby changing unit and baby bath in the same cubicle.
The 99p breakfast at the cafe was brilliant value for money and lovely. Women serving a bit grumpy though. Reminded me of the WI, got the impression they thought children were a bit of nuisance.
The clubhouse and children's play area are on the adjacent site, took about 10 minutes to walk there. Nice though, only went once but there is entertainment on at peak times on a Saturday. Not too expensive either, and a really nice comfortable seating area. Play area not suitable for very small children.
The local pub, The Crown in Tiddington is walking distance and we had a lovely meal there, a nice big beer garden. There's also a chinese, indian, Tapa's bar and a Spar in the village. Stratford itself it brilliant, good shops, loads of places to eat and street entertainers. There is brilliant playarea at the Recreation ground.
We liked the fact we didn't have to be off the site until 4.00pm, gives the you day there.
Will definitely go back again.

We arrived on Friday night @ 7.30. We asked if we could have a river setting and they squeezed us in about 10 metres from the river. The staff very friendly and helpful. There is only one wash block which is fine but quite a walk on certain pitches. They have a converted static which is a cafe and you can have bacon, egg, sausage & slice of toast for 99p. During the day they have a river taxi which takes you into Stratford for £1.50. They have a Clubhouse which had entertainment and a TV room and lounge, all draught beers were £2.00 a pint mmm nice. There is a Cantonese, Indian restaurant / takeaway, Pub, convenience store, and off licence just a short walk into tiddington. This is our 3rd or 4th visit and I recommend it.

We've just returned from a lovely couple of nights at this site - we were lucky to have hot sun so no concerns about the site flooding! Amazingly they still do their 99p breakfasts which are great value. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. As mentioned in other reviews the shower blocks were clean although with 18 loo's and 6 showers in the ladies it would have been good to have a few less loo's and a few more showers as there was usually a queue to shower at about 9am but it wasn't a problem if we avoided this time. The shop is tiny and doesn't have many things, but that's probably because the site is for caravans only - tent campers usually like to see a lot more things available in a site shop! (We have only just upgraded from a tent this year!). When booking we enquired whether we could take a folding camper as it said caravans only. We were allowed to camp but interestingly we were the only folding camper on the entire site! The rules are quite strict which is no bad thing, but the one about not being allowed to hang washing out to dry was a little tedious, particularly after we'd all returned from the swimming pool! Wind breaks not allowed either although we didn't mind as the site was very quiet and we didn't feel a great need for privacy. Its about a mile and a half walk into Stratford town centre along the main road passed some fabulous houses, not a mile as we had read. River taxi takes about 15 mins and is very pleasant. We were disappointed there were no recycling facilities - just one large skip for all rubbish. All in all a good site and we will be going again. I would be anxious about flooding though if it had been raining heavily!

We have used Riverside three times now and it's a lovely site, has great access and the village of Tiddington itself is lovely to drive through.
The reception is small and welcoming, with lots of tourist information for the area and the warden escorts you to your pitch in his golf buggy. Plenty of water points around and electric hook up.
We visited all three times in the summer school holidays and have never found it overcrowded.
I can understand previous comments about boggy ground, but we are holidaying in England and we are camping and the site is called Riverside, what do people expect?
We always have a 99p breakfast and they are great value for money. Shop also sells basics and will order you a newspaper.
Walked round to the play area, kids rode their bikes around and we had a drink outside the clubhouse, went in to have a look around, it looked really nice.
Have taken the river taxi into Stratford and it's actually really pleasant(we did have fine sunny weather though!)Great to look at all the big beautiful houses that line the river. Queued to come back on the taxi, but could have walked, takes about 20 mins. Plenty of pubs in the area offering food if you wish to eat out.
We have had no issues with the toilet block, always clean, warm and tidy, and well kept.
Visited Warwick Castle from here and are planning to return this summer and visit the Coventry Transport Museum. The market on Saturdays at Wellesbourne is great for the bargain hunters among you, it's massive and offers everything.
All in all a great site, 5 mins drive from one of the top tourist attractions in the UK and the fees are not over priced either, this summer (2009)the pitch fees inc elec. & awning and family of four are £ 22.00, what more could you ask for ?
Highly recommended.

We went to the campsite in September and thouroughly enjoyed the weekend. We were really lucky that the weather was nice. Everything was clean and the staff worked really hard all day.
The area is spectacular, with canals and shops suitable for all. Other reviews mentioned before we went the 99p breakfast and I was looking forward to that. It turned out that the breakfast was great and I had the two for 1.98, very filling. The site is nice and close to the river in places. Fishing is free and there is plenty of space to walk and fish. One thing the site cannot control though is the weather, we were lucky, hope you are to, enjoy.
