July 2004 Nice site pleasant surroundings by river. Nice food in cafe only downsides being small shower block so always waiting for a shower at busy times of day. Pitches were crammed in a bit - we took a 6 man diablo and were put in a no tent field but had to set up with back 2 foot away from a hedge and front was just on edge of pebbled roadway (not very nice to get pegs in). Nevertheless enjoyed ourselves anyway

August 2003 If someone had told me that there was a campsite with nearly half a mile of frontage onto the Avon near Stratford I would not have believed them. However there is and this is it. The location alone is worth the visit.
However that is not all. This is a clean, well run camp site with attentive and helpful staff who make you feel welcome and wanted. We were on the tent area during a very busy weekend, 4 adults and 4 kids in two big tents surrounded by a lot of other tents. But it never felt crowded. The facilities are excellent (although I never discovered the bar until the night we left - my fault, not theirs). The toilets are very clean and spacious and there is an excellent, though small, shop and cafe. The campsite has its own boat running down into Stratford - very possibly the coolest way to arrive.
If you do visit and I cannot recommend it enough, then make sure you take the time to visit Warwick Castle. Trust me, you will thank me on two counts!

June 2004 We decided to have a holiday here as the kids were on half term and my husband works in Birmingham. The site was clean and tidy but what let it down was there was nothing onsite for the kids to do, the shop was inadequate for the size of the site, you couldn't buy a paper or a loaf of bread, we had to walk about a 1/2 mile to the local spar. I will admit if you are just a couple it is lovely to walk along the river and watch the boats go by. Plenty of geese and ducks to feed.

April 2003 Well we keep going back to this site time and time again what a great relaxing site, excellent facilities showers are kept very clean by a very hardworking group of housekeepers, cafe is great 99p for bacon sausage egg and toast what a bargain, and the kids love the trip into stratford by the river taxi where they can go into the butterfly farm or the wonderful childrens park located by the main car park. Staff on site are always helpful, cant wait to go again may 04.

April 2004 Had a wonderful long weekend at Riverside. Showers and toilets spotless and very warm with under floor heating. Washing up room modern with washing machine and ironing board. Club house pleasant with cheap drinks but sadly no entertainment whilst we were there. Easy walk to village and you can get most things there, a meal at the pub, indian and chinese restaurant, supermarket etc. Spent a lot of time in Stratford Centre. All in all a brillint site and have booked already to come back, really enjoyed it.

Sept and Oct 2003 This was only the second site we had been to as we are new to caravanning, but was so good the first time round we have been back. Theres a friendly welcome at reception, a clean shower block (very hot water), cafe/takeaway, clubhouse, riverboat to Stratford where there's lots to see and do, in fact all you need for a break, long or short stay.

june 2003 This was our very first camping trip and this site certainly made us want to go again. Large site just outside Stratford on avon at Tiddington.
It was quite busy when we went but there was still plenty of room for our tent and car. New toilet block with showers and hairdryers, clean and hot. Cafe on site and another cafe at Rayford Park, the adjacent sister park. Had a great breakfast there. You could also use the childrens adventure playground and clubhouse with evening entertainment.
In Tiddington about 10 minutes walk away there was a lovely pub called The Crown where we had a great bar snack. There is also a Chinese and Indian restaurant, newsagents and fruit and veg shop.
We used the sites small launch into Stratford too which took about 20 minutes and was a very picturesque journey. A great site, owners friendly and helpful, we will certainly be returning again next year.

July 2003 We thought this a very regimented site if you have a motorhome or caravan - they are pitched nose to tail in between forward facing rows of vans - no privacy at all. The tented area near the facilities was far too overcrowded -they certainly were not adhering to the minimum distance between units when we visited.
We thought the best section was down by the river - no hook ups - but much quieter and not regimented. However, there is only one central facilities block in this huge site so a very long way to the loo if you are down here and have kids.
The staff were very friendly, especially the guys who show you to your pitch. The cafe is cheap and serves great food and the boat trip into town is a useful service.

August 2003 We've just come back from a 3 day break at Riverside. We stayed in the tent with electrics area near reception. It was pretty crowded, with the larger tents overlapping guy ropes. They were fully booked. They had a toy tractor and train that the kids loved to play on near the shop and cafe. Toilet block was fairly new, but not at all clean. You have to hunt in quite a few cubicles to find a clean one with toilet paper - YUK. The staff were friendly and helpful - but very busy.
I reckon the site would be much nicer out of peak season. It was rather noisy, with people talking/laughing until the early hours, and other peoples kids waking up at dawn (4.45am). We didn't get much sleep. The non electric tent field looked much better, no regimented layout and much less crowded.
As you can guess I have mixed feelings about this site. Some good and some bad!

July 2003 We found this campsite lovely. We were in the touring field, parallel to the river. The toilets were clean and there were private shower cubicles with wash basins in each. There was also a tenters kitchen with washing machines, and an ironing board in.
On site there was a small shop/cafe which sold cooked food, a cooked breakfast started from as little as 99p
The site also runs a little riverbus into the town centre (max 10 people) this was really handy for going into town without the car, but found it much more difficult when we wanted to return (Beware, they will leave early if they have 10 people). Oh dear, 5.30pm on a Saturday evening and everyone else had the same idea!
I think you could also visit the club house from the next caravan sight, but we didn't make use of this facility.
We would definitely use this site again. It's friendly, clean, and the location is brilliant.
