I have stayed here many times, it is one of the most lovely sites by the river especially if the bridge is lit up, the river boat taxi is good but can be busy, café well worth a visit, staff on the whole are friendly and helpful, pitches nice and level, best ones overlook the river not sure how you get one of those I have always been placed under the trees which can give bad tv reception, plenty of places to visit,

Stayed here for 4 nights as they had an offer if you go on a monday and book for 3 nights, you get a fourth night for free.
We were very pleasantly surprised, this is quite a large site and quite strict on their rules but in my opinion that's a good thing as it was lovely and quiet, no youngsters kicking balls about and spotlessly clean. The toilet block was basic but well kept and the water nice and hot.
The site is right on the banks of the river avon where there are water taxis that takes 10 minutes or so to get you into the centre of Stratford upon Avon. They run every 20 minutes or so. On site is also a good sized dog walking area. Staff are very pleasant and very helpful.
A short walk back up by reception brings you to a bowls club which when open is very accommodating to holiday makers and the bar prices are very reasonable.
A 10 to 15 minute walk back up into the village brings you to a lovely village pub that serves excellent food and across the road is a Cantonese restaurant, Chinese take away and Indian restaurant and take away, a wine cellar and village shop.
All in all a great site and a great base to explore Stratford upon Avon, we have stayed here twice and plan on returning many more times.

Just returned from 4 days at Riverside caravan park Stratford on Avon. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the site is well situated just a few minutes from Stratford and the village of Tiddington. There is a cafe on site which does great breakfasts.
No wind breaks or gazebos are allowed due to health and safety and there is no playground or facilities for children.
There was only one toilet block on site with 6 push button showers in the ladies and 4 in the mens, it was in need of some modernisation and as there were over 150 units on site while we were there perhaps another block is needed.
There are a large number of mobile homes on the site including some in the touring area close to the river. Hook ups are on 5ft posts (presumably as the site is prone to flooding) and well lit but unfortunately at caravan window height.
Although there is a water taxi into Stratford it was not running. The internal access roads are in need of some attention.
Altogether a rather expensive site considering the few facilities.

I don’t like rules and so I should have taken more notice of the reviews before going. The site is full of them! Even pictures of burnt grass with the slogan “look what you are doing to our grass”. Hmm – it wasn’t me sir! The grounds staff are very miserable and rude I’m afraid. It must be part of their training from the owners with all their rules. There are no ‘grey’ areas at all – it’s the “rules”. I even pointed out to one of the chaps about the reviews on the web and he replied “I don’t care about any reviews”.
Having got the negative out of the way, this is a fantastic site in all other ways – they just need to develop some people skills. The water taxis are fantastic, although council rules only allow them to run two at a time. We had no problems though, even on a busy weekend. The breakfast is every bit as good as everybody says it is, although the rules say only one sachet of sauce each! The toilets are immaculate and are kept that way. It’s a shame that there isn’t really a walk or cycle route along the river into Stratford until you get about half way down the main road, but that’s not the fault of the site. We didn’t try out the club house because the pub down the road was so nice, although it does only serve food until 8:30, but they are very accommodating.
Although the the staff put us off, it’s such a nice location that we will be coming again.

Rules, rules, rules ! Even the ‘famous’ 99p breakfast café (that’s actually incredible good value for money) has rules posted!
The site forms part of a larger complex mainly dedicated to static units and bridges both sides of the river. The ‘Millennium Bridge’ spans the river Avon connecting both sites.
The touring area is located central to the site, laid out without any privacy hedges or screening. This leaves the touring area exposed and like a large grassed car park.
Toilet block/facilities block are clean but (despite being built in 2000) are dated. Shower area full wet area with either WC or wash basin and no hooks for clothes!
No site shop (other than gas sales) which is surprising given the site of the site, however Tiddington village only short distance from site with local Spar, wine shop, Deli, and Indian & Chinese restaurants. Tesco & Morrisons supermarkets located 2 miles away on the outskirts of Stratford upon Avon.
Stratford 1 mile away with delightful shops and RSC and Shakespeare tourist attractions. Water taxi runs from site with regular trips into town (£ 1. 50 adult, £ 1. 00 child).
Very busy main A439 located on opposite site of river provides surprising noisy constant background drown.
Site has large open field providing good dog walk and access to river that provides good kayaking upstream and down. No Wi-Fi availability on site.
Overall good location but very formal site and dated site with too many rules – not my cup of tea!

Got a 4 nights for 3 midweek deal which worked out @ about£11. 50 pn with ehu. That's not bad. You can get a cooked brekky on site for only 99p, but that's all its worth in my opinion.
A good flat clean site next to the river Avon, 1 mile from Stratford upon avon. You can catch a water taxi from the site into the centre of Stratford for £1. 50 which I would strongly recommend. Or walk in along a very affluent avenue with houses to die for, well posh!
No pubs close to site but there's a club on site which we didn't visit so cannot comment. Did visit the pubs in town though and they were very good.
Plenty of good shops to browse and a fiver for a taxi home, everyone's happy. Do take the time to visit the butterfly farm, it's awesome(use your 2 for 1 caravan club voucher)
The cotswolds is on your doorstep so take in the sights of these pretty little places while your here. Would recommend this site, it ticks all the boxes.

In a brilliant position for Stratford town via river Taxi or a short walk with Tiddington shop, pub and takeaways even closer.
A site shop that sells enough I suppose with what looks like a good cafe and it gets quite busy!
Lovely river access for a boat or to fish or just feed the ducks (or greedy Canadian Geese).
Shower block is always clean and tidy. A reasonably child friendly site with a good playground by the bar area, that is well away from the main touring site.
Everyone seems friendly and helpful but just a bit too regimented and why they insist on not letting units that actually want to face one another is plain daft, as is the no windbreak rules.
All in all a good site albeit to many silly rules.

We have just returned from a weekend at this site, and have got to say that on the whole it was a great weekend and a very pleasant site. Yes there were a few too many signs with rules and regulations on - but despite this we thought the site was friendly and had a nice atmosphere.
The showers were spotlessly clean and spacious (with hooks, a shelf, sink and a changing area). The toilets and washing areas were also very clean. Friends who we were away with did mention that on one occasion the showers were extremely hot, but we didn’t experience this ourselves. The site seemed more or less full, yet there was no queue for the facilities.
The water taxi from the site into Stratford Upon Avon is a great idea, however, as there are only two boats each accommodating seven people there can be big queues at times. We felt that there should be some sort of system to take a ticket when you arrive at the pickup point, or an advance booking system, as lots of people arrived after us and made it onto the boat before us! Each journey takes 17 minutes according to the staff who man the boats, and costs £1. 50 each way for adults and £1. 00 for children.
A slight gripe was over the opening hours of the pub – it opened at lunch time and closed at 4pm then reopened early evening, even on a Saturday. We wouldn’t normally bother with the pub at this time, but as there hadn’t been room for my husband and my friend’s husband on the river taxi back from Stratford Upon Avon, they walked back to the campsite and decided to call in for a pint en-route back to the caravan (thirsty work apparently)!
We didn’t sample the entertainment provided in the club house, but heard mixed comments about how good (or not) it was.
On the Sunday morning before departing we decided to try the famous 99p breakfast at the coffee shop – this consisted of one egg, one slice of bacon, one sausage and one toast. There was also the option to double this for £1. 98. It was good value and made a nice change to have breakfast cooked by someone else.
Our pitch was grassy and level – it was not the most spacious, but there was a generous amount of room between us and the caravans behind us. I have stayed on sites were caravans are back to back so it wasn’t bad at all.
In our opinion this site is in a fantastic location to visit Stratford Upon Avon, it is a bit pricey at £25 per night plus extra for children and awnings, but for a weekend visit it we didn’t mind paying this, and will visit for a weekend again in the future.

This site is perfect, Great position on the River Avon, firstly greeted by polite and helpful Staff. What an immaculate site, and the famous 99p breakfast
The river taxi into Stratford upon Avon is fantastic, there is cycling available everywhere, lots of it for the kids around the site and over bridges to other sites and a straight road to either walk or cycle into Stratford itself. Where for us the sun was shining and the place was full of atmosphere.
We cant wait to go back and could not see why anyone would have a single complaint to have about this place.
Dog walking fields fantastic, doggie bags, large pitches and the toilet/shower blocks cleaned constantly!

Firstly all the plus points and there are many
This campsite is immaculate, the toilet block is very spacious and always clean.
The wardens were warm and welcoming and very well orginised.
The cafe was excellent as you can just send the kids off for a full English and you don't have to wash a pan.
Excellent location, river taxis were great but very busy and because it was peak seaon there was always a queue which is only to be expected, very reasonable and certainly beat walking into town or trying to park the car there.
Negatives
Not really anything to do with the site itself as it is there to make money, but, regimented rows and rows of caravans and motor homes that close that you could hear them sneeze in the next van, doesn't really do it for me
I had a family with about 6 kids parked next to me but they were suprisingly well behaved but I was ready to pack up and go when I saw them arrive. On the whole most people were considerate and as we were at the opposite end of the site to the club house we didn't suffer from the rowdies full of vino and beer at 11. 30pm thankfully.
I would recommend asking to park away from it if you like an early night.
Right down to business- the fishing
As advertised access to 2 miles of the Avon
I'd gone to fish the river and fish it I did.
There is a stretch that was accessible by a nice path where the residents parked their boats but you did have to fish between them and there was a lot of weed that you had to do battle with but it was manageable.
The next field, still accessible over a little bridge with an opening gate, a few swims were fish able otherwise it was a case of making the best of a bad job and may the best man win, very weedy right across and if you didn't get a decent peg you'd need a very long handled net.
The next field- over the ditch, 6ft wide, 3 ft deep with mud and a single plank to shimmy across, be careful and travel light.
Similar swims, some easy enough to fish, some a bit more tricky, a lot of week to tackle but some nice big willows to fish under. Only one bull in the field ( he wasn't any trouble and kept himself to himself just don't chase his babies) and plenty of charming cows with calves
The next field- ha- by now your slightly jaded and wondering if its worth it, travel lighter still, over a gate that's tied shut with bale string so you cant open it, empty your trolley pass it over the top climb over then re load it- simples. Similar swims, a couple of accesable pegs the rest are best man wins and go with the flow and there only sheep and geese to contend with. I bribed my 13 year old to carry the gear and come and pick me up when I was finished.
Fish to the willows for the barbel and chubb, big hunks of meat, spam, peperami, cheese and spicy hot dogs, if its running clear, cloud your swim up and sit and wait. For roach, run through on either the pole or waggler feed hemp and fish hemp and tares, if its perch your after the usual maggots and worms and they are plentifull.
NB
Eel anglers- some good big eels in here that were comming out for just about anything, feed your swim up and wait they don't take long to come in.
You will know it if your being piked, the swims just drop flat on their faces, there are plently of big pike that will happily attack your keep nets so don't take your best ones.
I'm not a river angler and it was gin clear and 2 foot shallower than normal and I still caught.
If you need any advice ask the river taxi drivers they know the river inside out and fish it regularly, they were a great help.
If you can get to the weirs they fish the best there is one at the far end of town and one in the opposite direction
