Just spent 4 nights at this site. Good situation on banks of River Avon. Unfortunately it had rained all day when we arrived and also rained frequently when we were there so parts of field were quite waterlogged! Take your wellies!
Planned to go into Stratford on water taxi on Tuesday. Went to catch 11am taxi - arrived at stop just after 10. 50 and waited until 11. 15 but no taxi came. Told by fellow camper pitched nearby that the taxi had left at 10. 50! Told by warden that if the taxi is full it will leave early - perhaps a notice can be put up in these circumstances so that other people don't have to wait around in the cold waiting for a non-existent boat like we did! Water taxi costs £2 single fare. Drove into Stratford in our motorhome - parking available for motorhomes in Leisure Centre car park, at the rear behind the coach park.
Toilet block at site clean. Shower cubicles nice and roomy. Showers operate by push button which last less than 30 seconds, so showering can take longer than usual! Also, I have arthritis in my wrists and found having to keep pushing the button in very difficult. When the men used the showers in the evening they found that the sensor controlled lights went out before they had finished showering so take a torch!
The new restaurant on the site was very good - great value for money and very nice food. Were given a discount voucher for the restaurant at reception when we booked in.
Site handy for NEC - took us about 1 1/4 hours to drive up for the Motorhome Show. Also visited Batsford Arboretum near Moreton-in-the-Marsh.
All in all a good site. Don't think we would bring our grandchildren, purely because of the unrestricted access to the river from the site. Bit too much of a worry! Also, personally we prefer the privacy of sites which have hedges separating the pitches, rather than a couple of large grass areas with motorhomes and caravans set up in straight lines. We would also prefer a hardstanding, especially at this time of the year, but all the sites offering this which were nearer the NEC were already booked up so we ended up here. Would we visit again? We might. The situation beside the river was great, the restaurant was very convenient and offered good value for money and, had we been able to catch the water taxi into Stratford, it offers an easy and attractive way to access Stratford.

A really fantastic site.
Amenities were brilliant and our pitch was close to all of them.
Plenty of hot water in shower block which was really good.
The pitch was brilliant and at this time of year it was busy but still quiet enough to enjoy as the weather was brilliant.
Took a water taxi into Stratford which was £2 each and it made a nice change. There is a new restaurant and bar on site.
We tried the pub in the village which was ok, but Sturday we tried Aladdins indian which was superb.
All in all a brilliant site and would go again next year.

Just returned from Riverside its the best site we have stayed on, The new club house is beautiful it only opened in march this year it severed lovely food which we thought was at a reasonable price we also ate at The crown just a five min walk down the road which is next to the PO/spar shop, their is a bus stop in the village, We used the river taxis £2 each, Staff are nice and friendly, The shower block is clean and tidy but could do with underfloor heating their is one block for the whole site we never had to wait but not sure what it would be like when its peak season, We will be returning

What a lovely site and in an excellent location with the village only ten minutes walk away with a spar and pub and restaurants. There are buses to take you into Leamington Spa and Warwick ( very scenic route )too. Facilities on site are excellent nice new restaurant on site which isn't too pricey didn't eat there but had a drink all in all can recommend and would certainly visit again.

Our second visit to the site and we were very impressed by the new Clubhouse. However, we were a bit disappointed that we had lack of sleep on both nights we stayed. The first night, there was loud music until 2am. We presume from the clubhouse? The second night we were just nodding off when a group of inconsiderate people decided to scream, shout and laugh as loudly as possible until after midnight. Although this may not be the fault of the owners, we do feel that this should be monitored for future. Having said this, it's still a fantastic site and we will return next year.

Beautiful site, immaculate and extremely well run. Lovely riverside clubhouse/restaurant/bar. Five minutes walk to the local village shop with a pub next door which does excellent food, Chinese and indian takeaways - so close food is still hot if you walk back to the van. The piece de resistence is the river taxi to the centre of Stratford. Lovely boat ride - 2 miles cost of £2, means you can go into the centre, enjoy the scenery and the shopping and not have to worry about parking or carrying the shopping. Also, I was recovering from a badly broken ankle and still on crutches and in the showers there is a plastic stool in each - bliss! I took a small hand towel to sit on for hygiene reasons and it meant I could have a shower and relax. Water lovely and hot, showers are large enough to take the kids in with you. Cannot fault this site at all. Definitely returning, we did a week and were not bored.

Riverside is the ideal location for Stratford and the surrounding cities. The staff are very polite and helpful and we really enjoyed the river taxis and the stroll back looking at the houses. The new restaurant and bar was nice if a bit pricey but it is only a 5 min walk into Tiddington from the main entrance where there's chinese and indian restaurants and a nice pub which also does good value meals. You can also get the bus to Warwick and Coventry from the village. The shower block is clean but do not have private wash cubicles, you have to use the shower cubicle which have small basins in them. Also it is a large site and the laundrette has only one washer and dryer which is also used by the staff for doing bed linen for the lodges and statics which means long waits or do it when you get home(as I did ), one of the rules of the site is no windbrakes and if in a motorhome and you go out in it you have to leave a marker of some sort to say that the pitch is taken which is odd as you are shown to your pitch when you arrive! apart from the few negatives we really enjoyed our stay and met lots of nice people many who have been using the site for years and if we are in the area again we would book riverside.

Absolutely gutted when we turned up early to this favourite, they won't let you on the pitch until 12 so we sat for 90 minutes looking at our empty pitch, the gutting part is instead of the superb 99 p breakfasts there's a massive conference centre with breakfasts for £6. 99, a very big and impressive centre but certainly not what us Campers want, a big mistake I think, still the superb river boat and Toilets / showers good, but I'm hungry !
Oh well I've had to knock a few points off on this trip

99p breakfast is no more.
What a pity. The new clubhouse is fantastic though with prices to match although you get 10 % off.
This is our 3rd time here. Love the river taxi's. The staff are really helpful and friendly.
We picked a lovely week weather wise.
Showers were great. Warm and clean.
Shops and a Chinese restaurant and an Indian restaurant 10 minutes walk.
Bus stop the same.
Will definitely come back.

Riverside is in a very convenient location for visiting Stratford and the surrounding area.
The river bus (directly from the site) is a lovely way to travel into Stratford.
'Ordinary' buses also leave from the village of Tiddington - only a few minutes walk away - to Warwick, Coventry, Leamington Spa and, of course, Stratford. The village has a good Spar shop and a decent pub.
It took us around 25 minutes to walk into Stratford.
Access to the site is good.
The facilities, although not the most modern, are very clean and well maintained and there was never any need to queue.
As a couple of reviewers have mentioned, the ground does become waterlogged very easily and it's easy to see how flooding could occur in winter. The statics have flotation units on them!
There are no 'emplacements' as such and tourers are allocated a space in the field. Seasonal pitches occupy the perimeter of the touring field.
The new clubhouse/restaurant/bar is very impressive although the meals are expensive for what they are. There is a 10% discount for tourers. The balcony overlooking the river is a nice place to spend an hour or two as the sun goes down. (Parasols would be a nice touch. )
The main selling point of this site, by far, is its location - on the river, peaceful and tranquil.
We would recommend this site.
