We had a great time staying at Applefields.
Lovely site and owners are really friendly and helpful.
Plenty of room on the pitches and room for children to play as well.

What a fab site this is! Well laid out, spacious pitches, amazingly friendly and helpful owners, great facilities-
Cannot fault the site at all! For £20 a night incl electric you absolutely cannot go wrong.
Location good, walkable into the town of Leiston, short drive to larger supermarkets in Saxmundham. Coast nearby, farm shops, Leiston Abbey worth a visit.
Quieter than our usual summer camp, but very relaxing and exactly what was needed after the last 18mths.
The only small thing we would suggest is that the toilet cubicles with no showers could do with hooks on the doors for dressing gowns etc, other than that they have literally thought of everything!
Would happily stay again if we were visiting this area, and more than happy to recommend :)

This was my first time at the site, which was perfect for a few nights away exploring the area.
The facilities were spot on, plenty of toilets and showers and two kitchen areas, each with kettle, toaster, fridge & freezer which were cleaned regularly.
The site itself was within walking distance of Leiston, with a Coop and also take aways, pubs and other shops.
The Long Shop Museum is interesting & it's a pleasant walk the ruins of Leiston Abbey.
There's plenty of great walks close by, Minsmere and Dunwich around 15 minute drive. And I popped to Aldeburgh on the bus.
I'd definitely stay here again.

This site is run differently to many other sites and that is a complement. Although it was full when we stayed, it did not feel crowded.
The facilities are well kept and not designated male or female, which is good for preventing queues and for family groups. There are small kitchens and washing machines which is helpful.
There is a wheel chair users shower room also. The location is quiet, but only a short walk into the village for shops and chips etc.
Beaches nearby are dog friendly and you can walk onto countryside footpaths straight off the site.
I would stay again.

Applefields was a pleasure to stay, very relaxed approach by owners who are on hand if required.
Bathrooms are well maintained & have shower & toilet combined.
Quiet site, all nicely spaced out, easy walking distance to leiston for provisions

Could find fault with nothing at this campsite.
We certainly made an entrance as our clutch went on the way so we arrived on a low loader. Sue, the owner, couldn’t have been more helpful as I suspect quite a few site owners wouldn’t have allowed one on site. She was so laidback saying it would be fine and the grass would grow back.
The pitch was great although we couldn’t get a TV signal but hey who goes on holiday to watch TV anyway? Not sure why we couldn’t get anything but a local radio station but that wasn’t a biggie either as my iPad worked perfectly.
Sue is a credit to this site as are her husband and brother.
Showers were nice and hot. We loved the honesty box for paying for fruit and veg and the sweet peas were absolutely gorgeous.
An easy walk into Leiston which was handy for us with no car for 6 days.
Site is really well placed for visiting local beaches and attractions.
Love love love this place.
Will we be back at some point? Absolutely.

Really impressed with this campsite. Amazing value. Plenty of toilets and showers which were regularly cleaned.
Kettle and microwave in the kitchen was useful, as would the washing machine and tumble driers be for a longer stay.
Lovely spacious pitches and huge field for kids to run around, ride bikes and play games.
Location is great, nice and close to the suffolk coast.
