Although still in semi lock down everybody was observing social distancing

Amenities were even better than the last time we visited with extra dish washing inside and out also fridge freezer

Cannot fault the site.
Excellent value for money

We were pleased with the site location, amenities and friendliness of owners. I was greeted promptly and given large area - perfect for 3 modest tents for me and my adult children. We had perfect spot with a picnic bench - and owners carried it to the spot for me!

There are lovely footpaths connected to the site. Easy walk to the Abby and ocean! Town is close but not overly so, with two pubs 5mins walk. Though this is not on the beach, nor in the mountains, it is suited for a weekend break.

I would highly recommend for Families with tents or caravans looking to getup for a short break.

Lovely site, very clean showers and toilets.

Great to have a ‘dog wash’ area as well.

The kitchen would have been lovely if we’d have needed it.

Wonderfully friendly owner, nice to chat with.

Signs up due to COVID-19 and handled well.

All in all a great campsite and we’ve already booked to go again.

Really enjoyed our stay. Field was really big so plenty of room for awning etc.

Used the showers which were lovely and warm. Only £16. 00 per night for caravan awning and electric so 50 pence for a shower was well worth paying.

Plenty of places to tour from the site. Went to Clacton, Frinton-on-Sea etc and a car boot sale on the Sunday morning near to the site.

Not far to walk into Leiston with shops, chip shop, Chinese, 3 pubs and Factory Shop.

All in all a very pleasant stay and will be returning when in the area.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish! A lovely site, relaxed, clean - superb facilities way above normal campsite standards.

Lovely friendly fellow campers, I celebrated my 61st birthday there and it was certainly one I'll always remember. My wife and her friend were kindly given a beautiful bouquet of freshly picked sweet peas from the allotment of the lady who owns the site, a lovely gift.

We will certainly go back!

Thanks once again to Steven. :)

We have camped at Applefields Leiston several times now, this is where we

Come when we want somewhere local, under a hour away.

The site is just 20 pitches loads of room & covers all your needs.

We walk from the campsite which is fantastic.

The Proprietor, can't do too much.

We both belong to the main two caravan clubs so why do we come here.

Because here ticks all the boxes.

By the way because of the virus we didn't go this time.

This is a very straightforward campsite,

Everything works and is clean,

Easy to access,

It suited us perfectly, so would use again.

Thoughtfully equipped.

This site is almost perfect: very gently sloping, quiet, very unobtrusively run, plenty of space, EHU and campfires, very good facilities and an easy walk to the local shops and pubs.

There's a good, ruined abbey and the Long Shop museum within strolling distance and plenty of places of interest within a short drive.

We were there for October half term and had a delightful time although the weather was mostly miserable. There is a large sitting room with books and games in case you get bored of the inside of your unit in bad weather.

Four showers, five lavatories and two good kitchens, each with two dishwashing sinks, a fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and washing machine are really very generous for the 20 pitches advertised.

Everything was beautifully clean and well maintained. There's even a dog and welly washing station. The only thing I'd add would be a tumble dryer.

It's all run on an honesty basis - no deposits taken: just leave payment in the box and enjoy the very reasonable rates.

Worth noting is that this is the darkest campsite I've visited. There's lighting by the facilities on a PIR switch, but this thankfully doesn't come on until you're almost at the doors.

Great for stargazing and owls.

 Clean, quiet and good facilities.

Very good rates.

We very much enjoyed our stay and will stay again.

Owners very trusting and very pleasant, available if needed but not intrusive.
