This is a lovely campsite.
Very relaxed. Lovely owners. Nice big freezer which was handy for ice etc. There is also a washing machine and an area to seek shelter if you get too much rain!
Free picnic tables to use with beautiful wild flower displays.
Good showers too.
Thank you….

My first visit, and I liked the site very much.
Friendly, clean, tidy and well run, nice quiet location on the edge of an interesting town, in a great area.
I look forward to going back again sometime.

This was the first time we have used this website and we struck gold! This site is probably the best we have ever stayed at. Reasonably priced with a wonderful shower block and constant hot water.
The owners have thought of everything and even offer a kitchen with kettle, toaster, microwave and books that would be a godsend to anyone facing a day of rain whilst camping, not to mention reasonably priced washing machine and drying facilities.
We were visiting the local Nature Reserves and found everything we we wanted to visit within a short drive. Cant wait to return.

Excellent level site, nicely maintained and planted and spacious, handy location within walking distance of town and cycling distance of beach,
Great clean facilities offering all we needed for
Toilets, showers and washing up and a very warm efficient welcome. Great old school campsite.

This is a lovely grassed campsite. Good facilities, friendly welcome, the other campers during our stay were a mixed bunch of all ages with tents, caravans, vans and motorhomes. Our fellow campers and the local people were all so friendly.
It was nice to be able to choose our own pitch when we arrived. The toilets and showers were very nice and kept clean.
Plenty of hot water in the showers and for washing up. There is a good fish and chip shop, a lovely Indian takeaway and a tasty pizza takeaway in Leiston.
There are plenty of good places to visit nearby, we used our van and also the local buses from Leiston, which is a 15 minute walk if you're slow like me. We particularly enjoyed RSPB Minsmere, a short drive away, and Aldeburgh by bus, Thorpeness by bike plus Orford, Snape and delightful Woodbridge in the van.
We could have gone to Ipswich on the bus but decided we would rather stay rural. We're not really bird watchers but we did lots of sitting in hides just chilling and were thrilled to see marsh harriers as well as terns, avocets and lots of black headed gulls! This was just the therapy we needed.
We will definitely use this site again if we want to revisit the area.

2nd visit, stayed extra night. Lovely relaxing site, busier this time but still clean and tidy and well organised. Sue came to see if we were settled and remembered us.
Highly recommended. Town is within walking distance, good handy shops. Took a look at Sizewell beach. A pleasant walk.
The Abbey is also a nice walk too.
