Fabulous site, great facilities, toilets and hot showers spotlessly clean and well provisioned with supplies at all times. Kitchen with fridge freezer, washing machines, tumble drier plus clothes line if needed.
We didn't use the socialising room but what a good idea, if needed. Doggy wash, boot wash and facilities for disabled campers added to the benefits on the site.
Really well run and well kept, the owners worked tirelessly to ensure the guests were happy. Quiet times rules were well published and it was obvious if there had been an issue (there wasn't while we were there) it was easy to call the owners for assistance.
The pitches were well maintained, grass cut and plenty of taps around. Nice separation between three or four fields so felt more like a smaller site rather than giant fields of motorhomes.
Several people we spoke to returned year after year. Literally nothing was too much trouble.
The closest town 5 mins walk offered several take aways and a pub serving food, plus a Co op. Information was readily available on the site for food options etc.
Closest beach was pebbly but nice and had a little cafe on the car park, walking distance about an hour. Other local beaches were lovely too such as Thorpeness, car or public transport needed.

Excellent site. Very well kept, peaceful.
Good facilities.
Nothing fancy which was just what we wanted.
All grass pitches.
Plenty of space and good location for exploring Suffolk

The booking process was simple and easy and we were pleasantly surprised by the relaxed attitude to arrival and departure times.
We were made welcome and given free choice as to our pitch.
Its only a short walk into Leiston which has a good selection of shops and a couple of pubs - one large with a good food selection and the other a friendly 'drinking hole'(no food).
Regular buses go to Saxmundham in one direction and Aldburgh the other.

We really liked staying at Applefields.
Large field with campers dotted round the edge and all the facilities one could hope for including a washing line and a lounge with games and books to shelter from bad weather if needed.

Quiet site in a great location, ideal for exploring Suffolk coast,
5/10 minute walk into Leiston for shops and pubs.
Friendly owner.
Just perfect for a midweek stay.

Nice, clean site, which I would use again.
It is off the b1122 just north of Leiston town centre. The access is a bit tight but ok.
The site owners are good, approachable people and dedicated to keeping the site spick and span.
The fields are flat and regularly mown, though the grass is not collected.
There are good facilities, including separate shower/toilet rooms (showers 50p each), a toilet block, a kitchen with a microwave and a kettle, a play room, laundrette, waste disposal etc.
The site is a good base for the area, and there are plenty of footpaths around. Leiston is pleasant, but not a shopping centre. Saxmundham, 4 miles inland, is the place for supermarkets etc.

This is a lovely campsite, very relaxing -
Short walk into town with good fish and chips.
We took our bicycles and cycled to the beach which was only 10 minutes away to have a morning coffee and the beach cafe.
Facilities are excellent -
Friendly owner -
Will certainly come back

Another fabulous weekend at our go to campsite for a weekend relaxing, playing board games, building Lego, playing badminton, reading and going for walks.
Everything we need for a family weekend away,
Lots to do nearby but a visit to the abbey and a wander into the town was as far as we went.
