Our second visit to this campsite, both times in August. The pitches are well spread out so even at this time of year it does not feel too busy.
Facilities are excellent, more than you need. Location is great, near to a town with shops, pubs, etc and easy access to cycling routes, beaches, pretty towns etc.
Owner is very helpful and attentive to the needs of the people staying on the site. Flexible with arrival and departure times where possible.
Good level pitches and excellent drainage.

This is the nicest campsite we’ve been to - really clean, quiet and Susan and Nigel were exceptionally helpful when our tent failed and found us an old one of theirs to use for the week.
They also asked her brother for a jump start when our car battery was flat. We couldn’t have asked for kinder campsite hosts.
The facilities include a purpose-built lounge with board games, books and sofas etc which was a complete god-send during a storm.
There are loads of showers, clean toilets, several sinks for washing up, a kitchen with fridge and microwave - you name it it’s there! Electric hook up was easy, water points plentiful and convenient and a soft non-rocky field.
Pitches not too close together either.
Overall a really lovely, clean and friendly camp site - thoroughly recommend!

Excellent site
I was a bit wary about the unisex facilities but it was no problem you had your own bathroom with toilet shower and wash basin,
Value for money you couldn’t fault it
Would certainly recommend it to anyone

A lovely grassy site - well laid out with good provision of power and water points.
Clean and well organised showers and toilets.
Nice open air (though covered ) washing up area.
A friendly welcome and good communication throughout.
Very hardworking staff!
A great location for Aldeburgh, Southwold, Thorpeness, Dunwich Heath etc.
This was our second stay and we’ll definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at Applefields. The site is well kept, showers and washing up area is clean.
There is a kettle and microwave to use if needed. There are plenty of water taps around the site and some fresh produce available from the on site veg patch.
It was a peaceful site and pitches are spacious and not defined.
The cost of the pitch was excellent. The showers were hot.
Location excellent for walking and coast.
