Daughter and I stayed here 2 nights to take advantage of the Bath Children's Literature Festival, and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Toilet block spotless, showers took a bit of getting used to as the water kept cutting out, but once we got the hang of it, all was fine. I was amazed at how many people were still camping at the end of September - I was sure we'd be the only silly ones.
Can't comment on food, as we didn't eat there, but it was easy (once we'd found it) to get to and from Bath.

We visited this site on 16th September and found it to be well cared for and very picturesque. The plots are adequate in size for Motor homes, but some may be a bit small for large caravans with big awnings. The toilet facilities in the caravan/motorhome area are very good, very clean and well kept. The showers are excellent, some of the best we have used. This site is ideal for cycling to Bath or Bristol, once you get onto the main cycle path which is an old disused railway line.It is very flat and smooth. There are Two good pubs close by if you want a meal. The site Restaurent and bar seems very nice but we only had breakfast there on the last day, which we enjoyed. If you are a bird watcher there is an abundance of birds on site and in the area.
We will certainly be going back there again very soon as we liked the site and the area very much.

Stayed here for 3 nights trying out a caravan. Fantastic site with excellently clean toilets and showers. We had a good pitch which had a hardstanding and a grassy area to the side. Pretty stream and setting.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay here. the toilets were clean, and we didn't have to queue, but I guess this was because we had EHU and we were in with the caravans and campervans. We took our bikes and did the cycle path to bathampton which was interesting (an eye opener for us!). The food in the bar was reasonable price and very nice. My only downside was it was near the main railway line and under the flight path to Bristol Airport - but we got use to this and enjoyed watching the easyjet flights, and the earplugs were very useful! oh yes we were not allowed campfires, not even the ones which are self contained in a raised fire pit, but bbq were welcomed. With all of that we did enjoy our stay on this clean, quiet campsite.

The toilet facilities are superb, there are plenty of then and they are always immaculately clean The pitch was plentiful and set away far enough from the road to eliminate any traffic noise. The bus into Bath was a short walk away and very regular but a torch is needed on the way back if you are coming back at nightfall

Really disappointed with the size of the pitch. Very cramped in and wasn't sure at first if we would be able to erect our awning. No room at all for the children to play outside the awning as you just stepped out on to the next persons car! Pity, as its a lovely site with the stream running through it, and perfect for touring Bath and surrounding areas. Pub food was OK, but not much atmosphere! Little play area for the kids, mine loved it. Showers/loos etc were always spotless when I used them. Shop did not really stock much considering the size of the site! Bath is a great City to visit and the Roman Baths, Wookey Hole is great for the kids and the Cheddar caves are beautiful. Lovely part of the country. We knew that it would be busy, but the size pitch has put us off returning!

Visited over the late August Bank Holiday, blessed with fantastic weather but horrendous traffic on the M5! Initial thoughts were of a very good set up, easy to find and a nice log cabin reception building. We were in a group of four with two tents but they gave us one pitch which was big enough for both tents so saving us a bit of money! Pitch 114 I think! This was a great pitch at the end of the section above the main parking area and nearly halfway between the two toilet blocks. We had fairly large tents too. Some of the other pitches close to the stream looked a little small and cramped, the stream could be a bit noisy for you also so I'd recommend asking for a larger pitch if possible. The toilet and shower facilities were very good and nice and clean (imagine a leisure center changing rooms) with plenty of hot water. We tried the bar on one night and it seemed friendly enough with plenty of outside seating, didn't try the food but the prices seemed reasonable! Buses into Bath are every 15 mins or so, there is a cut through the wooded area to the housing estate behind where the bus stop is. Generally I would recommend this site but like I said ask for the larger pitches higher up away from the stream.

This was our second stop during the year and we find it a very pleasant site, certainly for children. The facilities are of a high standard - the waterless latrines are something else! Although the layout is imaginative and uses the landscape well, the first time we visited they put us in pitch 125 which is narrow and where everyone passes through to reach the loos! Insist on a different pitch! The stream is fun for the children and quite safe. The perimeter road has speed bumps, of course. The shop is usefully stocked, but pricey. We wanted to try the cafe, but it was closed, so we had to go out. Not a problem - the Globe nearby has a really good menu. Easy access from the site to either Bath or Bristol or other local attractions as its near the A4. A good site, worth a stop if in the area

Had a lovely week here weather wise. Only one morning of rain. We were very lucky with our pitch but please be aware that some tent pitches are up on the top of a slope and may not be suitable. There is another field closer to the stream for tents that is flat (think that is non-electric). We had lots of space for the children to play, although quite close to the road. We used the bath facilities for the children and they were lovely and clean. Main grumbles are that considering this has won 'loo of the year' we didn't think the toilets and shower area was cleaned enough. Also the bins on at least two occasions were overflowing for a long period. We ate at the pub twice and sat outside. Waiter was pleasant and helpful but we would have liked a smile at least from the bar staff/manager. Food was lovely. We used the cycle path and the staff were very helpful explaining how to get there. A slight obstacle course but no problem. Fishing in the stream was lovely, my son caught his first trout! The gentleman cutting the grass was very friendly and stopped for a chat. Longleat and Wookey Hole well worth a trip as not far from here. Longleat advisable to get a passport so you can go back several times. Lots to see! Roman Baths were lovely too. Plenty to do and see. Nice site overall.

This was our first campsite using our recently purchased motorhome, so we were nervously hoping for an easy access, easy-to-use pitch. Access was a little tight in places for our 29 footer, it was a tight bend into the campsite for us, and some overhanging branches made us consider our route carefully, but these should only be a problem for the American RVs. On arrival we were greeted warmly and efficiently at reception, and set off to find our pitch. Unfortunately, the pitch we had been given had a large bush at the end, which meant we couldn't fit our vehicle onto it. With a growing audience watching our novice moves, we hurriedly went back to reception to ask for advice, and they were exceptionally helpful. They found us a new site with ample room in no time at all and with no fuss (and this was during peak season), so we were very grateful. Finally settled in we were able to enjoy the surroundings. Good points: lovely level gravelled pitches for motorhomes, good, spacious and clean toilet/shower blocks, nice little playarea for the kids, well stocked shop, pretty surroundings (yes, there really was a babbling brook), lots to visit and do in Bath. Bad points: Access to the cycle path and local bus stop was a real struggle. We have 5 children, so struggling along a stony, narrow dog-mess ridden path with two prams wasn't much fun. We had to lift the prams over a kissing gate and over a locked barrier on the footbridge into the campsite. Overall: We would recommend the site and use it again, but will probably wait until the kids are out of prams. We only stayed 2 nights, but this site is worth a longer visit because of the many local attractions.
