Fantastic quiet site, staff very friendly and helpful, toilets A*.
Two complaints one was website states fishing, I even phoned up to ask about the fishing and was told yes fishing is ok no closed season, the stream is so shallow never ever saw any fish there is no way you can fish in that water. The other complaint was pitch is so small and on steep slope, son couldn't sleep in annex too much of a slope and by time you had a caravan awning a 4x4 we was touching pitches both sides of us. Too many pitches crammed in. Some pitches had loads of room but ours was awful.
Apart from that lovely peaceful site couldn't believe we slept in till 9am on first day of holiday and it was school holidays no noise from children at all.

Idyllic location, and a perfect place to explore Bath and I highly recommend the thermae spa whilst you do!
Location: Good: the site was spotlessly clean and we camped right next to the stream listening to the gentle tricking noise all night. There was no road noise but a little from passing trains, not overwhelming (no high speed intercity express services thankfully!) and kind of inevitable to get some noise in British campsites. Under an hour for a gentle stroll into Bath.
Facilities: Excellent; the facilities amongst the best I’ve seen at a campsite (Glamping aside). Loo of the year award and attendant of the year award were justified. Even a fully stocked shop and pub that serves food – all just far enough away from our pitch not to detract from the camping experience.
Value: Excellent; only £12 for the night for two of us to camp.
Service: Excellent; very warm welcome at reception who were happy to help and give tips and directions for Bath, really couldn’t ask for more.
Overall: Excellent, one of best

I hesitate to rave about this site for fear that it becomes too popular. I have to say however that it has everything I need and in just over a year as a camper vanner (?) this site has emerged as my favourite. Why? Great layout of the toilet block and shower facilities with private washroom cubicles, plenty of hooks to hang things on and always warm and spotlessly clean. Great location for exploring Bath and surrounding areas, no fussing about with barriers, barrier cards, key codes, deposits etc, lots of space, tranquil surroundings, late arrival by arrangement and a very affordable tariff especially for the over 55's. I would urge the owners not to change a thing in this winning formula.

Some warm, February weather, and the recent purchase of a new tent in the January sales, encouraged us to start this year's camping season early. We ventured out for a week end break in Bath and on paper the Newton Mill Holiday Park seemed to meet our requirements. Despite arriving relatively early, 10:30am, we were given a warm welcome and offered a pitch at the bottom end of the site. The campsite was fairly quiet this time of year but the reception shop was still well stocked. For the two of us, one tent, one night we were charged £12. 00. Although not requested, or paid for, we were still given a pitch with a hard standing for the car and an electric hook up which we didn't use. There was a tent field across the stream which was probably too wet for use. The pitch we had by the campsite road was well drained and gently sloping with loads of space.
Once the tent was up, we headed off along the lower foot path, cutting across to a cycle path which runs along the old railway line and then joins a path by the River Avon, into the city centre. This took about 45 minutes. After spending all afternoon in Bath, we returned by the same route in the dark we realised that we should have taken a torch!
The wash facilities were very clean and tidy and even free hair driers are provided! Most importantly, they were heated, a must for February, and loads of hot water in the showers. You could hear the trains passing nearby but they didn't disturb us through the night. The overnight temperatures fell to near freezing but that is the price to pay for clear, sunny daytime Febuary weather.
We packed up the next day and were allowed to leave our car on site whilst we headed off again to further explore the city. This time we used another foot path that sets off up the hill from the tent field to a bus stop at the top, (10mins). Regulary busses, £4. 10 adult return.
A good, well equiped site, ideal base for visiting the city of Bath.

Just spent 2 nights at this great campsite.
Reception and Shop - Really friendly and helpful. Nice size shop, although shelves a bit bare (although it is Feb, so maybe not fully stocked). Good prices for the products
Toilets/Showers - Very clean, dry and warm. Lots of space
Pitches - Good pitches (some are quite small)
Bar - Very good, not expensive, good food, lacking in a bit of atmosphere, but it was early season. Lovely area to sit outside.
Location - Very pretty site, well situated for Bath and a bus that stops outside.
Playground - super
Overall - Excellent, would definitely go back again.

We stayed here in early October last year and it was our first experience of 'campsite' camping (I've always been a wild one!).
The site is beautiful, lots of lovely open spaces, good sized pitches and nicely spaced out.
The reception and shop were great and not too expensive, staff wonderful.
The bar on site is very nice, sitting out in the evening by a babbling brook, lovely!
The toilet block was excellent, lovely hot showers and very clean.
We only had a 3 man done at the time but enjoyed our stay here immensely, we were also very lucky to have hot weather, sitting out in the sun in shorts in October!
If we were ever back in the area, I would definitely stay here again, even though it's not far out of Bath, you do feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, just as I like it!

Loved the site, very friendly staff.
Booked online for a two night weekend break, thought £28 was good price immediately received a phone call from site, they asked if anyone in our group was over 55 then gave us a 15% discount, £23.50 for two nights.
Our pitch was near shower block by side of stream lovely location. Most people I spoke to had been there more than once, speaks volumes.
Clubhouse did reasonable priced pub grub, again very polite service. Very quiet and clean site.
Good bus service into bath a short walk outside the site.

Stayed at this site for one night on our way down to Cornwall, always wanted to visit Bath so saw this as the perfect opportunity. Finding the site wasn't too easy and slightly confusing coming through the city centre into housing, etc. However when we got there pleasantly surprised at the nice campsite. Facilities were clean, well looked after and conveniently located to pitches, I. E. Not too far to walk. We walked into bath along the canal tow path which was fine after all you are heading into a city centre, so you do walk past housing estates, but not a bad walk at all. All in all nice campsite conveniently located for a visit to Bath, fancy a visit to their site near Cheddar at some point in the future as facilities here were so good.

We stayed here over a long weekend during September in order to visit Bath either on foot or by using public transport. Our motorhome stays on the pitch at all times wherever we go.
Receptionists were friendly and helped us understand the layout of the site. The shop did not stock many provisions.
We had booked hardstanding thankfully because on the upper field where we stayed the grass was cutting up pretty badly. However the pitch sloped to such an extent that even though we chocked up the front of the motorhome to the maximum we couldn’t get it level. (Important to face the right way round otherwise our drainage system backs up!)
The toilet block on the upper level looked more than tired as did those on the bottom tier. Mats are needed near the entrance so that when people go in they can wipe their feet. At the moment chunks of mud appear in the showers and wash areas regularly. Some areas have bare plaster showing and cubicles often don’t have hooks on the doors. Little things…………….
If Darwin spent some money on the toilet blocks I think many more people would return to the site.

Visited this site for two or three weekends. It's very handy for Bath and there is a regular bus service about 10 mins walk from the site. If you have a wheelchair or buggy this will be a bit longer as you will not be able to go the short cut over the bridge!
The showers and toilets were very clean and there is plenty of hot water although on two occasions there was none in the sinks in the cubicles.
The shop is small and has immediate essentials only.
There is a small playground which my 3 year old enjoyed.
The pitches are quite tightly packed in and when you leave your awning you can be very close to the next unit.
Staff have always been very helpful.
We did not use the bar/restaurant so can not comment on those.
We were able to get a discount off future visits by booking before we left.
