Fantastic site situated in the perfect spot for days out in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. If you don't want to take your car out you can do some lovely walks from the site, there are maps and info in the site shop.
Staff are friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and super helpful.
Whole site is clean and tidy with spotless facilities. Shower block is heated which was a huge bonus.
Pitches are spacious and we had a lovely view of the surrounding countryside from our pitch.
Would we return? Absolutely YES we would.

Great location, it was really quiet when we stayed. Facilities are really first class. Super washrooms, showers and loos. Very well kept. Site is well run and organised and cared for. Loads of useful local information and we had a friendly welcome and good pre-visit information sent through when we booked.
Steep sloping location with steep pathways means maybe not all pitches ideals for those with mobility problems.
Would happily stay here again but only off season as we like a VERY quiet site and I suspect this site gets pretty busy in the school holidays; it is ideal for families with its designated play areas. It provides generous pitch sizes so plenty of space between units.
PPub at Taddington was a good 45 minute walk, most of it uphill but we had a good meal there and there are plenty of lovely walks from the site so you needn't take your car out every day.

Good location right between Buxton and Matlock
Great facilities
Great park for young children and older ones
Some pitches looked a bit hilly and was a steep hill down to washrooms etc, a bit difficult for my elderly parents but they just drove down and round to level of washrooms

Fantastic site with large pitches and spotless facilities. Shop with basic provisions and great coffee shop on site.
Brilliant views from the top field although no views from the lower pitches, just looking at a hedge. (site is all on a slope).
2 play areas for the children and a lovely large secure dog field.
Site is in a great location for visiting the peak district and not far from Bakewell and Buxton. Fantastic walks direct from site too.
Site owners were friendly and helpful. If I had to find a negative, some of the pitches could’ve done with a bit of weeding around the edges
But that is being very critical and wouldn’t stop us returning or recommending this site.

This sight came highly recommended by an UKCS member, and it did not disappoint.
Very nice and clean facilities, well-stocked shop and an on-site coffee shop that is opened to non-campers serving delicious homemade cakes and snacks.
I missed out on the pizzas as they were only available on Saturdays and I had eaten by the time I arrived on site on Saturday and left the following Saturday, nevermind.
The hardstanding pitches were massive and well-spaced. However, they do not have grass or hedge near the pitches which made putting up the windbreak was hard work.
Definitely need rock pegs if one is staying on a hardstanding pitch as recommended by the site!
Plenty of grass with EHU pitches, however, I was not able to use them as my van is over 5m which is the limit for campervans.
Nice dog exercise area, and there are two children play areas that looked well-equipped.
The shop sells maps for walks around the area, including some that starts from the campsite.
The Monsal Trail can be accessed from the campsite on foot, however it does involve going down a rather steep looking trail down Chee Dale. It looked too steep for my knees so I drove to the now disused Millers Dale station to walk part of the Monsal Trail instead.
It is strongly advisable to go to Millers Dale station early in the day especially at weekends as it was packed by 12:30 on Saturday when I was there and people had to queue for the car park!
All in all, a very nice site, highly recommended.

Very quiet site with a good, well fenced field to exercise my dog.
Cafe on site as well, although I didn't sample the wood-fired pizza. Friendly reception, free wi-fi.
Unfortunately, I had a problem with my lap-top so wasn't able to make use of it. Had I been able to borrow a mouse for ten minutes or so, I could have sorted it.
