We have stayed at this site a number of times and will return many more.
The owners are very friendly and hospitable to late arrivals, the site is easy to navigate and find, the facilities are fantastic and always clean, the local area is lovely and there is a beautiful walk to a local pub directly from the site.
There is plenty of room around each pitch so you don't feel squashed in like with some sites.

Myself, wife, 3year old son and Labrador have just enjoyed our first ever camping trip at this wonderful site.
Everything is perfect, the toilet and shower block are spotless and pot washing facilities are the same there is always hot water and there is a freezer for ice packs.
There is plenty to do locally too with chatsworth house and haddon hall both close by. Also the site is within 5 minute drive of morrisons if you need to stock up on tea and coffee (lager/wine). The monsal trail is only short walk away.
When you check in your given a sheet with all the info on the site and a list of directions to all the local pubs. The church inn is well worth a trip the walk there is great through fields, trails up and over hills. When you get there you know you've earned a pint or 4.
The pre paid card system for electric is great value too we used less than £2 over three night stay and we had a fridge running all day and night and a heater at night as well, also lights and chargers etc.
As I've said this was our first trip but if all the sites are as good as this one then I'm sure we will have many more years under canvas.

Stayed here for 8 days as very central to places we wanted to visit.
Pulled on site and its choose your own pitch so we selected one with the most wonderful views of the hills & surrounding countryside, you get your own electric hookup which includes your own water tap and digital ariel plug, brilliant.
The toilet & shower block is THE best I have ever seen, heated, lashings of hot water (on a button) and extremely clean. Nice owners who leave you alone too. All in all, fantastic.
Now the 'buts'
The hard standings are very hard, 4 inches of tough shale with BIG hardcore beneath and 6 inch rock pegs = 16 pegs @99p each totally bent and unusable.
Then there is the 'all dogs free' issue. Now I don't mind dogs, but if I want one I will buy one, I don't want other peoples dogs in my van/awning, wandering round at will and crapping everywhere while some owners sit in the van watching tele or whatever they do.
With it being 'free for dogs' it meant people with 4 or 5 dogs EACH, were on the site, most responsible owners but one in particular was certainly not responsible. This meant the site lost money as we intended to stay a few more days but just had to move on
So, all in all a wonderful site that I would love to return to but wont until they do something about the dog issue, and if they could put some grass pitches in the 3 gigantic camping fields for folk who value their rock pegs !

Just spent 7 nights on this lovely site. It is well situated with great views, and some fantastic dog walks without having to get in the car.
The toilets and showers are spotlessly clean and lovely and warm. Although the site was busy, we never had to queue, and there was no charge.
There is plenty to see and do in the area, we hired bikes and 'did' the Monsal Trail, with our 2 little dogs in a kiddie trailer.
There are some lovely pubs serving good food nearby, we were given a very helpful info sheet upon arrival, and we can recommend the bacon butties from the mobile van which comes to the site at weekends.
We will be back!

Just returned from staying at Beech croft Farm and it was a really lovely site. The toilet and shower facilities were brand new, always clean and didn't have to queue, even though the site was very busy.
We could choose our own pitch so were went in the top tent field and the views were amazing, probably the best site we've stayed on for the scenery.
It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, no rowdy groups and our dog was welcome too. We didn't even use £3 of electric over 5 days running a fridge /coolbox, fan heater, electric kettle etc so don't worry about that a an extra cost.
We walked quite a few miles and did find some of the footpaths were not well maintained, which was a shame, but the monsal trail, the limestone way, midshires way and penine way were very good and we walked to The Church Inn at Chelmorton for lunch which was very tasty. I recommend a visit to Bakewell for a bakewell pudding too!
Our explorer map from amazon didn't arrive on time but we managed to get one from the sites small shop.
One very small gripe is that it would have been nice if the grass was cut more often as it was quite long when we were there.

Just returned from another visit to this fab camp site. We loved this site before the alterations but now it is even better. The new facility block is five star with showers to die for - wish this was in my house!
The new extended camping field has been well thought out. In fact we loved our stay so much we immediately re-booked to stay again.
I can't speak highly enough either for the new hook ups for tents - you purchase cards to put onto a meter so you only pay for what you use. We only spent £1 for staying for four nights.
If anyone wants to visit the Peak District for fantastic walks direct from the site then look no further than Beech Croft.

Stayed at this site on our first trip out with our caravan after switching from our tents and we where looking for an alternative to our usual trips to Wales and what can I say but excellent!
Signs on the site says they have spent £400, 000 on improvements and boy does it show, toilets and showers would compete with 4/5 star hotels, although I hardly used them as ever hardstanding pitch has its own water supply plus tv point.
The site itself is immaculate owners friendly although I cant remember seeing them after I'd checked in which is good
Nice little shop plus good wifi coverage which is run independently from the owners, but is easy to get set up with a small charge,
Location is perfect just far enough away from buxton without being too far, just a 5minute drive, plus perfect for exploring the peak district which I must say is stunning
I recommend the walk up mam tor behind blue john mines, perfect size walk if you got young kids, castleton village and the winetts pass compete with snowdonia no question.
On the whole almost perfect so much so the moment I got home home I booked for the following week.

This lovely site offers you a perfect location to explore the Peak District. It's a working farm and in Springtime you can see the little lambs in the field.
When we arrived we received a warm welcome from the owner and they where absolutely helpful with getting you sorted on your pitch. What ever you need, they'll do their best to supply.
The pitches are spacious and tidy with electric hookup and your own water supply with drainaige for your grey water.
When you take the upperfield like we did, you have some nice views over the rolling hills and you can enjoy some stunning sunsets as well.
The facilities were spot on and just the way you expect them on a campsite. They are cleaned every day and they fulfill all your requirements.
The campsite does have a little shop, just in case you forgot something or you don't happen to have at all. We didn't have any steel pegs and the campshop had plenty of them to suply us.
If I have to make a critical note: The A6 is not only visible, but when the wind is in the wrong direction you can hear the A6 as well. Is that anoying, not really.
Would we ever come back to this site? YES!

Nice quiet little site toilet-shower block lovely and clean pot wash area nicely kept only problem we found is the walk down to the toilets.
Its very steep and if you have any problems with knee or ankle joints, as we have, the hill is a real killer. Sorry but wont be going back just for that reason, would have been a lot better made into steps.
There is a van comes through the week for breakfasts and again some afternoons for fish and chips. We got a breakfast one morning and the food was good and reasonable
The only downfall was the hill to amenities.

This is the third time I have visited the site having camped once and with a caravan twice. We had a fantastic weekend. The site is kept clean and in tip top condition and the new shower block is fantastic.
I trying to think of something negative to say and however I am struggling.
The only thing I guess would that the price at almost £20 a night for a touring van is quite high but then the site is very well looked after so on the whole worth it. We walked the monsal trail all the way to Bakewell which good my tip for this at high season is get on the trail early as it gets very busy.
The pub in Chelmorton we had a fantastic meal there very highly recommend this pub.
