My family and I really enjoyed this site. We booked last minute and was pleased when we arrived to have a choice of tent pitch. The hook ups for the tent pitches are located at the bottom of the site and there are only about four or five of them. Tents without hook up are placed in the top field which although we did not stay in this field it was big and flat enough. The owners where always very friendly and on hand for any little hicupps that might arise when camping. A small shop on-site is well stocked and normal prices. Here you will buy your tokens for your shower at the cost os 30p. The toilets and showers where always clean. The wash area for pots and pans sometimes got a little busy, but this was only at the obvious times. My children and I liked that the site was very quite. Some nights we were asleep at 10pm. Although there is no play area for the children mine still enjoyed it here and I am taking them back with friends in the middle of august. This site is around five miles into the town of Buxton where there is an Aldi and a big Morrisons. There are also lots of outdoor shops all over the peaks. Its a great base to explore the very beautiful Peak District. While in the Peak District we did the Tissington Trail, Dove-dale and Chatsworth House all really worth a visit. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing break then I would highly recommend this site.

Just arrived back from a very good weekend in Buxton. We arrived at around 6pm on friday which was obviously too late to chose a decent pitch. The only space being at the top of the field which then meant my three children had a very long walk to the toilet block. The views of the surrounding countryside were wonderful. I would say that if you are not a dog lover this site may not be for you. The toilet block was cleaned daily but that was not enough, the gents toilet was particularly bad when we arrived on the Friday. The number of campers that were up making a noise by six am was a little annoying as were the children playing hide and seek at 10.30pm around our tent. All that aside we had a good weekend visiting the surrounding areas. I would go back again but I would make sure I had a pitch closer to the amenities.

A lovely small site. Stayed here for a long weekend, was busy at the weekend but never had a cramped feel. The caravan section with electric hook-up is arranged on 3 terraces, the lower terrace looked to have slightly deeper pitches but beware I think anyone with a really long outfit may struggle to find a suitable pitch. Pitches are not really allocated so come early to have the best choice. The toilet block is fairly basic, but was always spotless

I stayed at this site over the late May bank holiday. It is a fantastic location from which to go walking in the White Peak district, with several paths accessible from the site. There is also a direct bus service to Bakewell and Buxton, Facilities are basic but fine and I would definitely go again.

Only the second outing for our tent but what a wonderful location to pitch it. Even though the site was what I presumed to be quite busy it still had quite a roomy feel. Not packed like some sites. The field was exposed to a cross wind in some areas but if your clever enough to choose your pitch well then it shouldn't be a problem. Don't visit this site if your a camper after serious luxuries, this is back to basics. The facilities are more than adequate if your a matured camper, clean and well looked after. I will certainly be visiting this site again soon with my children. And its on a working farm too! Amazing.

A really lovely site. Reasonably level, well set out with pitches with or without electric hookup for tents and hardstanding for motorhomes / caravans. The facilities (toilets showers and washing - up)were excellent, well maintained and clean. The shop was small but well stocked with more than just essentials. We were sorry to leave.

Site is very pleasantly situated close to the A6 and very convenient for Buxton and Peak District attractions. We enjoyed the farm atmosphere and found the owners helpful and friendly. Facilities, although clean and well looked after, were basic and inadequate for the number of people on site over bank holiday weekend. (All pitches taken, plus a good number of tents and folding campers in the separate tent field.) There are three toilets in the ladies', one shower, plus three unisex showers on the other side of the block. 3 hand basins only with no separate washing cubicles made life difficult at peak times. Washing up room small - often long waits. Pitches with hardstandings and hook up are convenient for the shower block; separate tent field is more of a walk, and quite exposed. Overall - location great, friendly people and good value for money, as long as you are not looking for top notch washing facilities!

This was our first visit to the site and first in our new tent. The site is situated in a great spot for touring the peaks with gorgeous views. Plenty of animal noises made the whole experience worth every penny. My girls came home with lovely rosy cheeks from all the fresh air. Toilets spotless clean showers very clean and adequate. Hook up field for tents is sloping but not worth bothering about. Shop well stocked and owners very friendly and helpful. Would defiantly visit again.

Have now stayed at this site twice in April. It's a really lovely site with friendly, helpful staff and clean facilities. Have used a pitch at the bottom with awning which was nice and flat and the 2nd pitch was at the side without the awning, maybe a bit too close to the toilet block.
Becoming our favourite site in the Peak District.

We camped here over the Easter bank holiday, this site is an excellent base for exploring the peak district. The owners are very friendly and there is a nice pub with an open log fire a mile or so up the road. The toilet blocks are clean and they were never over crowded. I will definitely be returning again.
