The site is the best we have ever stayed on. Clean and organized and yet relaxed atmosphere.
Clearly signed for each function and a dedicated play area also a complete enclosed dog field. Yes I said field.
Simply beautiful.

A lovely site in a gorgeous area.
Booking was straightforward, all done online. The check-in process was quick, a useful FAQ leaflet was provided and there was a lot of local information available. The reception building also sold various provisions (including gin).
The site is on a slope but the pitches at the top were pretty level. The grass was short and the site looks well maintained.
The facilities were very clean with hand santiser at the entrance and wipes available. Hot showers and plenty of room. No problem with queuing and there's a unisex set of facilities for when the male/female ones are closed for cleaning - a good idea I think. For anyone that struggles with mobility there's a short but steep walk to the camping area unless you go the long way around.
There's a cabin with a microwave in and a hot drinks machine. There's also free wifi although the signal was hit and miss - not a problem as I go camping to escape from emails!
There's plenty to see and do in the area. It's an especially good site if you enjoy walking with such as Mam Tor not that far away and the Monsal trail running behind the site - there's a nice circular walk from the site which uses part of the trail. Bakewell and Buxton are nearby as well as numerous beautiful small villages.
For food, as well as the site shop, there's a Coop in Tideswell around 4 miles away and a Morrisons in Buxton around 5 miles away. Both places also have pub/restaurants and chippies. I tried Elliot's fish and chips in Tideswell, very nice!
All in all an enjoyable stay and a site and area that I will visit again.

Site was very clean and tidy and peaceful. We didn’t use the facilities but they looked like they were kept to a high standard.
The staff in the little shop were very helpful and an excellent source of information. You do need rock pegs, as advised, for the hard standing pitches as they are very hard! Nothing moves in the wind though!
Lots of lovely walks in the area and the scenery is amazing. We will be returning.

Absolutely lovely campsite with spotlessly clean facilities. Nice large pitches. Plenty of waste bins and water points. Staff very friendly.
My only grumble would be if your at the top of the camp where the flatter pitches are, it's a steep downhill walk to the toilets and showers which then means a hike uphill to get back. Not good in the middle of the night or the pouring rain as also no lighting at all. A couple of toilets up there would make all the difference.

Our first visit and we loved it. One of the nicest campsite's I've been to.
Very friendly staff. Immaculately kept, toilet facilities and wash up areas spotless. Felt so safe staying during Covid, hand sanitiser everywhere around the site. Perspex between each wash up sink. Great play area for the kids. Everything has been so well thought out.
Electric cards are such a great idea, two nights and we only used 70p. Ran electric cool box, charged 4 phones each day and used electric pump.
Lovely walks straight from the camp site and lots if nice places around the area to visit.
I'll definitely be going back to this site.

Lovely campsite.
Everywhere was spotless. Very dog friendly, the area's you can't take dogs have hooks for you to put the lead in while you nip in the toilet or shop.
The shop had everything you could need on a camping trip, I'm always forgetting something!
We were there when the pizza van came, it was delicious and the people were lovely.
Only thing I did notice is you can hear the road from the campsite and often heard motorbikes late at night, got used to it after the first night though.

This is one of the best sites I’ve stayed at. Very spacious pitches. Nice and quiet. Great views. Very helpful and informative staff. They have details of walks directly accessible from the site (there are several) and the people in the shop could confidently talk about the different walks.
Well stocked shop; bread, sausage, eggs and bacon from local suppliers. And bottled beer. They also have a few camping essentials which was amazing because I’d lost the spanner for my gas cylinder.
Toilets and washing up area were spotless and I thought the site managed the COVID situation brilliantly.
The site is a 30 minute walk to a couple of pubs; the church inn does great food. It’s a also a 1 mile (approx) walk to the start of the Monsal Trail. There’s a bike hire shop if you don’t want to lug your own bike down the very steep path.
