We have just returned from a stay in the Annexe at Pond Farm, a two bedroom facility within the family home, but completely separate, with it's own entrance, kitchen, lounge and massive bathroom. Paul and Sue who run the site are very friendly and helpful, showing us round when we arrived, including all the campers facilities, which look basic but very clean. The annexe has two bedrooms, one being accessed via a spiral staircase from the kitchen. Very comfortable firm beds in both rooms, with storage for clothes. The kitchen has everything from cleaning items to rolling pins, the lounge had books, dvd's and playing cards, as well as a large selection of brochures for places to visit. Local phone numbers are listed as well as local shop opening times. One of the most enjoyable things was total peace and quiet, no road noise, just the birds and the wind in the trees. It was also very dark at night, perfect for star gazing. There were some campers while we were there, although you wouldn't know it as they were very quiet. There is a pub a short walk away along the lane, and various walks across fields round about. Bikes can be hired just up the lane too. We would definitely stay at Pond Farm again.

We stayed at Pond Farm as a base for Gobur Caravan’s Preview Weekend.
Pond Farm is what I call a no frills site. It occupies a totally peaceful location in a network of very small lanes. Presumably, this is why they accept caravans “by appointment only”. Our tiny Gobur was fine, but medium to large combinations might find access a little awkward.
Virtually all pitches are slightly sloping. As has previously been posted, there are two pitching areas. The “front field” has little shelter; measures very approximately 100m x 20m and is allocated for adults only. Many of the marked pitches showed considerable wear, (however, we have had a period of very dry weather) and the field was peppered with mole hills. The “back field”; again little shelter; measured very approximately 70m x 30m narrowing to 20m; this is allocated for families.
Conveniently located between the two pitching fields are the facilities. This is housed in what looks like a converted shed or garage. The interior is pretty basic with 3 showers (free) and 3 wc’s which is laid out as a unisex provision. Also incorporated is a laundry washing / drying provision. The whole arrangement is a little cramped by current standards. Opposite is also a handy room with fridge / freezers / microwave and toaster.
For your basics, there is a very small shop on site. (But it was not open at all during our stay). Next nearest is the Woodlands Leisure Centre shop just up the road, otherwise go to Overstrand. Cromer has all the usual supermarkets.
Quite dramatic (for Norfolk anyway!) cliff walks and deserted sandy beaches nearby at Sidestrand and Trimmingham.
If you like all singing, all dancing family shows; Cromer’s End of the Pier Show is excellent. Also check what is on at The Little Theatre at Sheringham.
To sum up, a no frills site in a peaceful location. However, in terms of that elusive thing we call ‘quality’; at £7 per person per night no ehu, we’ve had better value for money. Pity that their buy one night and get one free in September offer was not extended to us on 02 / 03 /04 October.

Just as previous campers have said, this is a lovely quiet site. Paul and Sue very helpful and always seem to be around if you need help.
Two fields, one for families and one for adults, both close to toilets etc.
Shower and toilets, basic but very clean, looks ram shackled but not once you are inside, they are very warm too.
Sue has a stock of freezer packs that you can borrow if you forget yours and you can freeze your own. Fridges and freezers to store your food in and Microwaves and toasters to use. They also have free air to pump up your beds etc.
Small shop on site selling most things you might of forgotten along with camping gear as well.
All in all a very nice base to explore Norfolk would definitely recommend.
We got the special pay for 1 night and get one free deal in Sept.

Had a fab bank holiday weekend at Pond Farm. When we arrived we were greeted and shown our pitch and the excellent facilities (microwaves and fridge/freezer space) We stayed in the family field which was very spacious and peaceful. We also went to the Foundary Arms pub 1 mile down the road where the food was excellent and good value for money,8 people main course and dessert plus two rounds of drinks £ 110 bargain. We didn't book but the staff were very accommodating in finding us space for such a large party. Booking on weekend may be a must. Overstrand is a nice walk away with a fabulous walk on the beach .Also a dog walk around Pond Farm gave our legs a stretch in the evening about 1 mile.

Wonderful site. Owners very helpful. We pitched a bell tent, plenty of room for it in the spacious pitches. Site run well, plenty of amenities yet still charmingly rustic and peaceful!
My daughter left her soft toy behind and they kindly offered to post it on to us!
Area lovely, esp Overstrand beach. We used the pool at the local caravan site nearby (but feel the food at that place was too expensive).

Booked a 2night stay at this site, was met by Paul who was friendly and showed us our pitch. 3 toilets and showers had to queue for some time for showers. They really are not ideal in size with a small child to shower, there are 2 hooks in each and no where to put anything, trying to get yourself dry and dressed and a child is a nightmare as the boarding is soaking from previous people. Washing up sinks and fridges, freezers at no extra cost. Site was well lit at night although a bit uneven in places. I was a bit disappointed as we were put on the adult pitch even though we had our young son with us, and we had booked a few weeks in advance. The site is ok but beware of pitch no 9 which is very uneven, I don't now if we stayed on a bad weekend but someone was working in there workshop till until early hours of the morning, also cars will coming in very late at night, not good when you have a young child, bit disappointed and packed up and went home after first night as managed to get half an hour sleep all in all!

We have just returned from three nights at Pond Farm ( our first camping expedition!).We had a great time, the facilities were just what we needed-clean shower and toilet facilities and a little room with communal fridges and freezers as well as microwaves and toasters.
It was a friendly site and although we didn't need anything we felt reassured that if we did the owners were on site to help.
We did venture out for a lovely walk on the last evening however most of our journeys were done by car as the location requires transport especially with children.
The site was also quiet from about 1030pm which was exactly what we hoped for,so all in all a brilliant first experience!

The greeting we got was ok, not much info given. We were in the adult field, only to find two lots of children which didn't go down very well.
The showers were small and not that good for there was no where to put anything you came out with dirty feet. The shop was never open, the fridges were always full, this was down to the other campers though having no regards for other campers to store their food.
Very hard to find as the sign post where home made and tiny. The nearby pub was excellent but you do need to book if you want to eat there.

Stayed here from mid-week to over the weekend. We were one of three tents in the adult field when we arrived, it got busier over the weekend but never felt cramped.
The facilities were great; free fridges, microwaves and toasters as well as access to washing machines and dryers as well as items for sale. Whilst we there they had also hired a marquee equipped with tables, chairs and games for if the weather turned bad.
The area was beautiful, Cromer was nearby via pretty narrow, windy roads so caution needed. It was about a mile to the local pub and there were lots of nice, countryside walks (plenty of maps available from the site, the owner even photocopied one for us and marked the best paths on it).
The weather turned pretty foul during our stay and so we cut it short by one night, but not before the owners offered us use of a caravan and gave us a voucher for one free night next time!
Absolutely could not recommend this campsite strongly enough (or Cromer and surrounding villages along the coast road) They pretty much leave you alone on campsite which is nice but everything is really clean and well thought out, even down to solar lights marking the way from the camping fields to the toilet block!

We returned to Pond Farm to find it is even better! since last year's successful visit they've added Mavis the Marquee, with games and colouring in, and a dinky shop. My daughter made friends quickly with most of the other families on the family field and we had a great time.
The only trouble is, Pond farm is now the standard! I expect everywhere else to be as clean, neat and sensibly laid out for such a reasonable price! Microwaves, toasters, fridges, freezers, washing machine and tumble dryer!
I did find it slightly disconcerting when one of my fellow campers (of the opposite gender to myself) stripped off in the washing up/sink area prior to going into the shower cubicle- I wasn't quite sure where to look, that is the only downside to mixed facilities!
