Just got back from having a very nice weekend on the North Norfolk coast, using Pond Farm as our base.
It's a very nice campsite; the camping field was clean with roomy pitches, and importantly quiet, as it is off the main road. There are two fields, one for families and one for adults, which again was a good feature.
Facilities were great. My girlfriend tells me it is rare indeed to get so much available to you (fridges, freezers, toaster, microwave) for free! The toilet and shower block was nice and clean, with the toilets well stocked with toilet roll. There is also a 'little shop' from which you can buy a good selection of essentials.
Pub-wise, we drank and ate in the Foundry in Northrepps (15 mins walk from campsite) and the White Horse in Overstrand (25 mins walk from campsite) and can recommend them both.
The Foundry is probably the easiest to walk to; just turn left when exiting the camp site and follow the road - it takes you directly there. You get to Overstrand the same way but have to turn off the same road, take a footpath up to the radar station, then walk through a wood before joining Cromer Road.
Both pubs had beer gardens and are great locations for a refreshing pint on a summers afternoon/evening.
Overall, a recommended alternative to the larger campsites, with top facilities and some nice pubs nearby.

The site is nice and compact 22 pitches, a well maintained toilet/shower block and launderette.Small on site shop. Info on nearest attractions.
Plenty of walks around.
This campsite is ideal for those who want a more relaxed and quiet campsite away from the rowdy larger sites.
Thoroughly recommend it for an uncomplicated down to earth basic but comfortable quiet stay.

I have just returned from a half term break with my children where we stayed at Pond farm campsite. We received a lovely welcome on arrival and were shown around the campsite by Sue. She was very friendly. We had a nice pitch and put our tent up in blustery conditions. The toilets and showers are unisex which wasn't a problem and they wer kept clean and well stocked with soft toilet paper. I did think that I would have liked a ledge in the shower to put my clothes and bits on. There were hooks and it was fine but I went into shower with my little girl so we had more than one person. The showers were clean though and plenty of hot water. There were also freezers, fridges, microwaves and toasters available to use at no extra charge. I only have a small gas one ring which we do manage on but we had the luxury of bacon cooked on that with beans and poached eggs in the microwave and toast. There is easy access to Cromer and surrounding areas. We came back the next day to find Sue and her partner helping a lady opposite us to secure her tent. They spent some time shifting things around and reputting in tent pegs. They were not hurrying but ensuring that her tent was secure and that she felt entirely happy. Sue also spoke with my children when they went off to explore and she opened up the little camp shop ( which made their day). She showed them how to ring for her if they wanted her and they felt very important. There was also plenty of information on the surrounding area, walks, shops, facilities, beaches, cycle hire etc. I would not hesitate to recommend this campsite to anyone visiting this part of Norfolk and my children have already asked can we stay there again!

Having just returned from a weekend at pond farm all I can say is fantastic. The site is lovely and quite, having an adults only field is brill. The facilities are great, fridges, freezers, microwaves and toasters. The toilet block is clean. Although it felt weird queueing for the toilets and showers with men, but I got used to it. The pub is a 5min drive the beach is a 5 min walk from the pub. I would recommend this site, it's brilliant

I missed the entrance on the first pass but the signposting coming from Cromer is good, called in without having booked but it wasn't a problem. I left my name, paid, had the facilities pointed out and that was it.
Said facilities are great stuff: indoor washing up, nice loos and showers, washing machines, freezers, fridges, microwaves and toasters all free to use. Also lots of information on the area dotted around, not just leaflets but pub recommendations and suggested walks from the site.
Had a field to myself in early May, everything is very flat and there was a fair bit of wind but the site has plenty of hedges and some small trees to minimise the impact. Although only a few minutes off the bigger roads and from Cromer it felt completely secluded.
It's obviously a very well cared for site and a lot of effort has been put in by the owners to make it as useful as possible but still uncomplicated. I fell in love with Norfolk on my trip and will definitely be returning there and to this site when I do.

Stayed for a couple of nights late April, very quiet and peaceful. Toilet blocks are clean and tidy with no complaints at all. There are more freezers and fridges than you can shake a stick at to store food and freezer blocks, all free to use. Same as the showers, all controllable and free. Sink for washing up as well as a Washing machine.
Pitch was flat, grass did need a cut and as its Norfolk it is quite exposed so on windy days putting up a tent would be interesting!.
Pub about a mile away, has just re-opened after being re-furbed, owners very nice with good range of beers, didn't eat there so can't comment on food.
All in all very nice and would return again.

I turned up at 7.45pm on a Friday night after a long and very wet motorbike journey. I was greeted by Paul and as it was not busy I was told I could pitch my tent anywhere. I picked pitch 12. Paul told me I could leave my motorbike by the farm if I wanted, but as all my gear was strapped to it I decided to take the bike onto the field. I soon settled in, used the airline for my bed, got my water and made full use of the microwaves there to cook my tea. Facilities are great, for £7 a night I even managed to charge my mobile while I was there. Toilets etc are spotless, Sheila does a fantastic job of looking after them and the fridges & freezers are also very clean. If you want to get away from it all, this is a perfect site. If I ever travel to Norfolk again I will definitely book a pitch at this site.

What a lovely break we had here!
We arrived to be met by Paul who said 'I must be honest you might want to turn round and leave, just been told they're about to start combine harvesting the field next door'.
I must admit to never having been up close to a working combine harvester so asked why this would be a problem. Paul was very honest and said it would be dusty and noisy, but would not go on all night.
I decided to stay, Paul then went off to tell every other tent about the combine. This is a good example of the personal care you get at Pond Farm.
All the pitches are numbered, marked out with little concrete slabs in the corners, There is a 10ft gap between pitches which you are asked not to use for parking. Trees have been planted at the fence end of these gaps but are only 5-6 foot tall at the moment. If Paul isn't there to greet you he leaves a note for you and a diagram of which pitches are available.
I took care to keep the car closed whilst pitching and got the tent up before the combine came near. It was really dusty and smelt like weetabix but my daughter was kept occupied whilst I set up camp watching from the fence! We think they finished about 11.30pm but once we were zipped into our tent it was not that intrusive and we fell asleep. As Paul said, he is not God, he can't control what happens off his land.
There are two fields, one all families, one split into families and adults only at one end.
The toilets, showers, washing up room, fridge, freezers and microwaves are in the middle of the two fields in old farm buildings. They are unisex in that there are 3 toilets and 3 showers for everyone. Only once in 4 days did I have to wait to use a loo. They were cleaned at least twice a day, plenty of loo roll, well labelled with instructions for the showers etc. The wall in the washing up room had lots of hand made maps of good walks, routes to the beach, good pubs etc., but Paul and Sheila were often about to ask anyway. They also provide a free air line for your air beds, but the man who pumped up 3 airbeds at 9pm with a very noisy foot pump obviously hadn't seen it! There are washers and tumble dryers you have to pay for but all the other facilities are free.
Recycling facilities are provided for glass, paper, plastic and tins, I heard a man ask about compost-might be something for next year! There was one water tap outside the loos, chemical waste disposal, and washing up bowls and dish drainers provided by the washing up sinks.
We walked into Overstrand for friendly shop, pub (didn't visit), cafe (yum yum), PO with free cash point and beautiful beach which is dog friendly. We walked along the beach to Cromer, the RNLI museum is brilliant, the Rocket House Cafe is lovely, and you can't beat crabbing off the pier (or peering into other people's buckets to see their catches) so don't agree with previous reviewer who called it 'dreary'
Paul and Sheila told us about a new path they'd found, which meant you could walk off-road to Woodlands (Bar/club etc) Caravan Park which is open to non-residents but having a small child with us we didn't venture out in the evenings.
They are quite clear on their website they are after quiet friendly campers and for the weekend we were there they seemed to have achieved this, the only noise was happy children playing (and one sad child crying a lot but that's not the campsite's fault), although Sheila did tell me that she'd had words with a noisy adult group on the bank holiday weekend and stopped just short of kicking them off then and there in the wee hours.
I'm mentioning this in the review to reassure those who want a quiet night that they can book Pond Farm safe in the knowledge the owners are happy to enforce the no noise after 11pm rule.
I almost booked for next year before I left, I certainly plan to return.
Last but not least, the first campsite I've visited since finding this website that mentions UKCampsite on it's signage!

We have just spent the August Bank holiday at this site, and really enjoyed it. There were six of us (3 tents) in the adults only field. We booked last minute so they only had 2 pitches left, but there was plenty of room for 3 tents.
The toilet and shower block was rustic but perfectly adequate and clean, with 3 toilets and 3 showers and washing up areas, washing machine and tumble driers etc. There was a room with fridges and freezers to store food, and there was also a microwave and toaster. There was plenty of plug sockets for hairdryers etc.
The nearest pub in Northrepps is a mile away, a nice pub, but they are not serving food at the moment as they have no chef! so we ate at the campsite at Trimmingham, we had a lovely meal there, although it was quite expensive for a basic menu. We did walk to the campsite at Trimmigham however we decided to get a taxi back as we felt the road was too dangerous to walk back at night, (lack of pavements and not well lit.)

This is a lovely campsite. It is tucked away with no road noise and wonderful aspect on local farmland. The owners couldn't be more friendly. We were on the families field which had a great atmosphere, with all the kids running round together having fun with balls and imaginative games. The beaches nearby are unspoilt and underused and very wide and sandy. The area has the feel of an old fashioned English seaside holiday, which is what we wanted. If you want something more lively, the busier Norfolk seaside resorts are a short drive away. On the other field there were couples and teens having a nice time too, no loud noise. The showers were nice enough and having washing machines and driers, fridges, freezers and microwaves was luxury where there were few enough people that you can trust your stuff wouldn't be nicked. All in all we had a wonderful time. By the way I chose the username PondFarm without realising it would look like we were the owners posting a sneaky good review! We're not the owners and they don't need to post their own good reviews, they have plenty of good ones already.
