We found this camping site by pure luck. We had packed the car and headed towards Cromer hoping to find a nice camp site. This was the third campsite we found, with the other two we only got as far as the gates and just didn't like the look of them (tents and vans too close together, overly busy, etc!)
The fact that the site is split in two, one for families and one for adults is a great idea. We stayed on the families field, having two daughters aged 4 and 6, and it felt a very safe environment. All the children played together in the middle of the field which is not something that could happened at larger sites.
The facilities are more than what you could hope for even on larger sites, fridge freezers, microwaves, toaster, washing up facilities, washing machines, tumble dryer, toilets (of course!) and showers.
Maybe during busy periods they may be more of an issue with the toilets & showers as there are only 3 of each for the whole of the site, but easily worked around I'm sure! The surrounding area has something for everyone, great walks and great beaches. All in all an excellent site!

What great hosts sheila and paul are!
This site is of the simplest format but the added personal touches by the team at pond farm make it an exceptional campsite. You never had to queue for the facilities which were clean and fully functional. There was free access to microwaves, fridges ,electric points and any charges were minimal when applied to washing / drying machines. The weather was absolutely dreadful and nearly everything went wrong -including the exhaust on our car breaking- which paul fixed for us on a bank holiday monday free of charge. This just encapsulates just how friendly this site is.
The White Horse at Overstrand I would recommend to anybody. It looks like an old ale house from the exterior but has been transformed inside into one of the best pubs I have ever been in. The food is exceptional and reasonable, all locally sourced.
Cromer was dreary with no special features and I would not choose to visit there again but the villages of Overstrand, North Repps and trimmingham were all lovely and entertainment at the Woodlands camp site just a mile away kept us smiling on cold damp evenings. They also made us 'none residents' extremely welcome.

Booked this site for the second time after receiving a warm welcome from the owners.
They managed to fit us in at short notice over the bank holiday.
We Had to go in the family side as we had our dog with us ,but found the pitch to be more than an adequate size for a tent ,and the owners give you extra space in between so your not too close to your neighbours.
Ground quite level and easy to put your pegs in.
Site Very quiet as it is off the main road .
The toilet and shower facilities were clean and the showers were nice and hot .
There is a fridge and freezer ,microwave and toaster that you can use free of charge which was very good I think.
Owners extremely helpful and friendly which was why we went back here.
Surrounding area has some lovely walks and the beach in Overstrand is close by where you can walk or drive.
Overall we would recommend this site to campers wanting a get away from it all break .
We will return soon.

Have been twice this year, we have been made to feel very welcome by the hosts, who were very friendly and helpful ,facilities are good to excellent, microwave and fridge / freezers came in very handy as did the airline. Shower / toilet block had the makings of being over-run in busy times but this didn't happen when we were there over bank holiday. Site is quiet which suits me fine and within easy walking / driving distance of local towns Beach's etc. Will be back again very soon.

Thank you so much for a lovely stay, the owners are very friendly and helpful. The facilities on site were great, the toilet & shower block were very clean. This campsite is really dog friendly, Jake our labrador had a fantastic time. There are so many lovely walks straight from the site and the coast is not far. The site is situated in a great location to many attractions and Cromer a beautiful seaside town. This campsite is ideal for all. 10/10

Had a great time even though the weather not great. Very friendly site owners and other campers. All facilities needed for camping provided and clean. A very good base for seeing the coast line. Very family friendly and in the evenings peaceful when the kids are worn out from playing.

This site was lovely, a real family holiday atmosphere. The site was small and was very friendly with all other campers very relaxed and friendly and the owners were lovely and were always polite and making sure everything was OK. The facilities were fantastic with clean toilets and showers always. Washing machines, tumble dryers, fridges and microwaves available with a small charge for the washing machine and dryer only. There is also an air pump which is free of charge to save your arms from pumping up those air beds. There is not a playground for the children but the children enjoyed playing in the middle of the small camp site all together which was much better. There are shops near by in over strand with the essentials. The beaches are lovely and clean and everyone is so friendly. Overall a fantastic holiday enjoyed by everyone there and we will be back next year.

A very rustic site which might be a bit much for some fair weather campers who like their facilities. we were pitched in the quieter field, away from the children which was good! The pitches are of good size and reasonably flat but can be crowded if people pitch too far forward in the marked areas (I couldn't get my car turned around inside the field very easily) The toilet and shower facilities are functional but there weren't enough for when we went (The campsite was nearly full). The toilets and showers are mixed sex which may put off some people. There are security lights to help you find the toilets in the middle of the night which was quite useful. The feel of the campsite is very much that of being on a farm. One slight annoyance was the gate at the camping field entrance which although necessary meant leaving the car straddling the single track road to open and close it. The entrance did get a little muddy whilst we were there but not enough to get stuck. Although there is a pub close by we didn't go there and the nearest shops are a few minutes drive away, also make sure you take any alcohol & cigarettes you might need - you won't find anywhere open locally past around 8pm. Avoid going when the crops are being harvested as we had two combine harvesters trundling across the fields behind our tent for half the night! Overall a very functional campsite in a quiet rural location with facilities that are slightly crowded when the campsite is full but clean enough. Ideal for those who want to get away from the modern life!

Had a very pleasant stay over easter. Facillities as described but perfectly adequate. Great for walking, lovely walk to beach, ideal for Cromer and surrounding area. Looking forward to returning in the near future. Toilets and showers clean, airline for the use of fridge freezer and microwave available. Host very friendly.
