Visited this site on the May Day weekend. The site itself is very large so to get to the entertainment and the kiddies play area was a 10min walk or 2 min drive.
On the whole the site is ok, there was building work going on because it looked like they was extending the site. Where we was camped was at the bottom of a hill, so in bad weather it could easily get flooded and the toilet block was at the top of the hill so not very good when you have younger children like ours. Although the shower and toilet block was lovely and warm, always clean and tidy, the showers was lovely with constant hot water and free.
The site was always kept clean and tidy, bins emptied regular etc. The staff was friendly but only seen them on the day we arrived to book in.
All in all I would return to this site once the building work has been finished

There's a reason why this site is cheap. Because its not very good. When we arrived it took 15 minutes to check in despite preregistering, the pitch itself wasn't very good so was difficult to secure the awning but worst of all was the field we were in which was clearly hosting the 'Shameless Fan Club' annual meeting. Whilst I appreciate the owners cannot choose their guests, they are empowered (and expected!) to take steps to control their behaviour whilst on site to enable other campers to enjoy their holiday. The couple next to whom we had the misfortune of staying spent the whole of Saturday drunk and fighting with a full thesaurus of abusive language to boot. This was in front of both their and our children. They then threw an entire tray of chips and gravy which hit our van and covered the awning in gravy which has now stained. No apology. No. Excuse. There is no camp security and no patrols so it's basically a free for all. There was no running water for one day either, so you can imagine what the toilet and shower blocks smelt like. If you've read my other review of another site, you will see that I will give credit where due however this was a really poor visit and I would hope my honest review will prompt some action from the owners. Won't be returning anytime soon!

I have got to admit I wasn’t expecting much from our Easter stay at this site having read some of the previous reviews. However, we enjoyed a week long stay here for a reasonable price and were quite pleasantly surprised.
That said the site is in need of lots of TLC and modernisation and it needs to be done soon before things get worse. My review probably sounds really negative, but it is meant constructively.
Upon arrival, after negotiating a sharp corner and even steeper hill, we were quickly checked in by the efficient reception staff and followed the signs to our pitch in the green section. The metal fencing around the Reception building was a bit disconcerting as were the outdated orange coloured toilet blocks.
It was raining heavily when we arrived and had been for several days so there was quite a lot of mud and puddles about. We felt that the site could do with some serious improvement to the drainage or that the most troublesome areas for flooding should be made hard-standing. The result was lots of mud in the caravan – but this was easily rectified with a wet cloth.
Though the site is huge it feels quite small as it is split into small camping areas, divided by hills and hedges. The views all around the site are fantastic and I don’t think there is one pitch that has a bad view.
We visited the pub once – it was friendly enough with a small indoor play area for children, but they had sold out of almost everything including basics like fresh orange, coke, blackcurrant, crisps and cider. The pub, like most of the site could do with modernising. There was very little information around the site about entertainment taking place there.
Our girls, aged 6 and 8, loved the two parks on the site. One is designed for younger children and one for older kids. We were situated in the end field at the bottom of a hill, which meant that the only cars coming in and out belonged to one of the four caravans in our field. It was great that we could let the girls play out and have a bit of freedom without worrying too much about traffic.
The first impression of the bright orange toilet blocks was not good, they were clean but dated. The showers were scalding hot. I did not dare let the children get shower (they were really too hot for me as an adult). I like shower heads that can be removed from the wall, but these were fixed. My biggest gripe with most campsite showers is the lack of hooks and shelves in the showers and again this was no different. As other reviews have mentioned there was no soap for hand washing.
A big gripe is that the bins were open and exposed to the elements – it really took the look off the site, especially when litter was blowing everywhere. There also appeared to be lots of abandoned caravans in lay-bys around the site (in actual fact they were waiting to be sited for pitch and store customers). This made the site look scruffier.
Though there were lots of children around by eight o’clock everything seemed to quieten down and we enjoyed relaxed evenings.
Yes, as I said, we had a great time. There was a lot to do in the surrounding area – we visited Conwy Castle, spent hours crabbing at the marina, cycled along the cycle path from Conwy to Llandudno, visited Great Orme, enjoyed a day tobogganing and tubing at the Ski Centre and spent a morning at the pier in Llandudno. Oh yes and we bought some gorgeous sausages and burgers from Edwards Butchers in Conwy.
We’ll definitely be back for another visit, but a plea to the owners you have a decent site, it could be amazing with some thought and effort!

On arriving at the camp I was surprised by the steep incline up to the reception and it didn't end there! The whole site was very steep and I would not recommend it to anyone with mobility problems or for young families with prams to push. The slopes were strenuous even for the able bodied.
The site was only a couple of miles from Conwy but it was dangerous to walk there as there were no pavements for the majority of the way as we found to our peril!
I found the whole site in need of refurbishment and it was quite depressing. The toilets and showers were the worst I've ever seen in 3 years of caravanning. The electrics were dodgy and went on and off intermittently and on one occasion for a prolonged period. There was also a problem with all the toilets on site as they wouldn't flush on the Saturday night.
The pub was similarly gloomy and no effort had been made to make it welcoming and attractive.
All in all not a very pleasant site. I wish I had followed my instincts and before even negotiating the steep route in!

We have visited this site many times over many years but have to agree with most of the recent reviews on this website.
This site used to be absolutely fabulous but over the last ten years it seems as though the owners seem to have been 'take, take, take', and haven't put much back into it.
Everywhere needs an 'overhaul', the toilets, some are not working, the showers the same, really dated, and the pub hasn't changed one bit!
It is a huge site which with a little thought and money of course, could be restored to what it was. It used to have a shop on it, maybe only for milk, bread, papers, sweets etc, this would be a godsend again, the nearest shop is in the village which is quite a walk away.
The one thing I have always said this site could benefit from is a swimming pool, there is certainly enough room and even if an additional charge was made for this service it could be a great idea.
The views are spectacular but it definitely needs a load of serious TLC.
Come on 'Mr Owner', take note of the comments on this website before it's too late to retrieve yourself, put your hand in your pocket!

We booked in for one night only after finding our previous three sites in North Wales all full. We had no problem booking in and it was quite cheap.
As mentioned before the site is huge with pitches in small avenues spread out from the main road.
We didn't use the pub on site as we were told dogs were not allowed in the beer garden and we didn't want to leave them in the camper.
We went for a walk later in the evening and couldn't find it even though we seemed be walking for ages, if you go later in the summer don't forget your torch.
The gents toilets were a bit basic, no soap, the hand drier wasn't working and damage and graffiti to the toilet doors. The ladies were fine. To me it seems a little run down.
The views from the site are fantastic.

Just had a 3 night stay at Conwy Touring Park, this is our 4th visit to this campsite over the last 2 years and unfortunately our last!
The toilet/shower blocks on the 'Blue' site are in need of maintenance. Showers were often running luke warm to cool and it was pot luck to choose a shower where it offered more than a trickle of water from the shower heads.
The weather was poor which obviously effects the daily up keep of the shower/toilet floors, but I didn't expect them to be in a mess that they were.
Childs park is at the top end of the campsite (where the caravans are), approx 10 mins walk for the kids.
There is a club house but on this occasion we did not visit it.
The campsite is in a good location to travel and explore other places.
The park is just 'Tired' looking and in need of a total makeover, shame its got to this as it does have all the ingredients to be a terrific site.

We had a lovely time on this site and only read reviews after our visit (they may have put us off!). We booked for 2 nights but stayed for 4. We had a hook up.
We were on the blue section and very close to two toilet/shower blocks. One block had 2 difficult showers that couldn't be adjusted and soaked all our clean/dry clothes - there wasn't any room or anywhere to hang them and shower water blasted everywhere. The other shower block was much better. We were suprised by the absence of liquid soap in the toilets.
Our children loved the play area but it was quite a walk away. However, it was a lovely walk and allowed us to do some exploring.
We had a good sized pitch and all pitches looked very generous. We had a campervan and 2 man tent and still plenty of room.
The pub/entertainment building did look very run down and there wasn't any notices up about times etc. We thought it had closed down but a child our daughter met told us she'd been in the play bit there and it was good.
We spent all our days in Llandudno (about 6 miles away) and it was fantastic for our 3 children - lots for them to do but not costing a fortune.
Parking on the main road near Little Orme is free and has no restrictions! Just follow the main road from Llandudno Pier - there's a lovely outdoor paddling pool, small play area and shingle beach - much quieter than the Pier end.
We'd definitely visit again. It was good value for money for us.

We chose Conwy Touring Park as the site for our first family camping trip and were delighted with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were amazingly friendly and our arrival was dealt with quickly.
Toilet blocks and showers seemed plentiful and were always clean and in good working order.
The site although very large manages to feel really homely and un-intimidating as it's segregated into nice small fields separated by borders of trees. Conwy about a mile away.
Llandudno about 6 miles. Nearest Tesco in Conwy. Loads to see and do in surrounding area. About half hour drive to Llanberis (base of Snowdon) with lovely lakeside walk. We can’t wait to go back.

Have just returned from a 5 night stay on this park and I must say I have some mixed views, the toilet block's were cleaned every day but they are not central to the pitches. If you are down the bottom half you have a good walk up a hill every morning or as some people did go in the car. You also have to do this when you need to empty your waste tank and toilet. The bin areas were spread over a wide area. The tv signal is a bit hit and miss, would recommend you purchase a satellite dish or in my case a nice break away from the tv and the soaps ( wife not pleased)! I will stay at this park again as you have some good walks around this area.
