Stayed for 2 weeks. We come to this site every year. Conwy is so pretty. The site is also quite near to all the lovely places to visit nearby.
We have tried quite a few different pitches. Some of the toilets are very outdated. We found they were cleaned every day so not dirty.
The main and very important problem was the temperature of the showers ( tepid water so not for the faint hearted!)The basins were hot so can't understand why the showers are not.
We did try other blocks but they were no better. So we ended up using the caravan shower.
We would still come back again as it is a good spot and we still love it in spite of the moans! So don't be put off.

We stayed here for a week in August, our last visit was 2009 and nothing much has changed. The pitch with EHU was a good size for our tent (Idaho XL). The toilets were ok but we used the white area ones rather than the blue as they were bigger and cleaner. The ones in our area were constantly lacking in toilet tissue! Make sure you bring your own hand wash as none is provided, we knew this from last time. Nice hot water in the showers. I would agree with the other reviews that 7pm is late to open the pub, our children were 6, 7 & 10 & 6pm would have been do-able but 7pm was a little late. The playground was good and it is a great location for visiting Conwy & it's fabulous castle, Llandudno, Rhos-on-sea, we also had a lovely day at the Welsh Mountain Zoo and Greenwood Forest Park. We will probably return again as we love the pitch space & the area.

This is an excellent site and I would DEFINITELY recommend to everyone. Loads of walks on site. 2 parks. Pub. Indoor play area. Close to everywhere. The staff and Manager are always helpful. There are keycodes on the gates for added safety. Clean toilets and showers. Regularly checked. Plenty of space for ur tent/caravan not to b too close to others. Beer Fest and VW Fest were fantastic. Plenty to do. Lots of entertainment. Cant wait for our next stay.
Local area is great. Castle, Harbour, Beaches, Town and Llandudno no far away.

As stated before absolutely brilliant site but would like to add that the comments that previous contributor Firebird put on are not correct, we asked Norman. People stopping on Conwy can only use facilities on Conwy. The bar is open everynight through the school holidays now and bingo is played on a Tuesday night there, just to break up the week. Lovely site but could do with some TLC and attention to the little things, eg, lighting that is not working which would make it a great site. Can't wait to go back on Friday.

Just got back from our stay here. It was exactly what we needed! Great value for money which is ideal for our family. The clubhouse has a indoor play area for the kids and was open throughout our stay- however I do believe it is not open every night the whole season. There were plenty of other families around to keep my children occupied! The girls on reception were lovely and very helpful, they gave us bus timetables (the bus stop is literally at the bottom of the driveway) and taxi numbers to get into Conwy. They also recommended a few locations such as Conwy Water Gardens (great for the family) as well as the best beaches. In an ideal location, can walk into Conwy and it is only a 15 minute drive to the lovely town of Llandudno. There isn't a shop on site but a 5 minute walk to the nearest local corner shop. The site is huge, with lots of views, had no problems with the toilet and shower facilities, which I was pleased about as I had heard some lukewarm reviews, they were clean and did the job! Have to note the maintenance came and helped us when we had a problem with the electric in our caravan and were very accommodating, it was nice for them to take the time out to help us! Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and the price was brilliant! Thanks!

We have just got back from out stay at Conwy Touring Park, as a couple we are quite picky with what we want but apart from a couple minor details, we really did have a lovely stay! It was quiet and peaceful (and we asked to be in a area where there wasn't many others). We had a nice large pitch with a really beautiful view. It is quite a distance to walk from one end of the campsite to the other (to get to the clubhouse!) but to be honest we really didn't mind as the weather was lovely for us. No complaints about the actual site facilities however it would be nice to have a shop on site! All the staff were very helpful and there's lots of leaflets in the reception with info on days out! Thanks!

Stayed on this site for one week in our touring caravan. What a mistake that was, this was going to be an enjoyable weeks holiday for us and the grand children we thought.
We had to clean up other peoples dog mess from around our caravan every day, either they could not be bothered to clean up or they could not find any bins on site to place it in.
Went to the toilets on Green pitch 84 upwards, many of the ligths were not working so it was dark, no soap or liquid soap supplied. Used the disabled facility, there was no seat on the toilet, floor was slippy, cobwebs under sink, rail around toilet was rusty.
The so called drying room had rubble on the floor and bags of whatever stacked up against the wall, so could not use this room.
No washing machines or driers worked for the whole week. They had out of order signs fixed to them
WILL NOT BE RETURNING

Been coming here since 1983 when it was still called Bwlch Mawr Farm, Norman is an old friend. Facilities have got better and better over the years. New play area for the kids down at the bottom of the site, as well as indoor play areas if the weather is a bit yuk. There is a pub restaurant, the Swallows Nest, available in peak season and at special events hosted by the site. There is also a laundry nearby. Showers mopped regularly. Loos clean and with plenty of paper. Dog walks around the site, and some great public footpaths to follow. Shop on site next door accessed through hedge (legitimately!) Gorse Hill also has an indoor swimming pool that Norman's guests can access for a small charge. Late shop is out of camp down hill in Gyffin (just before you get into Conwy centre. ) If you cross the bridge back out of Conwy there's a Tesco a few minutes away, and an ASDA in Llandudno. On arrival you will be given a fact sheet with useful phone numbers (docs, vets, hospital, etc) Chilled site, peaceful. A gently sloping Public Footpath leads from opposite Red Pitches to site entrance, where buses can be accessed on the main road. Taxis can only come in as far as reception please note. Going again September after schools have gone back. Only down side to last visit was some badly behaved kids, they were dealt with by site staff very quickly. Parents, please teach your kids some site manners. They are not at home. (broken tent pole). This is an excellent touring base for Snowdonia, or a nice place to stop off en route to Irish ferry services at Holyhead. If you're coming in a tent, the final comment would be that some Rock Pegs would be useful, as the site is made on terraces of slate shingle turfed over, though I generally have no probs with 23cm standard pegs.

This site is in dire need of an overhaul of its facilities. The toilets are very outdated, the toilet doors catch against the toilet the cubicles are so small. The showers are little more than a dribble of water and have to be run for some considerable time before they run warm. In our block (green pitches) one of the shower doors did not shut rendering it useless. During our stay one of the showers had human excrement in it, obviously this is down to the people that stay there rather than the camp site management. The toilets were regularly cleaned but we visited after they had been cleaned and it was clear to see they had only been mopped in front of the toilets and not behind them. There is insufficient lighting on this site so take a torch. There are weeds and nettles everywhere giving it an uncared for look. The children's' park was miles away from where we were pitched and all that was on it were 2 swings, a see-saw and a zip line. A camp this size needs a lot more than this. Many of the caravanners around us were complaining about the lack of things for children to do. There was an adequate indoor play area open in the evenings but the lighting there was very poor and inadequate for the children to play safely. It was not an overly expensive site but we won't be back.

I visited this camp site in June 2014 and can honestly say that I have never met such lovely, understanding employees and owner.
There was a large (ish) group of us including 2 children. The pitches we were given were exactly what we needed. (Something away from the road but not too far away from Merlins indoor play centre) yet still adjoining. They have even fitted in a new play park for the children. The only thing I could criticize about this Holiday Site is that it was difficult to find and the WiFi wasn't on the entire park(only in the pub).
But otherwise an amazing holiday. Actually got a pitch booked August Bank Holiday.
