We have just returned from a stay at this holiday park. It is wonderfully situated just outside Conwy. However, what could be an absolutely wonderful site, it instead requires far more staff than it has to deal with maintenance issues and generally needs a lot of TLC.
The toilet/shower facilities are such that I would not make a return visit - someone else had previously written a review making the point that if you have standards then don't visit this site and I can only echo that sentiment completely and I wish I had heeded it.
Out of 3 toilets in the block, one was permanently locked, one had a flush that didn't work properly with the consequent very unpleasant consequences leaving one toilet properly functional. I did ask at the reception office if they would arrange for their maintenance team to sort the problem out but nothing happened. These facilities served a large number of pitches. The showers too leave something to be desired as they're very small with a very minimal area to dry and dress in and there is nothing to stop the water going into this area which inevitably means towels get wet and dirty. The only good thing I can say is that the water was hot. Thankfully, when we stayed the site wasn't full and I dread to think what it must be like when it's heavily populated. The Elsan point too is very unpleasant and needs updating.
This is the first time I have written a review but I do read them before booking. On this occasion, I wish I had taken notice of the minority of reviews of this site instead of the majority which sing its praises. If all campsite facilities were like these are then I would give up camping holidays.

First stay at this site, when stayed in many other camp sites around conwy and Betws y Coed. Was a bit worried from reviews but nothing to be worried about! Would keep returning here with my family. Some things could be fixed but overall didn't affect our stay. Great site with all facilities needed.

Just returned from yet again another amazing weekend at Conwy Touring Park after enjoying their annual beer festival. The festival was well organised with a funfair for the children, music to suit all tastes, tasty choice of takeaway food and lots of tasty BEER! the staff were great and managed the crowds and queues in a a polite and friendly manner and the cleaning staff were spot on replenishing the toilet facilities. The weather was amazing all weekend - who needs to go abroad when you have a little gem like this tucked away up a mountain in North Wales?
We can't wait for the kids to break up so we can spend the summer holidays there.

Beautiful campsite, very convenient for Conwy town. This is a large site and doesn't get overcrowded. Had a great break and booking again for August Bank holiday. The facilities are very good, a good range of entertainment and areas where you can have some peace and quiet.
Lovely area for taking long walks.
Would recommend

I decided to leave this review due to the fact when I was considering booking this site most of the reviews were good, so we booked. We were very disappointed and here is why.
Check in is simple and the site has a coded gate which is a good point especially if you have children. Pitches massive no problem there.
We pitched on a five amp pitch, you could have five, ten or sixteen amp pitches. We were located on Blue K site, upon arriving we found the toilets, showers and pot wash area was just behind the hedge to our tent. Our first thought was great our 6 yr old will not have to trek to the loo on a regular basis. However everyone else needs the loo at all times and not all campers are considerate about noise, so our 6 yr old was disturbed often while in bed. Yes we could have probably asked to move, but if your a tent camper you will know what a pain it is to move once it's all up and homely so we figured just get on with it.
The bins were just around the corner and in the five nights we were there they never got emptied, they were full to bursting which proved a feast all day and night for the seagulls. As most people are aware seagulls don't have table manners so what they didn't want just flew all over the campsite. Was not a pretty site. Also the showers on blue site were not working when we arrived, not too much of a problem there are plenty around the site, however they are only cleaned once a day! Yuk, and smelly not a good idea for the amount of people camping and the size of the site. Just glad we were there when not too busy.
There is an indoor and out door play area. But be aware the indoor one only opens at 7pm to coincide with the pub opening. We didn't use the pub or the in door play area so can not comment but if the indoor play area is the same as the outdoor one then be very aware. There were nails sticking out all over the place, the bridge from one piece of equipment to the other was broken and the whole play area was a hazard and I feel a health and safety issue.
There is also another outdoor play area nearest to the camp site which proved to keep our 6yr old entertained and was safe. The views are amazing and breath taking.
We love Conwy would I use this site again probably not. Unless they spent some money on tidying the site up and not just concentrating on the static side but to also consider the campers and tourers side.
There is no shop on site but plenty locally. Also if taking a four by four or towing a caravan just be careful as cars parked outside their property on the road to the site can prove to be nail biting sometimes.
Visit the little seaside resorts in the area e. G Llandudno as there are worth it. Some lovely restaurants and cable cars to see the great views. Also visit Conwy castle, beautiful scenery.

Visited Conwy a few times for day trips and decided we would like to stay for the weekend, and found Conwy Holiday Park. We bought a tent on the way, rang in the morning and they told us to just book in when we arrived. Easy check-in, great colour coding to find your pitch in nice, large, secluded areas. The park was just what we needed in a fantastic location!

Fabulous Easter Break. Returned to this site with my daughter in her caravan which is on a seasonal pitch, the facilities are smashing, lovely clean toilets and showers, there's a little pub on site, park and play area for children, indoor play area for rainy days. We take the dog and walk for miles with beautiful views of the estuary and wildlife. 5*

My wife and I spent Easter weekend at this site and we had great time. The sites the toilet and shower blocks get cleaned daily and the staff are helpful and friendly. We have two dogs they enjoyed the long walks within the site. There is playground within the site over looking the estuary with swings and a ripwire and our grandchildren really did like that. There is a path way over the hills that takes you all the way to conwy castle.

My husband and I spent a lovely long weekend in Conwy; the town itself is gorgeous. If you manage to be lucky enough to get some sunshine like we did you should definitely go explore the beaches round North Wales- the better ones are usually hidden- ask a local or one of the receptionists where to go! The site is lovely and spacious and has plenty of great sunspots, if like me, you like sitting for hours on end in the sunshine! The site is set out into little cull de sacs which gives a nice community feeling with the people on the pitches near you, without feeling crowded or isolated on such a large site. The club house was open on the weekend, my only recommendation would be to serve food as that would have been really convenient for us!

We came to the campsite at the start of April in a group of 4 tents and felt like we needed to write this review as we cannot understand some of the negative comments on here! We had no problems and the reception staff were extremely helpful in positioning all four of us together in a secluded area. The site is very big which does mean that you sometimes have to walk a little way to get somewhere, however this also means the pitches are large and spacious and you can get little cul de sacs ideal for large families going over more than one pitch. The views were lovely and there are nice play areas for the children. Conwy is a beautiful little town and we will be back again soon! Thanks!
